GOLDEN TULIP ADDIS ABABA

Excellent stay at the Golden Tulip. As described in the images, the hotel was beautifully decorated throughout. It is well located with everything you might need within walking distance. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which was spacious and soundproof. Everything was up to date, the WiFi was strong and reliable and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating allowing us to check out late since our flight was in the evening. Highly recommend the room service, it was delicious! Overall, a wonderful experience we would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Addis in June 2025, and our experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated with genuine care. The customer service was top-notch. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The restaurant offered a wonderful variety of options, with delicious meals for every taste and occasion. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we were always impressed by the freshness, flavor, and presentation. I must give special mention to Gugsa, who was absolutely amazing! He made sure that every detail of our stay went smoothly, from planning our visit to ensuring we were comfortable throughout. His professionalism and kindness truly made a difference. Though I’ve forgotten her name, the General Manager was equally wonderful polite, attentive, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to personally check on us and ensure everything was perfect. Overall, the Golden Tulip Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way — clean rooms, excellent food, and a staff that genuinely cares. We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ethiopia!

I had an excellent experience at the Golden Tulip Addis Ababa Hotel. The property is perfectly located near Bole International Airport and in the heart of the business district. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had strong WiFi, great water pressure, and one of the best beds I’ve slept in while traveling. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with both Ethiopian and international options. Room service was fast and the food was top quality. The mezzanine bar offered a warm, cozy atmosphere with friendly service, and the Ethiopian coffee at the lobby café was rich and delicious. A special mention to General Manager Estifanos and Duty Manager Fikir — their professionalism and hospitality truly made my stay exceptional. It was a good experience overall, and I really enjoyed many parts of it. The service was friendly, and the environment was comfortable and clean. Everything was well organized, which made the experience pleasant. However, I didn’t find many options that matched my preference for fast food.

Had such a great time here for the last 28 days! The location makes it ideal for visiting the city. The hotel is beautiful with large, comfortable rooms. The staff gave excellent recommendations and were very attentive. One of the highlights of our stay was the Havana bar, they host a live Ethiopian oldis music every Thursday. Great energy, music and even better cocktails! Worth checking out if you can. The food was another highlight, there was a variety of local and international dishes so lots to choose from. Will definitely miss starting the day with a fresh cup of Ethiopian coffee every morning at their coffee corner! Fantastic stay, we would highly recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite paying $100 per night, the morning staff refused to provide me with one bottle of water when I was checking out at 8:37 AM. I asked politely, and the answer was simply: “You have to buy it.” Is a single bottle of water really something that could “break the hotel’s budget”? Especially when the request comes from a respectful guest who had no issues throughout his stay? This kind of treatment made me cancel my upcoming reservation for Monday. A hotel that does not respect its guests is not a place I’m willing to return to. Very disappointing and completely avoidable.
