What a great lodging choice in Missoula! The Clark Fork meanders just outside and inside you have all the comforts of home. The owners thoughtfully furnished our Blackfoot apartment with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The unit was spotless, there’s a fully-provisioned kitchen, a washer/dryer if you need it, plus excellent a/c and convenient off street parking. Loved it and would be happy to return.

We had such a great time here! Got to meet the owner, Jordan, who was awesome—and he even pointed out a beaver on the river to my wife and me. We’re visiting from south of Boise and had never seen a beaver in the wild before—bucket list moment! The only bummer was we wanted to stay another night, but it was already booked 😭 Our night here was just what we needed after a long drive. We felt right at home and had every need met. The room was so comfortable and you cannot beat the location right on the river. Thanks for a fantastic stay, Goldsmiths!

Great rooms nicely decorated in a central, waterside location. What’s not to like?||There’s an Albertsons nearby for groceries. And Finn’s is also close with waterside drinks and dining. ||Our daughter’s room even had a washing machine, a bonus on a road trip. Room also has a terrace and there’s a balcony at the entrance. ||Highly recommended!

We stayed a night in the Bitterroot Suite on the top floor, it was wonderful. Loved the views and the peaceful sound of the river from the balcony. The suite was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Perfect location right on the walking path close to downtown. Will definitely come again....and stay longer☺️

Such a great location and accommodation in Missoula. We rented two apartments to attend the Zootown Music Festival and the location was perfectly situated between the two shuttle stops in Downtown and the University. I highly recommend the Inn to anyone who will be visiting Missoula and wants to stay in a historic location on the river.

This place was absolutely amazing! Beautiful room that was spotless and fully stocked with kitchen amenities. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the river. It only took 10 mins to walk downtown along the river pedestrian trail. Hands down best value in town!

Fantastic place next to the river, clean, comfortable, little touches that made it a comfortable stay: extra charging ports, shampoo in the shower, hand soap next to each sink, rugs at the entrance to wipe your feet

Yelp
What a lovely place! Came to Missoula and was able to stay here. I was in room #4, the Duniway, and it was beautiful upon arrival. The B&B is located on the river, so I had the most breathtaking view and enjoyed listening to the river. My room had a comfortable bed, four pillows and it's own bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. The B&B is very clean, with very cute decor. It also has a fascinating history, including how it arrived at it's current location. Thank you for such a relaxing time. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
This B&B is such a special find -- from its ideal location on the river to the efficiency and ease with which it is run. RT is so personable and welcoming - making me feel at home. I stayed at Goldsmith's seven nights, five of which I was solo, as I attended orientation and prepared to leave my freshman son at U of M. Honestly, I could not have picked a better spot. No need for a car, home-cooked breakfast daily and comfortable rooms. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Can't say enough good about this space. Perfect location on the Clarkfork River. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. We will definitely be back for our next stay. Can't wait.

Yelp
Stayed at Goldsmith's on the recommendation of a friend and we loved it! The building is historic and has a very interesting story, is situated on the Clark Fork, and is very close to both downtown and the University of Montana. The hospitality is wonderful too, with freak breakfasts available from 8-9 am every morning. We'd love to have the opportunity to stay at Goldsmith's again if we are fortunate enough to make it back to Montana!

Yelp
Missoula, Montana didn't make my Bucket List of Travel, but when you're a 'plus one' at a wedding there ain't much choice. Accommodations are what you would expect in a college town, but since my couch surfing days are behind me and corporate chain hotels don't exactly say romance, we opted for a B&B. The bride and groom, residents in the area, recommended Goldsmith's and we arrived with little as far as expectations. After grabbing a car (5 Series!) on the Turo app (airbnb for cars!) we were welcomed by the owner (son of the original owner) who directed us to our simple but clean room. The building has all sorts of history which you can read about in the entry while your S.O. takes forever to come downstairs and leave. The local university is right across the river that runs no more than 30 feet from the front porch and a bunch of restaurants are walkable if the weather is nice. Wifi was included in the rate and there was a TV in the room but we didn't ever turn it on. The smell of bacon woke us up every day before we eventually made it down for breakfast. The Veggie Strata was so good, but the menu changes daily so maybe you can request it? The host always asked what we were up to that day and even made some suggestions. Take his advice on visiting Montgomery Distillery and Big Sky Brewing! The dining room was full every morning but I don't think I heard another person there our entire stay except when housekeeping brought us more towels. If I were ever going back to Montana I would definitely stay here again. But I don't think any more of her friends are getting married.

Yelp
We stayed in Room #4. It was clean, cozy, and well-appointed. Beautiful view of the river! The host, Jordan, was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great! Location is wonderful - very scenic right on the river and quite close to campus.

