Good Chance Popiah Eating House

Food is really sumptuous! Definitely must eat the Popiah which is moist and filling — 1 portion is never enough! Love the prawn paste chicken as well, very flavourful and crispy! On top of that, the service was warm and attentive, which made the meal even better. Will be back to eat more dishes 🤤

I visited Good Chance Popiah today and had an interesting experience! The DIY popiah was a highlight—it's really fun to make your own rolls and customize them just the way you like.However, I did find that the prices for other food items were on the higher side. For instance, the oyster omelette we ordered cost $19 before tax, and in total, we ended up paying around $61 for just two dishes: the popiah and the oyster omelette. While the omelette came with a generous amount, I personally preferred it to be less overcooked.On a positive note, the service was excellent! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the popiah experience. It’s a great option for family gatherings, as making your own popiah can be a lot of fun!

For someone who loves popiah, this place has one of the best popiah! Everything was homemade, having 7 different types of vegetables in it. Everything was fresh and service was excellent 🤩. The store gave me nostalgic vibes, super homely. The boss and staffs were all super friendly and catered to our needs.

Tried Hao Cai Popiah and was really impressed! The signature kueh pie tee is crispy and packed with fresh, tasty fillings — especially good with their prawn paste chicken wings and ngoh hiang. The Hokkien mee with crispy pork lard is full of wok hei and super satisfying.Don’t miss the yam paste dessert — smooth, not too sweet, and a lovely traditional finish to the meal.Friendly service and great local flavors. Definitely worth a visit!

Fine dining bento at reasonable prices! We have so loved Good Chance over the years, not just for popiah but for their authentic hokkien dishes - our favourites: Ah Gong Vermicelli, Fish Maw Soup, Fried Prawn Dumpling, Fried Garlic KaiLan, Sweet Sour Pork etc Had a home dinner party for 10pax but not enough space to move around for mini-buffet catering. Tried my luck & asked boss for a bento, he customized to fit my budget - an impressive spread of dishes exquisitely laid out in a bento box. See how the Prawn Dumpling had a sweet sauce in a dropper ‘injected’ into the dumpling? It was paired with a homemade pickle. The elegant Jade Tofu came in a yummy seafood+mushroom sauce. Some of us were conquered by the super strong chilli for the Fried Vermicelli. Bentos came in warmer bags, had my guests gushing like mad - thank you, Good Chance!

Tried Good Chance Popiah for the first time and it was such a heartwarming experience. The DIY popiah skin was slightly thicker and pleasantly chewy — perfect for holding all the generous fillings without breaking. Loved the crispy Pie Tee, flavourful prawn paste chicken wings, and the nostalgic Hokkien Mee with crispy pork lard. The yam paste dessert (Orh Nee) was the perfect sweet ending — smooth, rich and not overly sweet.

I really enjoyed the popiah here — the skin is super thin and soft, and it’s packed with generous, flavorful fillings. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. The other dishes we tried were also delicious. Definitely a great spot for local snacks!
