Golf & Hôtel du Domaine du Gouverneur

The hotel was lovely,clean and staff were very friendly. We were there for a family wedding and it was perfect. The only negative was our rooms were not ready by 3pm checkin . One was ready at 4:30pm and the other not untill 5:00pm. This did hinder us as the wedding began at 6pm so it didn't give much time to shower change and get ready, as anyone going to an Indian wedding knows it takes time to get ready .

stayed at this hotel for a wedding it was over and beyond our expectations, great location, staff were very attentive and helpful. The only downside was We had people who were vegetarians and the clubhouse and restaurant did not have much vegetarian choices of food. Maybe more types of bread with various vegetarian fillings would have been nice. There are no nearby restaurants to go to so had to stay at hotel As we attended a wedding, we were ok for food but just thinking if we were to come again as the location was ideallyic. Just a thought.

Super staff, location and the general vibe around the place. If you like golf or general relaxation in a beautiful setting, this is a great place. Breakfast was really nice in the morning and super efficient. The bedrooms were always very comfortable

Great place for a golf week-end : very calm location, great staff, very nice food at the restaurant and nice breakfast too. The 2 golf courses are interesting and in beautiful shape. We'll come again sure ! Thanks for all.

Golf course review: the course has a fantastic layout and has an acceptable length to still play decent golf as a mid handicapper. But be aware of the water and the trees lined up ahead; they capture your ball to be never seen again. The practice facilities are superbe, including Trackmans on all driving range slots. The rating of the course might be a bit overplayed though but still it was the top destination beside UGolf Mionnay and Golf de la Bresse (the latter, by the way, is connected to Le Gouverneur Golf course). That the course was very dry at my time of visit cannot be credited to the golf course itself but just the unfortunate weather; and, Le Gouverneur was the course in best shape in terms of fairways and greens from the three I played at the end of July. The sand bunkers need some work; it almost feels as hard as grass and one has to rather chip out of it rather than hitting a sand bunker shot.

Really disappointed by the hotel and the staff. The breakfast (22EUR / person) was a rip off: there was no bread, no plates, no glasses. As food, there was only a small plate with some slices of salami mixed with some Italian bacon. Nothing else!!! As for the coffee, there was only a pot/coffee carafe with cardboard coffee cups. No one from the staff was around and we had to wait few good minutes until someone showed up. We left the place hungry and disappointed, and drove until we found a boulangerie in the next village. Really wasted 44 EUR with this place, but also will never return or recommend it!!

What a beautiful place to have a business meeting at after 2 years of no travel!!! The place is highly recommended for business meetings and team building activities!