Yelp
This is a great place. Centrally located in walking distances to downtown and the university. Rooms are perfect and breakfast was awesomely prepared by our hosts.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to stay. On the river bank, walking distance to everything you need, beautiful area, and very nice room. The room was spacious with our own sitting area and small balcony facing the river. The breakfast was great!

Yelp
We had a great stay on the way from Portland to the Black Hills. The room was comfortable and large and the house overall is beautiful. Breakfast was very good and well presented. The building is directly across the Clark Fork from the campus, and only a few yards from a pedestrian bridge crossing the river into campus. There are a large number of good places for dinner within easy walking distance, and after the long drive we had to get here, the walking was quite nice.

Yelp
We stayed here one night while in Missoula and it was so great! It's an older place (which, I know, makes you think dirty) it was extremely clean and well kept. The guy who stays on the property is extremely welcoming and gave us great recommendations on things to do. Plus the breakfast was delicious!! Constructive criticism: get hair conditioner for the showers.

Yelp
Our new home away from home in Missoula. Perfect location for walking to restaurants, hikes, shopping and the university. Nice porch overlooking the river makes for a great place to reflect on the day and sip on a great Missoula beer. Outstanding breakfasts that changes daily. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well stocked. Jordan is always around and is great with local tips.

Yelp
I had a last minute bridal photo shoot planned and I was looking for somewhere in Missoula to accommodate me and my photographer for an hour. I was welcomed in to do the shoot in any room that was available. The rooms are great! Cozy and beautiful right by the river. Also, Jordan was extremely friendly and hospitable. If I ever need a place in Missoula to stay it will definitely be here. Thank you Goldsmiths!

Yelp
My husband, myself and my parents had the most amazing stay here. Meg was so accommodating and professional, and we found the accommodations to be above and beyond our expectations. I was delighted to have found a place to stay Christmas night, and was really touched by how far Meg went to ensure our comfort and ease of checking in. Our breakfast upon leaving was outstanding, and so beautifully served. If you have a chance to stay here, don't miss out!! We will absolutely be back!

Yelp
I'm not necessarily a B&B person, finding them sometimes a little stuffy, but I could not have been happier at Goldsmith's, which was anything but stuffy. This place is downright homey, the food was totally de-li-cious, and the hosts were so very friendly and welcoming. I arrived in Missoula late, and they had left me a hand-written card (not a note, a card!) welcoming me and detailing instructions on how to get the key. The room was spacious and very clean, and the riverbank location is serene. This was my first go at a Montana B&B, and I am completely impressed. If I'm ever in Missoula again, this will be where I stay.

Yelp
Missoula, Montana: This beautiful 1911 brick building is Missoula's only riverside B&B, right on the Clark Fork River just across from the University of Montana. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking wine and watching people walk the paved "river trail" next to the B&B. We also witnessed some rafters drifting past us on the river. Rooms were very nice, had our own full bath .. next morning's breakfast was delicious.

Yelp
Although I was unable to stay at Goldsmith Inn B&B due to changes in my schedule I was very pleased at how they handled my cancellation. Not only did they stand on their word that if the room were rebooked, I would receive my cancellation fee back. They contacted me immediately following the rebooking to make me aware of the changes and credited my account. These kinds of things just don't seem to happen these days which shows me how much Goldsmith Inn cares about their cliental. When I return to Missoula, I will most definitely stay with Goldsmith Inn. A respectable, professional B&B. Janine

Yelp
GREAT experience at Goldsmith's B&B. Literally a short walking bridge from the campus. Home is truly historic and impeccably maintained. Ambience was second to none. Will definitely be back! Thank you Jordan and team!

Yelp
We had an amazing stay at this B and B! It is quaint, full of history, and centrally located as well! We had a second story room, #4, that overlooked the river and the University of Montana. The breakfasts were wonderful, and Meg, the innkeeper, was so friendly and accomodating! She made her guests feel as though they were her very best friends! We came for a Cal Poly/Montana football game, and we plan to stay here again every time we come to Missoula. This place is definitely a winner in all respects!

Yelp
Wonderful stay. We were in room 8, plenty of room for us and kids. Beautiful along the river and close to everything. Meg is great, made a delicious breakfast and helped with things to see and do. We will be back to stay again.

Yelp
I rated Goldsmith's five stars because of the proximity to University of Montana, friendliness of the manager, cleanliness of our room, view of the Clark Fork River, and the delicious breakfast including a special effort to provide a gluten free and low sodium breakfast for us. Jordan offered good advice about sightseeing and stores for buying fishing supplies. This will be our "home away from home" while our grandson attends UM.
