We just had dinner at Goldener Anker and it was nothing short of outstanding! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Chef Patrick is truly exceptional – every dish was a work of art, perfectly balanced in flavor and beautifully presented. You can taste the passion and precision in his cooking, and it made the whole evening feel special. Our waitress Nastassia was warm, attentive, and genuine. She made us feel welcome right away, guided us with great recommendations, and provided service that was both professional and heartfelt. The combination of Patrick’s culinary talent and Nastassia’s gracious hospitality made this one of the best dining experiences we’ve had anywhere. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and book a table – you won’t be disappointed!

My husband is following a carnivore diet and would recommend the steaks as well as the beef tartar. They make a simple green salad extra special with unique twists like replacing ordinary croutons with goat cheese wrapped in filo. They give great attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. David and the rest of the staff provided great customer service. We were in Interlaken during a heatwave and this was one of the cooler (temperature -wise) restaurants inside.

Truly outstanding restaurant in Interlaken right next to the river. Quality of service is superb and very attentive. Truffle fries We’re amongst the best I’ve ever had. Just for that you get 5 stars. The risotto on the other hand was a bit lame. Please check your recipe for the cordonbleau. There’s to much bread Panade wich isn’t really suiting well with the dish. Whiskey sour was a if made in New York. Thanks for a great dinner!

Our evening meals were good, but didn't measure up to expectations after receiving several recommendations to dine here. The "Anker" sauce on the meat and fries was interesting, but nobodt's favorite. None of us would say anything was bad about our meals, but we would choose to try other restaurants rather than return here for another meal. Our server was pleasant and spoke English to us, but she wasn't readily available to help with drink refills and other needs during the meal. The dining area was adjacent to a billiards table and bar, so it was on the noisy side.

This modern high-quality restaurant blew us away with its exquisite cuisine and impeccable service for dinner today. Standout dishes included beef tatar with truffle sauce, leg of lamb with finely mashed potatoes on wine gravy, and a variety of special starters including a light fish on cucumber and pesto which was amazing. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience!

Wow - incredible food and service all evening, staff very friendly and extremely helpful, food was stunning, and for a posh Switzerland restaurant it wasn’t too badly priced. (Not cheap either) But if you like good food then this is defo worth a visit.

That was propably the worst dinner i ever had. The waiter never refilled wine, took zero attention to anything, didn't even laid out the fork and knife properly, didn't ask if we want water or anything the first 15 minutes and had not even a plan wich was the drink and wich was the wine card. The Salad was soaked in to much dressing and the pasta had zero seasonings. To throw cream, a spoon of cheese and 5 mushrooms on top and then call it a sauce is wild. The interior looks nice but it's sad in what you turned that place when it comes to food quality and staff. As local i can clearly NOT recommend that place!

Cozy restaurant with very good food. Staff is very and helpful. I was surprised that they were so considerate to split the food to smaller portions for me and wife to share. Very considerate of them. We ordered pork chop and perch fish fillet fried in beer batter. Very tasty. Highly recommended

You can tell that the chef here is really something special but the service and attitude out in the dining room doesn't match. We went on a very slow night. There were maybe 5 tables. We were told to wait for a table to be set for us despite seeing the while dining room already set. We had to ask for water. The burger was good but doesn't come with a side so you need to order that separately.

WOW! We are on our honeymoon and have been excited to try new places. Thank goodness we came here the first night one of being in Interlaken! It was so good, we came back twice in a row!! Thank you Ilya and the team at Goldener Anker!

