The Good Earth Organic Eatery is truly a magical gem. From the moment you walk in, the energy and atmosphere feel uplifting and revitalizing. The aroma alone is enough to make you smile—it’s absolutely delightful. Every dish we tried was prepared with such care and was simply perfect, bursting with flavor and freshness. Even as a vegan, I felt completely spoiled with the options and quality—it’s rare to find a place that feels this thoughtful and satisfying. If I find myself back in this part of the world, there’s no question—I’ll be back here in a heartbeat.

My sister and I were in Cape May for the day. I have Celiac disease and my sister was recently diagnosed with Alpha-gal syndrome (the tick transmitted red meat allergy) so we needed someplace that was vegan and gluten free. I found Good Earth Organic Eatery on the Atly app. The menu included fresh fish, vegan, and GF options. This place was fantastic! So much to choose from that we will definitely go back to try more. This time I had the salmon with lemon dill sauce and my sister had the flounder with marinara sauce. We shared the chocolate brownie cake for dessert and each took home peach blueberry crumble for later. It’s a BYOB establishment. The server did say they are a seasonal restaurant, spring through fall. Thank you for serving fresh, healthy food that also can accommodate food allergies.

Google
Top quality organic vegan food, and a fish menu for our pescatarian friends. A nice relaxing environment with some subtle live acoustic music to accompany the meal. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Google
We ordered an all-vegan catered dinner for a group of 30 people and the food was delicious, beautiful, and wonderfully fresh. We had a lovely variety of salads, appetizers, pastas, and risottos, including several gluten-free options. Our guests, many of whom are not vegan or vegetarian, were raving about the dinner and we had lots of leftovers that we ended up eating again the next day and they were still amazing on day two. Contrano and his team were responsive, professional, and very skilled and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great catering team.

Google
A quant little spot in the middle of a gravel lot strip mall. Call for a reservation, they were very busy. The kitchen is open and you can see them working from the dining room. Food was delicious, and portions were plenty!

I first found this establishment on door dash. I was shocked to find an organic restaurant with so many vegan/gluten free options. I had delivery twice from them before finally stopping in for lunch on our way out of town. The aroma that hits you as soon as you walk in the door is intoxicating, if I could bottle it, I would. The skill, care and attention to detail that goes into each dish is apparent and unmatched. In the few days I was there I enjoyed the mushroom risotto, crab cake sandwich, Mac and cheese, pesto pasta, bean “meat balls”, flourless chocolate cake and pumpkin bread pudding. My boyfriend also ordered a smoked flounder sandwich, he’s not a foodie and he usually complains when I take him to places like this but he said it was the best thing he had eaten in a long time. I immediately started texting family in the area and they already knew about this place and said to try to gelato next time. Trust me, there will be a next time. I’d go back to Cape May just for this place. Our waitress was wonderful, the dining room was beautiful, I even bought a shirt on my way out. It’s not often that I’m blown away by restaurants because my diet is so strict, this place blew my mind. I’ll be dreaming about that Mac and cheese until I can get back there. To the owners and staff: thank you for what you’re doing. Your hard work and skill is obvious in every meal you put out, and I appreciate it so much. If you ever decide to expand and open a place in Northeast Pennsylvania, I’ll be your best customer! Thank you!

Google
Good Earth is a cute little restaurant that I think you could easily call a hidden gem. The focus is on sustainable, vegetarian food and definitely appears to be farm to table given how fresh all the food tasted. Loved the asparagus and curry stew, veggie board (lentil dal, risotto, sauteed sprouts), salad, and the strawberry mocktail! After a long day of walking and getting sunburnt, somehow this felt like a much needed revival! I really wish I had room for the salmon dish as well, I'm sure that was terrific!

Google
My favorite restaurant in my favorite place. Their sunflower seed pesto is one of my all-time favorite meals; I get it every time I go and it never disappoints. I also love their vegan Caesar salad and their seasonal desserts. One bite of the vegan pumpkin bread pudding with vanilla gelato had me saying, "Oh my G-d!" I'm so grateful for Good Earth Organic Eatery!

