Where to Stay in Bangkok (Updated 2025)

"I found Good Day Hostel a laidback option in the middle of the city’s busiest shopping area with clean dorms that include privacy curtains, individual reading lights and outlets, a free 24-hour snack bar, and a tiny Canary Café whose Nutella crêpes are worth trying for breakfast." - Matthew Kepnes

Such an amazing place! Rooms, showers & toilet always clean. The bed is big and you have a lot of place to store your things! Always hot water in the shower and drinking water was always available!. Their cafe was so nice! I loved having their breakfast. The staff were so nice too. The hostel also has a shared space with TV, fridge, a computer and space to sit and eat. That is very special. Loved it and would definitely recommend! Thank you.

Recommended hostel near Pratunam. Cozy, convenient, and friendly. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm. They provide extra space for a locker, a personal table (suitable for a laptop), and an additional area for your private belongings (separate from the locker). However: The place is a bit small. From the outside it looks quite narrow, and I often walked past it without noticing it when coming back 🥲. Every night, the room lights are completely turned off, and it becomes very dark (not dim, but pitch black). Entering the room at night is quite inconvenient because I have to use my phone flashlight. I’m also afraid to turn on the main light because it might disturb other guests. As a suggestion, it would be great if the room had two types of lighting (besides the bed light): a bright main light and a dim light for nighttime. With the bed’s blind curtains, the dim light shouldn’t leak through or disturb anyone.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I chose this one because it’s female-only—the entire floor is dedicated to female guests. I stayed in both the 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, and overall, the experience was very comfortable. Another guest mentioned that this hostel has been around for quite a few years, which surprised me because everything still feels so homey and super clean. The female bathroom was always dry and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. The location is also a big plus—just a short walk to Pratunam Market, Platinum Mall, and December. I had breakfast at the market every morning and loved it! Check-in was simple; they leave your towel at reception for you to pick up. The AC is centrally controlled and only turns on after 4 PM, but it wasn’t an issue since there’s a fan in the room and most people are out during the day anyway. The staff were also very kind. I accidentally left my watch in the shower, and they kept it safe for me—really grateful for that. The only downside for me was the bed—it was quite stiff in both rooms I stayed in T.T That said, this was my first solo trip to Bangkok and my first hostel stay, and it felt super safe, cozy, and welcoming (aside from the bed). I definitely recommend staying here!

i like this hostel hospitality, checking in was easy even though we are late by few hours, just follow their instructions, surely you get it to your room. Breakfast at the hostel lobby was really excellent, great coffee and great food. A short distance walk to Platinum Mall, World Trade Centre and Erawan Shrine. Next to the hostel, there are many foot reflexology available.

I’m so grateful that the staffs are friendly and helpful! The location itself is actually really good and accessible by walking, to bts (their metro/mrt), to their bus stop and of course to order a taxi. It is very convenient to go around pratunam area for shopping and very convenient to go to other area of Bangkok city centre. The room, the toilets and the dining area are clean. They also provide small cupboard in the room that can fill your stuff with the key as well to lock it so yeah it’s definitely safe. I stayed here for 4 nights and It was lovely so yeah I highly recommend it to everyone especially for solo travelers like me. (10/06/25 - 14/06/25)

Do check their cupboard locker as its easy to open up even though its locked. However its was repair after informing the staff on that day itself. Shared bathroom and bed was clean and towels were provided. Staff were friendly and helpful.
