This local public library is a true treasure. The kids' area is thoughtfully designed, making it a delightful space for young readers. The staff's warmth and expertise make every visit a pleasure. Five stars!

Delightfully clean, safe, and convenient library. There's plenty of parking space in their lot and there are nice big conference rooms with all the tables and chairs you need. They also have nice clean restrooms.

Nothing big, but it's a lovely place to sit and study. Not alot of selection for books, cd, or movies though. Just your simple such.

Small but great local library!! There’s always something great to grab off the shelf and it’s really easy and convenient to do online holds from other libraries to pick up here. 😊check out process is so easy and smooth too, also appreciate the automatic book renewal process!! What an amazing resource to have in our community.

The Golden Valley library is a smaller metro library all on one floor. The staff is always very helpful. The remodel is lovely. They are located on a beautiful wooded site with a creek running past. They have large and small rooms you can reserve. There is a children's section and computer stations.

Wonderful small library, very nice kids and teens areas. My boys both love playing in the children's area. The marble run is up and running and we be a hit with any kids. 😻

A lovely small neighborhood library in Golden Valley. Staff is helpful and quick to offer book recommendations. They also have a great holds shelf where you can pick up books you have requested ahead of time. Pro tip- your library card comes with access to the Libby app which unlocked ebooks for an iPad/kindle/nook

Baby Storytime with Ms. Michelle from 9:30- 10-15 on Thursdays! Help develop your child's concentration, social skills, communication skills, and encourage their imagination and creativity.

Friendly staff. Easy parking. Clean. The high school kids can get a bit loud so if that's a problem for you go really early or later in the day. Overall an awesome cozy neighborhood library.

Stopped in on my travels looking for a place to return books while I was out running errands. Easy enough to find, lots of easy parking, friendly staff. This particular location is one of the small to medium sized libraries. The day I was there, computers were available, there was a large reserved book section (you are able to order books from other Hennepin County Libraries or via InterLibrary Loans and have them sent to your neighborhood location) and the space was quiet and comfortable. There are meeting rooms available to reserve and they were good sized. Also available at this location is storytime for children, a great way to expand their minds. Access to walking paths from the parking lot too in case you wanted to add some exercise time into your library visit.

I had a meeting here and it was my first time to check out this library (I have a "thing" for going to all of our area libraries, so I was thrilled to make it over here for a purpose! It's an older building and small in size, but does the job (I don't hold the size of a library against anyone...if you can transfer books from any library, that's all I need)! The only thing that's a bit of a downer is that the return slot is outside. Not a big deal, but why not have it both inside and outside...nobody's going to want to return their mountain pile of books one-by-one on a cold winter's day. Anyway, the meeting room that we reserved was perfect for our purpose. We were able to skype in another board member without any connectivity issues. I know I'll be back for future meetings, so I'll be scoping out for further ins & outs!

My normal library is on break from story time, so I logged on to the awesome Hennepin County library website and decided to check out the story hour at GV. Its a nice building with a good side parking lot. By the number of books in the reserved section, I'd say this is a well used library. Story hour is in the activity room which is nice bc there's plenty of room. Librarian Mary did a great job picking a theme with good books and some activities for the kids. I was especially pleased that the music she played was not purely for kids! I prefer the Beatles to Raffi anyway. No offense to Raffi. Where the story hour was a failure however, was crowd control. I can't believe how many parents and grandparents let their kids go wild! And the librarian only asked the kids to sit down once. Its pretty distracting to have kids standing right in front of the book, especially when they are old enough to know better (At least 5 or 6 years old!) Another big plus is the huge assortment of lunch options just a few blocks south.

This a great smaller location of the Hennepin County Library system. It's in walking distance from home and has wonderful computer access. The system has a great selection even if you have to have it sent over from another location. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Great place to go. You can sit and read a book, check out a cd or dvd. They have open computers you can surf the web for free. Very kids friendly with lots of kids stuff and books. You can request books or movies online and pick them up for free. Auto checkout for quick books on the go. Its a great library with a very friendly staff.

This is a great small neighborhood library. The staff is friendly, helpful and always circulating so they are available. I especially like the kids area, with the books kid level for little hands to pick out their own books. They also have toys and kids computers to occupy my son while I gather books. There is a rocking chair in this area too that I find nice and cozy if my son just can't wait to get home to read a book. It is a small library, so they don't always have the book that I am looking for, but the online reservation makes it super easy to reserve the book and pick it up from their hold section.

This library is pretty small, but it is very quiet because most of the people that come here are neighborhood seniors. There is almost always a computer available... (didn't I just say most of the visitors were seniors) and the desk staff is very helpful and friendly.They have a computer assistant there most all the time, so if you can't figure something out online or on Word, they will help you out.