Yelp
This quaint little restaurant has very delicious food. Simple decor, but the food ,as well as the staff was wonderful. My 1st time there, but will definitely be on my date night list with my hubby.

Yelp
Very small quaint restaurant just outside the busy section of Washington square mall in cape may. Lots of healthy and fresh food options. I had the Thai coconut curry with vegetables and rice. Was a little watery but very tasty and fresh.

Yelp
I wanted to enjoy it more for my dinner but I was not a fan. I tasted the split pea soup and it was served luke warm so I was already thinking it could be better. Then for my risotto with mushrooms, i just thought I had had better risotto and the mushroom lacked flavor. Inside, the tables are crammed in and it had less of a warm, inviting feeling. I really just wanted to have some space between tables. Our service was fine, no problem at all. Im sorry to say this is a one & done for me.

Marie K.

Yelp
We have been going here for years and the food is always amazingly tasty and fresh! Everything on the menu is awesome. It's so nice to have a healthy place to eat on vacation.

Yelp
Ordered food for pickup through the Yelp app last night. Sunflower Seed Pesto, Asian Quinoa, and Mushroom Risotto all were tasty. I didn't like the black bean meatballs at all but the tomato sauce was good. My husband went in to pick up the order and he was asked if he was the driver or the person that ordered. He said orderer and he was told that someone had stolen an order so they had to ask. Our order was paid for including a 20 percent tip. Follow the golden rule and treat people the way you want to be treated. If you assume someone is trying to cheat you and they aren't, how do you think that's going to make them feel? I will not be supporting this establishment again which is unfortunate as there are so few places with healthy vegan options.

Mark Y.

Yelp
Average food at best. The food had no real flavor. Also overpriced for what you get. Would not recommend.

Yelp
This place is adorable! It smells welcoming like you want all the good earth eating they offer! The food is fresh and organic. What more could you ask for? Interestingly enough, they have moved away from credit cards. You can pay via Venmo, PayPal or cash. The funny part is they are vegan and serve fish/seafood. I understand why they say vegan and seafood, but it is strange. The menu is lovely! Organic home style fresh food for you food! Can't complain! I ate so much here and loved all the savory dishes I ordered. The salads were fresh and perfectly sized. I would love if they had a larger salad though, as I have a large appetite for salad. The zoodles were fabulous- there was a lot of extra sauce though, and I wish I had some more food to eat with it- anything would be delicious with it. The soups were perfectly flavored- not too salty or too heavy, but light and satisfying. I am not a fan of kidney beans but their chili was great. No fillers, just good ingredients! The risotto was well seasoned so that the food really took center stage- roasted cauliflower and squash. The green beans were perfectly cooked- hate to eat them over cooked, these were fabulous, just wish I had more! They kindly mark the menu for V and GF and GFO. So, parties in need of such designations need not press too much, as the info is there. The prices are fair for organic, local and Cape May. My only gripe is dessert. I had such high hopes, but I was not very happy with the fudgy brownie cake with apricot compote. I also had the carrot cake and couldn't finish it! Overall, the savory dishes are fresh, delicious, flavorful, hearty, healthy and amazing! I would be back anytime I'm in Cape May!

Yelp
Generous portions with a full vegan menu and a seafood list for the pescatarians in your group. Friendly staff, laid back vibe.

Yelp
Amaaaaaazing! Absolutely delicious and so healthy! The deserts were delicious too! The spicy avocado key lime will have us returning for sure!

R K.

Yelp
Great, healthy sandwich with a smile. Would have swapped out the potato chips if given an option. Ended up giving them away.

Sophia G.

Yelp
Wow this place was amazing!! The food was delicious, healthy, and didn't make me feel heavy. I have tried the vegan Mac and cheeses, the cod sandwich, and vegan crab cake sandwich (was pleasantly surprised with how delicious they tasted). Inside the restaurant felt cozy, including some beautiful paintings! The staff was wonderful as well. Definitely my favorite restaurant as someone who try's to eat on the healthier side. Wish I lived in cape may so I could enjoy this restaurant more often.

