Unfortunately a very disappointing and unprofessional cooking course. It was my first course (Family Meals from Vietnam in English) at G&S and it already started with an impersonal welcome and lack of customer care on site. Things were strange, tense and uncoordinated from the very beginning. The course was supposed to be in English, but the assistant hardly managed to complete the introduction and for the rest of the course there was a mix between English for beginners & German. To the course itself, not enough guidance, not enough cooking stations, didn't get an overview of all dishes cooked at all (2 people took care of 1 dish), had hardly something to do and therefore didn't learn anything. Sorry, my partner thought me how to peel garlic. Spent altogether 3,5 hours standing around, listening, watching (how the master chef finalized the dishes) and at the end enjoyed the food, which was the only fun part of the evening. The wine offered in between, was good too. Altogether, it's not what I imagined of a cooking course, not being able to cook any of the dishes later at home. Even not how to prepare sticky rice, since it was already prepared upon our arrival. Apart of the teacher (chef) who was in general friendly and tried hard, the organization seemed to be not existing. All other staff members were not attentive, supportive and appeared to be partly lost. I won't start with the staff's friendliness & smiles which were not existing at all. As mentioned, very disappointing for my first cooking course and for the price, which I though I was doing at a professional place. Seems like that any street food place in Asia would have thought me more.

I only visited this shop once, never to return. A wine I tried buying was 8€ more expensive at the till and the salesperson just looked at me and told me that the price had gone up. I did not get that wine, and when inspecting my receipt later I saw that the wine scanned (the one that cost 8€ more) was a different wine than the one I brought to the till. The person was completely rude throughout my whole visit there. Funny how a shop can forever lose a customer by providing an awful customer experience.

Wonderful experience! We did a cooking course and learnt a lot from the chef! The course has a small group and everything is made to have a great time there. Once you're done, you can enjoy your creation with everyone, and it was delicious! I will come back for sure!!

I am surprised about this place, because I never got in every time I passed by, then today out of curiosity I went in and saw that they have different imported goods (foods), books, different kind of products. As my friend's birthday is approaching, I also find something here as for his birthday present. Other than that I bought 3 cans of fish (also imported products from France and Portugal, and I know the brands, they are good brands). After I paid, I discovered the bill they charged were not correct (higher than what they displayed), so I went up to the cashier and asked him why and pointed out on the shelf that it showed as a lower price. So he gave me back and returned me the money. I guess it is because they forgot to update the price on the shelf, well, at least he return me the money immediately, thanks.

I will never shop here again after being racially profiled and falsely accused of stealing, despite purchasing several things from the store during my visit. The employee that accused me of stealing treated me with so much disrespect, and kicked me out of the store. Here is the story: I was looking for a friends birthday present and knew this place had some really nice things that I could give her. I walked around the shop looking through the different tea options, chocolates and other things that would be good for gifting. I had a feeling I was being followed by one of the employees, but just figured they maybe were walking around in case I had any questions or needed help shopping. After making a decision, I went to the cashier (very tall man with brown hair) and I noticed he gave me a really mean look. I was really confused, but disregarded it. After paying for the items I turned around to walk out and the employee (asian man with big hair) asked me in a very rude tone of voice where I put the tea. I told him I bought one of them and put the other one back because I changed my mind. He shook his head in disbelief and made a remark like “yeah sure”. I asked him if he was accusing me of stealing after buying something and he said yeah and kept shaking his head. I told him he could look through my bag but he started getting angry at me and told me to “get out”. He opened the door and kept telling me to get out. I was deeply hurt, embarrassed and traumatized from this event. I would like to share my story so that others are aware of the type of people that are working at this establishment. I used to love shopping here, but will never support this place again. I will 100% be letting friends and neighbors know about what happened.

Located in lovely Prenzlauerberg is the Goldman and Sampson cooking store, with specialty foods from around the world. I found their cooking classes online and signed up for the German Summer Grub class. We learned how to make Northern Sea Prawn soup, Veal Dumplings in a White Wine Caper sauce, and a fresh summer berry dessert. I had the best time here and met some amazing people.

I love the coffee and bakeries here very much. We came every other day during my stay. <3

A superb store where you can buy tasty well everything. Impressive selection of cook books, spices, chocolate, candy, coffee, pastry, bread, cheese, butter, tomatoes, apples, etc. Very friendly service and nice small tables outside to have a cup of coffee with a croissant or a cookie.

I have not had the chance to take part in the cooking courses here, but they are supposedly legendary. Wether it is Sushi, Vegan, traditional german or even middle eastern. You will learn it. The staff is very friendly and always ready to give advice. I am addicted to their bakery, and pretty much consume the croissants and Bagels regularly.

I can only speak for the coffee, which is good and they have oat milk! Also, friendly customer service.

Just wandered in for a look, but seemed promising. A varied (though not extensive or exhaustive, by any means) selection of foreign condiments, large selection of oils and vinegars, moderate wine selection, baked goods, dryed goods, large selection of cookbooks (in German) etc. Don't go on the hopes that you'll find something specific, more just to browse. They also offer cooking lessons in a fully-equipped kitchen, and have seating inside and out for, I assume, coffee and cake.
