Really full all the time, hard to get in. People make reservations, check in, then don't even put a tent on and come back on the weekend only, or put a tent up and is empty for days on end (see pictures). Really annoying, and unfair for people who actually want to camp. Many empty sites that could be used by others. Otherwise nice park for camping. Paved so kids can bike or scooter. Surprisingly don't have many flush toilets, but have outhouses between flush toilets. Most sites are nicely treed. Some of the tent sites have sand squares for tents that looked kind of small, some tents didn't fit on the 8x10 looking squares as we took a walk, so make sure to pay attention to that. Not too many mosquitos in August, but lots of moths. Waterfall walk is nice, not too long if you walk through the campground, then about 5 min to waterfall down some stairs. Bike park for kids is nice. Playground is nice.

This is the most amazing campground for natural beauty! It's like camping in a scene from Jurassic Park! 🤩 Sites are gorgeous and the waterfall is stunning. We spent hours swimming and playing in the water.

The campground itself is lovely. We got the last space I believe. There were ‘bear in the area’ signs up but other campers had their space like a squatter site. Food left out, items strewn everywhere. I pointed it out to a member of staff but nothing happened. No one was at this site during our stay! So the food / open cooler was out at least 24 hrs Staff didn’t remove food left in plain site. Also folks smoking despite ban. There were at least 5 sites empty (within view of our site) whilst we were there despite the full sign at the entrance. Shame to be turning folks away when sites aren’t being used. Most folks are respectful and kept dogs on the leash/ under control however a few just let them run off and poop wherever. Again staff aware but not guiding people to correct behaviour. They have plenty of pit toilets with paper and sanitiser. Shower block was clean and sinks externally for your dishes. Drinking water taps were numerous too. Lady we met at gateway was lovely. It would be a great place to stay if inappropriate behaviour was held accountable. Lovely old growth. Walks by the river. Instead we didn’t want to stay as we had the ‘food campsite on one side’ and the ‘dog running wild, barking and popping on the other’. Staff should be empowered to help them deal with guests not abiding by the rules and detracting from the enjoyment of others. A great place let down by a few.

Nice campground in the forest just outside of Langford. My partner and I arrived on bicycles. This campground has warm showers, water pressure is really hard but I’ll take a shower over no shower. Outside the shower sheds there is two sinks to clean dishes. This campground is really busy. Lots and lots of families and dogs Lots of kids playing and enjoying the cool bike park and playground. If you want peace and quiet, I wouldn’t recommend this campground. But if you have kids, I would recommend! There are plenty of cool trails to explore and swimming lakes about a 20 min cycle down the road!

Nice campground where everything is spaced out but being by the one playground, you will get a lot of kids screaming. It is a very kid friendly spot with enough space to walk and have cars driving by. The restrooms are heated and there are showers as well. There is a quick trail that leads you to goldstream falls. Reasonably priced and although surrounded by forest...its not too private. Large campground spots though.

I love this campground so much: old growth trees, showers, spacious sites - what more could I ask for! Small piece of constructive feedback: the shower in the disability bathroom is almost scalding hot. I use this washroom due to some physical disabilities, and I found that the water was almost scalding this year and last year as well. I confirmed this with a friend who also uses that bathroom - they too found it incredibly hot. It was very hard also to bathe our kids in this shower as they are even more sensitive to the hot water. Please turn the temp down! Or make the water temp adjustable. Thank you!

Great location. Quiet. Clean toilets. The app and booking system is rubbish. 2 days to reserve is ridiculous when travelling. Site was nice and ranger was super friendly.