Yelp
I live in NJ and I haven't been to Cape May for years. During those years I became a vegan so returning back to Cape May as a vegan was different. I asked a friend and she suggested Good Earth. I went twice on different days during November and December. I have a special diet where I don't consume added oils in foods. So, I called and told them this request. They really worked to make sure there was no added oil in my food. I got the vegetarian special both times when visiting. It costs around $20 but you get so much food. I got a soup cup, a stew or curry cup, two portions of veggies and a side salad. The food was hearty, filling, and tasty. Their bathroom was tiny but clean and I often judge a place on how they keep their bathroom. I didn't eat inside but I saw the seating and it was nicely spaced tables. This is the kind of place you can bring your non- vegan friends because they serve seafood as well. They are closed during the coldest winter months of January and February (I think). I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
The most flavorless and over salted food I've ever eaten . None of the ingredients were fresh either and when I politely mentioned it being able to eat it, I was verbally harassed
google avatar

Alexis S.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in my life. Every meal prepared with care, love and kindness. You can't go wrong.

Alyssa B.

Yelp
Amazing healthy vegan food! The bruschetta and the pistachio gelato were my favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a gem. We found it last year and have been obsessed with their food since. I saw a negative Karen review (Angela H) and felt compelled to add mine because I couldn't disagree more & they honesty don't deserve it. If you like organic / earthy / heart felt food, you'll love this place.
google avatar

Karen B.

Yelp
we love this place, the food is amazing! Who would have thought that something so special would be in a strip mall off the beaten path in West Cape May.

Isabela U.

Yelp
Food was wonderful! Our seafood dinners were fresh and delicious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere was quaint and felt like being in a restaurant in Italy. We will defiantly be back!

Yelp
We've gone to good earth twice; both during restaurant week. They have two menus; one pescatarian $35 and one vegan $28. The vegan menu has lots of options and even 4 types of dessert. Our server was really nice and attentive but was juggling a few tables at once and we saw our food ready but he didn't bring it over right away. The salad and lasagna I had were both great. I gave my husband my dessert and he really liked it. It's nice there's a restaurant with many vegan options close to downtown cape may.

Yelp
Family owned, simple ingredients, delivered in the most appropriate manner. This establishment aims to please. The entire restaurant puts out this simple, light atmosphere which is well expressed in the dishes they serve. Owners are warm and welcoming and frequently engage in conversation. In today's health conscious environment, Good Earth Organic Eatery is exemplary. The green tea was very delicious, but don't stop there. Other Yelpers have recommended the homemade almond milk (will have to try next time). As a starter, I went with the buffalo cauliflower bites which were amazing. Perfectly seasoned and great portion size. For main dish, the almond crusted cod with side of veggies was perfectly made. Was trying to avoid desert, but because I was so impressed I ended up with and Apple crisp pie. Mouthwatering. Overall, highly highly recommend if in the Cape May area. This place aims to please. Call for reservations or wait. It's worth it. Simplicity at its finest! Price was pretty standard for organic, vegan, gluten free options. Will be back!!!

Matthew G.

Yelp
Good presentation was amazing and flavorful. Loved that it was gluten free and all the options they had.
google avatar

Mips C.

Yelp
Good selection of well made dishes and soups. There are vegan options there as well as some seafood dishes for those who want more variety. Would recommend.

Gigi S.

