We had a fantastic stay at Golden Tulip Stone Town Boutique! From the moment we arrived, The rooms were clean, cozy, and beautifully , The location is perfect for exploring Stone Town, and the views from the rooftop were absolutely stunning. Thank you for making our stay memorable, we would definitely love to come back again!

Excellent breakfast and lovely indian rooftop restaurant. Comfy beds and close to all major attractions in stone town. Perfect hotel for a 3 night stay to explore Zanzibar. ||Swimming pool was clean and the garden area to relax is well maintained. Overall loved the place

I stayed at this hotel upon arrival and departure from Zanzibar. The first time it was a short and enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, during my second stay I was upgraded to room 301, which is large and overlooks the swimming pool, but it needs maintenance, especially the bathroom, which needs immediate maintenance. It is a very noisy room, as you can hear the sounds of the elevator and the water pump. The furniture is luxurious, but old and needs to be upgraded. The location is excellent, overlooking the port, but the entrance to the hotel is on a potholed street. The staff is friendly and respectful.

The staff is very very very co-operative. Especially Mr. Hasham who was so kind and so very helpful with everything we needed. He ensured we had very smooth stay and also sorting out the within town and around visits. Special thanks to Ms Habiba and Ms Zawadi(Restaurant) were very kind to help during the stay.|Thanks to Mr. Hasham making us feel at home when away from home.|The property is very well maintained property with pool. Housekeeping was perfect. Needless to mention the restaurant serviced very delicious food.|Thanks Team Golden Tulip.

Cozy, neat and aesthetically pleasing rooms. Great service Amazing location, literally 1 minute walk (road cross) from the Ferry stations. And a few minutes walking from night markets and the rest of the downtown experience. Near main centers like the mall and a hospital (needed it) Most agents and tour guides know it well so they pick you up right here.

Review: Golden Tulip Stone Town Boutique Hotel – A Major Disappointment Wow… what a disappointment. This hotel is absolutely not worthy of the Golden Tulip name. It damages the brand’s reputation more than it upholds it. The rooms were dirty, the beds were terribly uncomfortable, and there was constant noise from staff—even after placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign and repeatedly asking for quiet. There was a complete lack of attention to detail and no sense of customer care. Staff couldn’t follow the simplest requests, which made an already subpar experience completely unacceptable. Honestly, this hotel should be unbranded immediately and overhauled from top to bottom—especially the staff training and cleanliness standards. This was easily a minus 5-star experience. Avoid if you value your sanity or sleep. Also WiFi is terrible !!! And NO HOT WATER !

The hotel is located in a nice area, close to the beach and within walkable distance to most places. The rooms are nice and cozy. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and kind. I enjoyed my stay, definitely coming back and I would recommend it any day.
