Good Heavens Rooftop Bar

Beautiful place, especially the rooftop. I’d highly recommend it if you’re planning a gathering with friends or a bar-style night out. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy. We wanted to order drinks with some light snacks, but on that part of rooftop you can only order drinks no snacks at all, not even chips. Because of that, we didn’t stay long and ended up leaving.

Great atmosphere, lots of sheltered areas and umbrellas in the event of Melbourne weather. Food was prompt and cocktails all well made. Staff were very friendly.

I love this rooftop bar, it has a good view of city buildings, it's close distance to various theatres which is how i discovered it in the first place. It has a great vibe, lovely cocktails and a cool pre-show spot to hang out with your friends before heading off to your theatre performance. One of my fave city go to's. My only 1 complaint is that our mojito was overloased with ice and not much liquid at all and at $20+ dollars, i did expect better.

2025: One of the many good choices for a rooftop bar in the city, gets very busy. Tables can be booked, but can get hectic ordering drinks at the bar. Another note, is that they don't serve energy drinks/mixers. ***

Great bar, nice selection of drinks to choose from. kids can be there until 9pm. which is not bad idea . beside that the foods was nice but maybe have a bit more variety beside that is a good place for drinks

Manny the security guard was absolutely lovely and deserves a raise. He was extremely professional and kind only doing his job in which he did an excellent job. He was very polite in meeting the demands of his management team and listened to my complaints and concerns with care. I truly appreciate workers like Manny and the world needs more of them. As for the venue management… Do not be fooled by the 1 star review for the establishment who call themselves “Good Heavens” (I’d rather go to hell), Manny the security guard is a 5 star security guard I wish I could give him a personal review .

Charlie!! An absolute angel! We held my birthday here last night (20/12), and she was so accommodating from start to finish. Charlie truly went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were catered for and that everything ran smoothly. I honestly can’t thank her enough for her incredible service and hospitality. She made our night so much more enjoyable and is truly an asset to this venue. We will definitely be back again!

A fantastic spot to catch up with friends over drinks! Whether you go in the afternoon or at night, the rooftop views are great. I love their current winter cocktail menu, the s'mores espresso martini is outstanding, I honestly reckon it's one of the best I've ever had! Good Heavens is 100% worth checking out!

It's always good to visit a bar that I haven't visited before, and with Melbourne there are certainly quite a lot of bars in which this can be done, since they do tend to be literally popping up all over the place. Well, this one is certainly no exceptions, and while it isn't one of the best rooftop bars that I have visit, it is still pretty good. Yeah, in a way there certainly does seem to be pretty nice atmosphere up here, and the staff are pretty cool as well. Oh, and I probably should mention that they have some rather nice beers as well. Yeah, this place certainly is pretty cool.

What a wonderful day to sit outside for lunch on a rooftop cafe. Warm but a bit breezy and eventually rain chased us off the roof. The food is Fancy Hank's BBQ from downstairs but it was the open fresh air that did it for me.

It's such a cool place. I can't believe that I didn't know this bar until now. It was pretty quiet when we went because it's Sunday night.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and for me this was the highlight of our mini rooftop bar tour of Melbourne. Larger than most and with the added bonus of being above Fancy Hanks, Good Heavens had a nice vibe. It was busy when we arrived but people didn't seem to stay too long so we managed to secure a table quickly. Good service and our cocktails tasted great! Definitely somewhere I could see myself spending more time.

Given the high standard of bars and eateries in Melbourne, I doubt Good Heavens will last very long. We got two drinks, nothing spectacular for $18 a piece. We ordered two burgers and chips from the food menu. The chips were actually great, well seasoned and crispy. The cheeseburgers were so rare, it looked like they didn't spend much time cooking them. For a $62 drinks and dinner, this experience was sorely disappointing. When we were nearly done, a surly blond bus boy threw his hands between us, nearly clotheslining my partner in the neck, and snatched our plate and drinks. He didn't ask if we were finished. He said nothing, only scowled at us. We weren't finished with our drinks! The fancy pineapple and cherry garnishes that we paid for were still sitting in our glasses. He knocked them over onto the floor and walked away. What a jerk! With all the other excellent bars in this town, we won't bother going back to this place ever again.
