Goldy's! Tavern

This pub is chefs kiss. Specifically most recently the double cheeseburger. WOW. Where to begin? First of all, the aroma of the beautiful burger caught us off guard. It was almost if, dare I say, love at first sight (or smell). The flavour. So demure; pickles coming in with the right hook, the recoil on that perfectly grilled bun, and that beef just straight up punching you in the face. Not to mention the mouth watering, toe curling, sweet sweet sauces that blended together perfectly. To top it all off, the cheese was melted to perfection. Every bite was better than the last. Bonus points for the phenomenal window seat we acquired amongst a packed pub. We people watched and narrated those outside the window, what a perfect Sunday afternoon. You’ve done it again goldys, what can’t yall do!!!! 11/10 would eat again.

I took my son to Goldys travelling by train from Ivanhoe for an adventure. It as buzzing by the time we arrived at 5.55pm, outside and in. We got some drinks and settled in to a lovely space to relax. We had a double cheeseburger which my son said ‘ it was the best ever!!’ and I had the salsa verde schnitty which hit the spot beautifully after a day at athletics. You need to come along and try for yourself

Such a great pub in a great location. It does get quite noisy in there though. We went for the Wednesday steak special and was rather disappointed overall. The 45-minute wait for the steak was acceptable, but when it arrived it was burnt on the outside and came with barely any chips. Not only did it look burnt (conveniently hidden by the sauce), it had an even stronger burnt taste. Had we not been in a rush and it not been so busy in there, I would have sent it back. On the upside, the burger is fantastic and the hommus is even more amazing. Just a shame about the steak.

We had a really great night at Goldy's Tavern, in Collingwood, recently. The atmosphere of the place is very warm, relaxed and engaging, and the waiting and bar staff very friendly and helpful. It is dog friendly, and has plenty of lovely seating options both inside, or out under some leafy trees. The staff were very kind and careful to make a special plate out of their delicious fairy bread dessert, delivering it with a candle burning for our wedding anniversay. Which was that day. My wife and I had our post-wedding dinner in the Good Bois Room and it was great. The organisation with Claire in the lead up was very smooth and the staff very helpful. Our guests were obsessed with the food, we're still getting comments 2 weeks later about how great it was. Izzy and the other staff on the night were very attentive and friendly.

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Goldy's recently and had a beautiful night. Goldy's were really flexible via email leading up to the event and helpful on the night. I wasn't sure who to talk to about my booking when I arrived but the bar staff were super friendly and checked in with me periodically. The space was the perfect mix of sitting/standing and was cosy and private without feeling disconnected from the general vibe of the pub. I got great feedback from all of my guests as well.

I highly highly recommend Goldy's Tavern and will be returning!! I recently hosted a birthday event in the beer garden and my friends and I all had a lovely evening and raved about the venue. The staff are super friendly, and serve fabulous drinks. The decor is also incredibly unique and cozy. My friend loved the parma too.
