The worst experience I've ever had in my entire life. If I could give it negative stars I definitely would. Where do I even begin: -The building feels like it's going to collapse the moment you step foot inside. -The reception staff was a little rude. - No one is there to help you with your bags. - I tried the lunch and the breakfast, it felt like it had been prepared a week prior. - The bathroom had mold, and it felt like it hadn't been cleaned since the hotel was open. - The corridor lights don't even do the job they're supposed too. - When booking a hotel you would expect free WIFI but tell me why I had to pay for it, and it was still so bad. -The room lighting was so bad you couldn't even use it to do anything. -The doors for both the room and the bathroom didn't lock, this is a major safety issue. -The room felt wet and humid, and the AC doesn't even do it's job. -The couch was broken and it smelt disgusting, I'll spare you the details. - There is a mosquito problem as well. - During the early morning hours there was this chlorine/ chemical smell that was so strong to the point that it would choke you. And last but not least, the overall atmosphere felt very unsafe but that is subjective. This was not even half of what we witnessed overall.

Had an amazing two nights in here. Staff were very friendly and helpful, whatever you need the will try their best to help you out. Breakfast was 10/10, hotel filled with facilities and you don’t want to miss the bbq night buffet at the pool. Had a great time.

We had booked 3 rooms for a day. The check-in was smooth and our telephonic request for interconnecting rooms made at the time of booking was duly complied.||The place is a hidden gem and is around 10 mins drive from main Nizwa town on Birkat al Mouz - Nizwa road. The place in itself is on a pretty isolated spot but the feel inside is very good.||The hotel is not very big. The garden is well maintained and the walk around the place in the evening is quite relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and, as per our group members, the pool facility was also good. ||We loved the buffet breakfast in the morning as it had something for everyone.||If you have your own conveyance, I would suggest that you stay here and explore the places nearby from here.

It's a nice hotel with a reasonable price, boasting a pleasant pool and good food. However, it doesn't quite deserve a five-star rating. The room was noisy due to the constantly running bathroom extractor fan, which couldn't be turned off. The gym was poorly equipped with no water, towels, and the machines were switched off.||I whold have given a four but our disappointing experience, was being stuck in the elevator. It eventually went out of order for two days. We called reception twice for assistance, but no one came to rescue us. Finally, someone else called the elevator from the ground floor, and it reached that level and opened its doors.||I went to reception to complain about this incident, as I believe their emergency procedures are inadequate. While problems can occur, and procedures can always be improved, that's not my main concern. My primary issue is the lack of explanation or apology from the hotel staff.

Golden Tulip lies 10 km outside the Nizwa city center. So forget about wandering the city streets unless you have a car. ||It’s a sprawling complex, rooms surrounding a very large courtyard, so if unlucky, you would walk quite far to get to your room. The lobby is huge and impressive, with many things to feast your eyes on. It’s supposedly one of the best if not the best Nizwa hotel. ||Positives – the AC was east to operate. Blackout curtains were effective. Sliding glass doors on one side - there was actually a balcony that led to the inner courtyard where all the room faced so that was nice. There were two 2-seater sofas, light brown (walnut?) woodwork including a simply-designed headboard. Both night tables had outlets (but one of them wasn’t working). The T&B had the usual close-up mirror, dryer, and weighing scale, and the washbasin was large so there was very little spilling.||For negatives, the shower stall was open so water spilled onto the T&B floor; we had to wipe off the wet water pool with towels. The shower tiles were slippery. The room has a locked minibar – which we didn’t appreciate; we could’ve asked for the key but it was too much bother. The room is all ceramic tiles – no carpets. There were 2 small frames but no art piece above the bland headboard space. ||Breakfast is off to the side of the lobby and shielded from lobby goers by discreet dividers. The spread was quite decent and it had an egg station.

We have just spent two nights here as a base from which to explore the area. Wonderful hotel. The pool is like an oasis. Buffet dinner by the pool was lovely and the food choice and quality were both excellent. One of our family is coeliac and the staff were fantastic making up special dishes. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

A glorious hotel in an ideal location. The staff have gone above and beyond what we expected to make our visit comfortable and special. Our room was a bit dated but very comfortable and spacious. The TV system had no Netflix facility which is surprising. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommended, worth the stay if visiting Nizwa! Very comfortable stay, the staff was extremely accommodating during the breakfast time. Fawzy was extremely helpful throughout our journey plus he was very friendly with our 6 year old.
