Clean newer bathroom facilities. Showers were hot and free. 24hr laundry and dump area on site. Treed in site with full services and no issues. Was quiet for us and enjoyed the view of the open field with mountain backdrop. Easy to get into town and access to all major routes for day trips. Accommodating hours and easy to arrange doggy daycare when we did some day trips. Fenced and shaded area for pups. Mosquitoes were NEXT LEVEL. Had to set up a serious bug coil defense and bathed in spray. Sometimes couldn't be outside without being eaten alive! Enjoyed our stay. Don't blame the mosquitoes - come prepared.

FALSE ADVERTISING! There isn’t any riverfront camping or view. We drove 7 miles outside Golden hoping to camp near the River. Very disappointed. Also, no Internet. The washrooms were decent but you have to continually push the knob to keep the shower flowing. Nice privacy between the sites but all require a long walk to the washroom. The Host was very nice but we won’t go back.

The only real downside of this campsite was the overwhelming number of mosquitoes , even with insect repellent, they just wouldn’t stop biting. It definitely cut our night short since we had to go into our tent early, and we left earlier than planned too. That said, the location itself is great , close to a small town for quick supply runs, and they have a clean, free washroom with showers, which isn’t always the case in other spots. If it weren’t for the mosquitoes, this would’ve been an ideal place to camp.

This is a beautiful campground with wonderful amenities like a very clean wash house with showers, toilets and ample counter space. The office staff was helpful and friendly and there were lots of games etc that were free to use. Yes, there are mosquitoes, and lots of them. Just come prepared and you’ll be fine. When it was windy and sunny there were NO bugs and I happily laid out on the deck of the yurt. We originally booked a tent spot but realized that our tent jumped ship at some point on our trip, luckily they had a yurt available. The yurt was pretty cozy, there’s a bed, bedside table and a little loveseat. It was raining the first night and there was a drip that came inside, but otherwise it was pretty cool. The views are stunning and it looks like an awesome place to bring your dog. They have a doggy daycare which we didn’t use, but thought it was cool. They were also offering donation based yoga classes which we didn’t take part in, but thought I’d mention.

It’s false advertising to call yourself a Riverfront Campground and not one single site anywhere near the River. Very disappointing. $48 a night for 30 amp and water. Sites are nice and secluded. A bit of a hike to the Shower which we haven’t tried yet as we’ve only just arrived. The host was courteous. It’s a bit of a drive from Golden. Approximately 7 miles.

We received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The pitches are perfectly laid out – level and surrounded by lovely trees, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The facilities had the cleanest toilets and showers we encountered on our entire road trip – big compliments to the staff! A special highlight was watching the adorable prairie dogs in the meadow near the campground – a wonderful nature experience perfect for observing and photographing 😊. The only minor downside: There were a lot of mosquitoes (though of course this isn't the owners' fault). Regardless, we would choose this place again in a heartbeat and can wholeheartedly recommend it!

It's surprising to see so many one-star reviews about mosquitoes, something unavoidable in nature. My husband and I spent a night here on our way back to Calgary, and we had a great experience. The campsite was more private than we anticipated, and the location is stunning. Yes, there were plenty of mosquitoes, but that's out of the campsite's control. During our dinner in Golden, we heard many people mentioning how bad the mosquitoes are this year (so obviously it’s not just that one campsite) Just come prepared, and you'll enjoy your stay!

We had our wedding at the riverfront campground in July of 2025. Our experience with the Misty and her staff was disappointing top to bottom. We gave a list of deficiencies over a month in advance of things that needed to be taken care of. When we showed up to set up for our wedding the day before the event absolutely nothing on the list was done. The venue wasn't even cleaned. Worse yet, The septic field was completely backed up and overflowing. (who doesn't want to get married with an aroma of human feces in the air?) Thank goodness that we hired an amazing wedding planner and were able to get things straightened out to an acceptable level (or so we thought). On the day of the wedding the unthinkable happened. The children of our wedding guests were at the playground beside the pavilion during the ceremony. When one of the little girls saw her mother who was a bridesmaid taking photos. She went to run across the field to see her mother and fell directly into an open, unmarked septic tank. Had it not been for the luck of our wedding DJ seeing her fall in, who knows what could have happened. This has proven to be a truly traumatic experience for the child. In the months since the event, we've gotten absolutely nothing out of the campground. No apologies, No ownership, No account ability of what happened. The only response we've received is "we tried our best". The campground is negligent, Ignorant, and incompetent so much so that it is unsafe. It is truly a shame to see a place that could be so amazing run so poorly.