They have an English menu, and an English speaking staff. My sister and I came here for swiss cheese fondue. It came with bread and potatoes. The swiss fondue has a pretty strong white wine, which was nice. The bread is not hard nor tough, and the potatoes were just boiled, not salted. I'm just a passing tourist, so this was a tourist's checklist for me. They have an international selection of food, but they are all subpar.. I mean, if you're trying to get asian food in a small town in Switzerland, at least go to an asian restaurant.. you can't expect good asian food in a swiss restaurant. haha

If I can give a negative star review, this would be it. It takes a lot for me to rate an establishment this poorly. But this is well deserved. Especially when my friend and I are and were very patient. We arrived 10 minutes before opening but appreciated that we were able to sit and have our drink orders in. My friend ordered a glass of chardonnay and I had a cappuccino. We ordered the cheese fondue to share, as this was recommended on a travel blog. That was 28 per person. My friend had her glass empty for 45 minutes whilst our waitress was slurping up spaghetti across the restaurant. Within this time the fondue never made it to our table. A rather polite employee passed us and we asked about our fondue. When she went to check on it, she said it was never put in. She was very apologetic and said it wouldn't take long if she put it in, however, this was enough to walk out. Only positive side of this was drinks were on the house, of course warranted as I don't even want to imagine if this was not offered. This is unacceptable in any situation but more so in a country that is notoriously expensive. Please steer clear of this place!

Excellent service the owner was so kind in helping us navigate the menu. We wanted to try fondue since it's Switzerland after all;) The wonderful owner suggested a half portion which turned out to be the perfect size of cheesy goodness. At the end of the fondue she asked if we'd like her to add an egg to cook in the bottom to help get the last of the cheese. She said that it was a common Swiss practice so of course we said yes and it was delicious. We shared an entree of the beef with a morel mushroom sauce that came with a side of hot butter noodles. Very good. The sauce was rich, delicious and earthy. Recommended.

Came for the ostrich and was NOT disappointed. Incredible flavor and presentation for what initially looks like a dive bar. Magnifique!

We loved this restaurant near our hotel, which was away from the touristy part of town. Service was great - everyone was friendly and helpful in navigating their very large menu. Decor is a little off (eclectic meets outdated), but don't let this dissuade you from dining here. We started with the house red wine - an excellent, local choice. My husband had the fondue (because Switzerland, right?) and I had a vegetarian ravioli dish that was fresh and delicious. We talked about going a second night, it was that good!

Delicious food. French onion soup is incredible!!! Sow service but kind people. Off the beaten path but worth it

The hub and I had dinner here after doing laundry at the laundry mat down the street. The laundry took quite a while so we were worried the restaurant wouldn't still be open at 9pm, but we were in luck!! We ordered the potato pancake type dish with cheese, egg and bacon which was sooooo yummy! And we had our first cheese fondue since arriving in Switzerland. It was also good! 5 stars!

A large selection of food; for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Fresh meats and vegetables. Friendly service and made accommodations for our free spirited toddler. My husband and father loved the beef on their hamburgers the bun was hard though. I ordered a curry dish...it was pretty good! The decor is a little off but kind of eccentric in a good way. My dad loved the salad bar and said it was the best salad he has had.

The food are all delicious! Salad is free of ch. The smile of the grandma here will light your life. And there is also billiards for free.

The menu of the day was an excellent deal, and the Swiss fondue was top notch! We were so glad to get to eat here.

So this place was right beside our hotel and I thought it may be worth checking out after walking by after our day trip to Jungfraujoch. A quick check on yelp said worth a try and we were not disappointed. Started with the fondue as we haven't managed to sample it yet..simple and quite yummy w just wheat bread and boiled potatoes. Moved onto the salad course with plenty of fresh veggies and house made French dressing. Sirloin, cannelloni, fresh caught perch, and the pork chop were all nicely presented and tasted fabulous! All in all a pleasant atmosphere, unrushed pace, knowledgeable and friendly staff made this a great end to our day.

My girlfriend and I had dinner at the Goldener Anker twice while visiting the Interlaken area. One night we had the burgers and another we had the veal. The service was good in both cases and the food delicious. The burgers were pretty simplistic without many of the fixings I have come to expect, but was made of a quality beef and cooked perfectly. The veal was also very good and served with homemade flat noodles. It was a tasty (though expensive) meal. With very outgoing and helpful wait staff, this is a good place to visit if you are in the area.