Yelp
Great food, great service. Love the plant based options. We will return :) on our next visit to Cape May. My husband, who is very picky, loved the Italian style flounder. I loved the cauliflower steak. I took the flourless chocolate brownie cake home. It was delicious. Everything was delicious.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place. The idea, the inspiration, the menu is all we were looking for. Unfortunately the execution was not. The location is small, and the tables are close to one another. Service is friendly. The bread that they make at home was not my cup of tea. And the preparation, presentation and finish of the dishes was just not very good. Overall we were disenchanted with the meal but will still go back in the future to give them another chance. Hopefully it will go better then.
google avatar

Yelp
All I can say is....WOW!! Food was fabulous and service was too!! Scallop dish and salmon dish is what we ordered for entrees. Appetizers were Avocado toast and mixed bruschetta. Appetizers and entrees were awesome. Loved everything! I'd go again in a heartbeat. Owner even came over to our table to introduce himself and see how we liked our dinners. Very happy!
google avatar

Yelp
I loved everything about this eatery from the decor, the smell, service to food. The menu and specials has something for everyone's taste buds. We started with iced tea and they brought us local honey to sweeten it with, what a treat. I had a fresh tuna salad on gluten free bread, which was fabulous. No mayo on the sandwich as they don't serve dairy. The tuna was fresh. I also had a side of seafood risotto which was robust with flavor, had several clams and a local scallops. Dessert I couldn't resist as they had gluten free blueberry pie with vanilla gelato. Dinning experience was wonderful and I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Tired of the crowds in Cape May proper and waiting an hour to eat ? Try This Gem in West Cape May! Picture a dining area that easily seats about 30,decorated in earth tones with soothing music overhead. Beyond the dining area is the huge menu board located over the kitchen. Every time I've come for dinner there have easily been 9 or 10 specials in addition to their regular menu. Tonight is bluefish w herbs with a risotto side that is adorned with a clam and a scallop. Have I died and gone to heaven? All ingredients are organic, fresh and locally sourced. The owners brought their love of healthy organic cooking to the US from Italy. Not only are the meals delicious, they are artfully presented. It's soooo easy to eat healthy at a place like this.

Yelp
Great service at this charming place. I had the seitan sandwich which was a pretty solid choice, it seems. i would have liked some more flavor in the seitan itself, it's house made so they could easily throw in some herbs and spices. The bread was absolutely magnificent and there was some pickled cabbage on the sandwich which was a nice touch. The sweet potato fries were absent on the menu this day, replaced with baked sweet potato. They were could but could have been crisped up a little more. For dessert I had the peach and blueberry crisp with some vanilla vegan gelato. It was good too, though very lightly sweetened. Our waiter was attentive and relaxed, and we enjoyed our meal on their nice sized patio which is expansive enough to feel safely socially distanced from other diners. All in all a good place in a cute town!

Heather D.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Very homemade and fresh! Service was great! Small place only a few tables but was lucky to get in on a Thursday night! Would recommend if you like fresh fish and veggies

Yelp
CASH ONLY (ATM inside) We're all about supporting vegan restaurants (fyi, this one serves seafood too), but we're not sure how this place gets 5 starts from others. Our food was mushy, bland and/or salty. We were visiting Wildwood and Cape May and decided to stop by for lunch. The place is clean, the only waitress working at lunch was friendly and the food came out fast. 1. Sweet potatoes "French fries" were mushy and we got mainly potato skins. 2. Curried red lentil with quinoa - everything was over cooked. It'd look better if it was blended. 3. Quinoa tabbouleh - didn't taste like tabbouleh at all; I didn't taste the parsley, garlic or lemon flavors. 4. White bean and kale - honestly, I almost didn't eat it; cooked and seasoned with salt... that's it. 5. Sunflower pesto sandwich - SALTY!!! It was almost inedible. 6. The mixed green salad was okay. t reens, shredded carrots, sesame seeds and a vinaigrette dressing put together. We'll never come back and don't recommend it. Update after reading the owner's comments... My "taste" is of someone who cooks and eats Whole Food Plant Based meals, not "American Vegan." I buy organic (when available) and wash, soak and cook all my grains, legumes and nuts. I cook with the macro/micro/pro/pre biotic benefits in mind and that's why I picked your restaurant for lunch. I appreciate the food is prepared with love, but it needs more than that. There are very good reviews for the seafood meals so maybe the vegan meals need more attention/tasting. I accept your apology and wish you success in the future because we really need more good plant based restaurants.

Alex M.

