Please be aware that they do not accept payment by card. We were directed to to a nearby ATM to withdraw the 50 odd euro cash for our meal! While we accept cash payment on food/ drinks under 20 euro it seems ridiculous that would by accept a credit card for something over that. This the first time we have experienced this since travelling in Germany. Also while our meal was lovely we thought the 8.90 euro for a glass of wine a little steep.

Have you ever booked a room and found out you either didn't complete it or made it wrong. That was my situation. But, as fate would have it, we made it to The Goldenes Lamm. The proprietor is simply the best. She welcomed us with open arms. This hotel has been in her family for 150 years and you can tell she carries on this tradition with pride. Our rooms were small, but completely adequate and the shower was a "shower!" Not inside a tub.|The bed was sumptuous and I believe the best bed so far and we've been out about 19 days. Our dinner here last night was delicious. The waitress helped us muddle through the German menu and found a wonderful dinner. I had pork medallions wrapped in bacon with a yummy cream sauce.|Take my advice as I don't throw compliments out nonchalantly, stay here!

We stayed one night in Room 1, which is a triple-bedded room. It's at the front of the house above the dining room, with a view of the street. We didn't really hear much from the dining room, and people left at a reasonable hour. ||||The room was very spacious, with a wonderful bathroom as well. I appreciated the kettle and tea service in the room. Breakfast was an extra charge, but only 4 euros. ||||We reserved parking for our little rental car, and it had its own private room/garage bay. We were easy walking distance to the town and the Christmas market, and we quite enjoyed our day in DInkelsbuhl.

My husband and I stayed for several nights in December, 2022. The hotel is located within the walls of this ancient city on the Romantic Road. It is easy to walk around the city, visit the lovely shops, and photograph scene after scene. Our room was spacious, quiet and nicely renovated. The hosts were lovely and went above to make us feel welcome. There is parking behind the hotel should you arrive by car. We highly recommend Goldenes Lamm to travelers.

We had a wonderful stay at the Goldenes Lamm for Easter weekend 2018. Our room was large, quiet and very comfortable, with a dressing area, couch for relaxing and room for us and our daughter. Beds were comfortable, and we slept well. The bathroom was spacious and very clean, with two sinks and a great shower. The location was perfect, one block from the center of town on a quiet street. It was great to have parking in the village for our rental car. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with personal touches and a wide variety of foods for every taste. The restaurant was lovely with a windowed room at the back that I'm sure is opened up for outdoor dining when the weather is warmer (too cold during our visit). It was a nice surprise to see that the Easter Bunny had found us to deliver treats to our breakfast table before we came down! We were sad that our travels did not have us in the restaurant at dinnertime, because the menu looked very good. Next time. Dinkelsbul was everything we expected and more. St. George's for Easter Mass was a highlight.

Stayed for one night . Lovely local style building . ||A very spacious room with comfortable beds, very clean with ensuite bathroom. Welcoming owners and a lovely breakfast (with a lot of housemade items with lovely little touches such as knitted hats on the boiled eggs. ) . There was a lovely outdoor area . ||Perfect location in the center of the old Dinkelsbühl , free parking , free wifi. We ate at the restaurant in the evening , the food was delicious !

We stayed in this delightful authentic hotel for one night on our cycling holiday. We were very impressed by the decor and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and clean with a view of a stork's nest outside the window. Our evening meal was typical Bavarian fare which we loved (being from Australia). Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in a quiet street only a short walk away from the main square. Dinkelsbuhl is a beautiful walled town. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

A lovely cosy hotel that is not far from the town centre. Room cost is not expensive, the room I had was very much old world charm with exposed beams and smaller windows but with a modern bathroom . Service was friendly and breakfast was a tasty buffet with many different choices. Bonus that everything was easily within walking distance.