Yelp
Delicious, elevated food. Generous portions. Lovely service. Lots of hearty vegan options.
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
Close to perfect. I usually get the salmon and pesto. Just remember it is cash only. Definitely a top 5 dinner place in Cape May in my opinion.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know where to begin! We saw this place on the Happy Cow app. We were staying in Cape May and figured we'd give it a go. When we pulled up, it seemed "sketchy". It was in a desolate "strip mall". I did notice that one of the other places in the mall was a pet adoption place. I knew it had to be good. When we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised! The place was very nice - decorated very nicely. The hostess/server was so, so nice. She seated us, poured our waters and told us about the specials. She was an absolute sweetheart. We were given a house salad to start, which was iceberg lettuce, carrot bits and sesame. There was a light dressing - like a light oil/vinegar mix. It was so good! I had the lasagna as an entree, which was excellent. Hubby had the quinoa quiche (which was good) and the vegan crab cake sandwich, which was incredible! I will be getting this the next time we go! For dessert, I had the chocolate brownie cake and their homemade chocolate gelato. Hubby had their peanut butter gelato. The desserts were AMAZING! Like....AH-MAZING!!!! The place is cash only, FYI. I did think that it was a tad pricey. For what we had mentioned above, it came to $60+ ($72 with tip). All in all, hands down, THE best vegan restaurant in Cape May!
google avatar

Megan E.

Yelp
If you find yourself in Cape May and want a delicious, healthy, organic dinner then Good Earth is the place to go! I, of course wanted everything on the menu. We started with the flatbread and hummus and devoured it. The hubby got the vegan crab cake, I got the scallops and seafood risotto and our son chose the vegan lasagna. We ate and loved all of it. And even though we were stuffed and didn't think there was any room for dessert, once the menu was read there was no other option. The cheesecake, pumpkin bread pudding and root beer float were delicious!! We highly recommend Good Earth!

Surfrox H.

Yelp
Perfect little place for my family and me! There are 2 vegans (including myself) in my family, so we were thrilled to have found a place that had a wide selection of vegan options. We were seated almost instantly. Our waitress (Nicoletta) was very friendly and even made some conversation with us. The staff overall was amazing. I had a kombucha to drink and I ordered the vegan summer curry dish. For dessert, I ordered dark chocolate pudding. It was very rich and everyone enjoyed it. The food was absolutely delicious, but the portions were small and also extremely expensive. The final bill was $148 (not including tip), which would have been fine if the portions were larger and filling. I definitely recommend to try this place, just beware of the prices and small sizes. Everything else about this place was flawless.
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
We've been coming to Cape May for years, we even got married here. Since we became vegans, we were always worried about finding a good place to eat at. Thankfully we found this spot. This was some of the best food I've eaten in Cape May in years.
google avatar

Marlena S.

Yelp
I am from NY and used to being overcharged for organic food. My daughter is from Arlington and used to being overcharged for organic food. This place has them all beat. $12 for what amounted to a cup of zoodles in pesto sauce. $9 for a brownie. No surprise the place was empty. Highway robbery.
google avatar

Jdkdxn B.

Yelp
DO NOT BUT THE PAD THAI, GELATO, OR THE SALAD. I DID NOT know it was possible to make something taste THAT BAD. Honestly blown away with the high prices and the poor quality of the food. This might be one of the biggest regrets of my life, which says A LOT. SAVE YOURSELF. If you read this and still go here, all I have to say is, you did it to yourself. (I love supporting local vegan eateries, but this place is NOT it). UPDATE: In response to the feedback Organic or not, the peanut pad thai noodles are still OVERpriced. 19$ for "OrGaNIc BLaCk BeaN NoOdLeS"??Just sounds like an excuse to make the high prices seem reasonable and fair, not buying it.
google avatar

Pasquale R.

Yelp
Healthy, Vegan and Organic...I didn't think I would enjoy this place. They proved me wrong. We ordered: Mixed plate and Tuna Raw Veggie Sandwich (not tuna with mayo...). Both were very good! Service was great (family run). Prices were a bit high BUT it's fresh and organic so I will pay that extra for better quality. Make it a stop on your travels to CM for a light lunch or even dinner. ENJOY! From the website: We are an ALL-ORGANIC restaurant that proudly prepares delicious, homemade, healthy food for our community. We support our local organic farmers by incorporating seasonal fruits and vegetables into our menu, and our local fisherman by serving locally-caught fresh fish. We use only stainless steel cookware in the kitchen - no microwaves or canned goods here! Our homemade breads are made using an all-natural sourdough starter. Our vision is to become one link in a chain that creates healthier people and a cleaner environment world-wide. Join us in achieving this! We are a family-owned and operated establishment. We moved to Cape May in 2012 from Le Marche, Italy. In the Italian tradition, we believe in eating seasonally with simple, fresh ingredients that allow the flavors of the food to speak for themselves.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Nothing spectacular about the place, but it's very clean. Food was ok not exceptional but not bad either. We had the pesto penne, seafood risotto and Thai peanut noodles. Penne was good and so was the risotto. Thai peanut noodle wasn't anything special either although the peanuts did taste a little stale. This place is also CASH ONLY, keep that in mind.

Yelp
The service and food is excellent.! It's a small restaurant with between 8 or 10 tables inside, they also have a few tables outside. My husband and I we started with the vegan Caesar Salad and the dressing was very good, one order is enough for 2 . I got the Poached flounder marinara sauce with the side of mushroom risotto and it was beyond excellent tasty. My husband had the Salmon dill and lemon with the side of mushroom risotto and it was also very good. It's also BYOB. I highly recommend this hidden gem in west Cape May.
google avatar

Rocco B.

Yelp
Good Earth Organic Eatery has exceeded my expectations. For only having one waitress they did a great job at getting orders in and food out. The food was beyond exceptional it was very fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend for anybody who likes to move out of they're comfort zone and try something new.

Yelp
Outstanding! If you like wholesome vegetables and fresh seafood, no need to look any further. We've been in town visiting for the week and this was by far our best meal. Quaint family owned restaurant with outdoor seating and entertaining staff. I had the cioppino and it was delicious. They do not serve alcohol but you can bring your own. Wonderful experience!
google avatar

Cheyenne R.

Yelp
This place was amazing to go eat at. My boyfriend and I found this hidden gem. We had a guy server who was so knowledgeable on the menu. Having a dairy allergy and peanut allergy he was very helpful and reassuring. Amazing. The hummus was so good! Very happy and will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Good Earth Organic Eatery Tops My List! Every item is made from scratch, organic and many locally sourced. As a vegan this restaurant exemplifies everything I want in great, healthy food with a unique creativity in every dish I've ordered. Try the vegan lasagna, vegan ceasar salad, vegan avocado toast and their off the charts maple lemonade. Bring your non vegan friends here, it changes minds!
google avatar

Yelp
It's amazing how rude they are. Put me on hold for 10 minutes so I can hear them laughing in the background. Ridiculous place. Can't give less than 1 star. I don't care if they serve good food. The staff is horrendous. Does the owner understand they don't give a s--- about their customers?

Randy H.

Yelp
This is such a fabulous experience. The food is frequently local, always terrifically contemplated & prepared, sometimes organic, My wife & I have been going when possible for a few years.
google avatar

Alison H.

Yelp
We were in Cape May for 3 days and ate here twice....need i say more? The only way to get food more fresh and natural than this would be to go to a farm, pick veggies from the ground then take them home to eat. Wait---that is pretty much what is happening here. We had lunch for $29 and dinner for $47. Felt great to give them my money. That said-The place itself it kind of dump-or to say in a nice way "hole in the wall". The location is secondary at best, spackle marks on the walls and whats looks like hand me down tables and chairs. Who cares, its clean and so is the food. Felt great to eat fresh food and not pay an arm and a leg.

Yelp
Nice homey feel and good service. Had the seafood risotto - yum! Only bummer - cash only.
