This is a human-friendly, dog-friendly cafe that offers a quiet and calm environment during my visit. Each table against the wall comes with its own power socket, and there are additional tables and chairs inside. If you enjoy sunbathing, there are outdoor tables as well. I felt comfortable staying here.

Google
good karma is the perfect place to sit and read or get some work done! plenty of seats and outlets, and a large menu with food and drinks. the place is beautiful and never disappoints. i like their specialty lattes and usually get a bagel with lox. workers are also always super nice!

Google
This place is a gem ✨ Truly a great small but spacious spot to try. I went in there to grab a hot latte with oat milk with a plain croissant and it was amazing. I got to sit down and take my time and just enjoy a good morning. I went for an appointment next-door, which was very convenient and then after leaving, I went on and grab a cold brew drink. You should try it. It’s called “shake it up”

I absolutely loved the atmosphere; it was clean and cozy. I ordered an everything bagel with chive cream cheese, cucumber, and tomato, all of which were fresh and delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was amazing, and the coffee was superb. The service was outstanding as well. Sydney, who took my order, was incredibly welcoming & sweet! All of the staff members were genuinely happy, eager to help customers, and demonstrated a positive team dynamic. I truly enjoyed my experience and will definitely return! P.S. I overheard another customer on the phone saying how much he enjoyed it there too!

Google
I’ve been searching for the best chai latte in Philly and I may have found it. I got the honey vanilla chai and it’s phenomenal. As a bonus, I tried the classic breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, which is also fantastic. The bagel is the perfect texture and so flavorful, and the sandwich is so cheesy and yummy. Highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to try more of the menu!

A friend treated us to lunch here, and we'll definitely be back. The staff was welcoming and helpful in answering our questions. We each had a different variety of their chicken sandwiches on sourdough bread with lemonade or iced tea. We ate in the cozy back dining room, enjoying the art-filled walls and lush indoor tree by the entrance. The cafe's breakfast and brunch menu looks tempting.

Google
Hi, I came across this place driving by one day, and stopped in one day. To purchase a iced coffee and noticed a nice atmosphere and the cashier was amazing. She helped me by answering all my questions without because frustrated and giving off a nasty attitude. So with that being said the coffee was good quality and my choice of syrup was blue raspberry which turned my coffee into a green drink after adding half and half. But my second time there the iced coffee was amazing, I truly feel the was one of the best tasting iced coffees I ever had. 10+

Google
I got large latte and it taste a lot bitter and milk was overly steam, smoothie was great and almond croissant was great as well. However, I am a huge fan of coffee

Yelp
Good Karma Cafe was our very last stop before heading to the airport to go home. It came highly recommended by my brother who is local to the area. I ordered an iced matcha with lavender syrup and it was delicious. The cashier was very helpful in assisting me with deciding on which flavor would best complement the matcha. Lavender would not have been my first choice, but it was delicious and I'm so glad I trusted the process. This cafe also had ample seating room, making it perfect to get some work done or just cozy up with a book. I would definitely return!

Yelp
Nice shop, we popped in during a day of Christmas shopping. Fairly crowded but we could see a table so we popped in. Very quiet atmosphere, may have been people working as computers were everywhere. The usual latte and iced coffees were great.

Yelp
I like this place. The people who work here are very easygoing. I felt like I could've just chatted to them for a while tbh. Anyways, they're cool lol. The interior of the place is chill. There's a tree in the middle of the restaurant, which is always a green flag for me. I love the greenery too. The space is also surprisingly large. There is an area in the back with additional seating. If you walk in and see the place full, take a walk to the back before you start to panic lol. The food was pretty good. I ordered the avocado toast, and I actually liked it. The main reason why I didn't rate this place higher was because of the coffee. I just wasn't a big fan of it. Maybe I just wasn't specific enough about how I wanted it, but it just didn't taste the way it's supposed to. I usually order the same thung regardless of where I am, but it tasted off this time around. I'll give it a try again because other people seem yo like their coffee.

Yelp
Wow, not only is the cafe spacious, it is also quite pretty. They have an outdoor space, window space, as well as lots and lots of seating inside. The staff is quite welcoming and friendly. The mocha I had today was solid. Real chocolatey. Piña colada smoothie that my husband got was so good and refreshing. I am not sure if there were other fruits in it but in addition to coconut and pineapple, we could also taste mango and rose which is pretty amazing. The best part is they are open 7 AM to 8 PM (the hours need to be updated on Yelp but Google Maps has the correct number). Summer hours probably? As of 07/17/24, their patio is under renovation. The only reason of removing a star is because there were a couple of house flies so not sure if it is because of poor hygiene.

Yelp
Even on a vacation, there's still some work to be done. There is some commentary on work culture and such to be made here but that's not what we do here. The community/peer pressure of people working around me was what I would need to be productive. I looked around the area at several coffee shops within walking distance and Good Karma seemed to be one of the few that offered enough space along with a good vibe just off pictures alone. The greenery of the entry was what really attracted me. The staff were nice and my drink came out rather quickly. For my personal taste, I will say the music was a bit on the louder side. This didn't bother me much as I could just pop in my ear buds. I ordered the Rose Oat Chai over ice. While it sounded appealing when perusing I was a little disappointed with the execution. It really came down to personal taste but It was just too sweet for me! This was where the complimentary cucumber water came in clutch though! Ultimately, if you're looking to get some work done or have a little social coffee stop, I think it's a decent spot! Staff were nice. Bathrooms were clean. Music was good.

Yelp
DRINKS I came during lunch rush and had their 24-oz iced mocha. Considering how jam-packed it was, our order came out really quickly. It was a standard drink, nothing too special, so it's a solid place to visit when looking for coffee. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. Punch cards are available for rewards. AMBIANCE The place is located in the heart of a cozy neighborhood in Washington Square West. The interior is well-decorated and offers ample seating for study/work. Limited seating is available outside the shop as well. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity.

Yelp
I have been to Good Karma on Pine St multiple times since 2021 and have always loved it there. The coffee, the sandwiches, and the atmosphere were always top notch. We went back on Saturday afternoon and were really disappointed in the coffee we ordered. The staff was kind, and the remodel of the space is really nice; but, the iced hazelnut latte and iced dirty chai that we were served were weak and watery. Maybe it was just an off day because I don't have this experience at the other good karma locations; but, it was really disappointing.

Yelp
It's baaaaaack! My beloved coffee shop is back open after a mysterious shut down for a loooong time. The inside has been re done. It's lost some of its old world charm -no more creaky big plank wood floors, no aquarium with its eulogies to beloved fish come and gone - but it's funky and spacious. Looking forward to frequenting daily.

Flossie K.

Yelp
So so rude!!! Worst service experience Drink was too sweet asked for more milk girl just poured the drink half away and added milk shoved it back to me I said thank you she just ignored me! It's a $9 drink surely i can ask for a slight adjustment without an attitude

erin l.

Yelp
The colonel mustard on sourdough is delicious and the drinks are okay. The caramel iced latte and matcha iced latte are only good after adding lots of simple syrup into them. The matcha itself does not taste authentic and I wouldn't get it again. It is a bit more on the expensive side for both food and drinks compared to other cafés in the area. The atmosphere is great and there's so much space to do work. The service was nice.
google avatar

Jenna A.

Yelp
So happy they have reopened! Very clean interior and friendly staff. The bacon egg and cheese was weak sauce honestly. Won't be ordering that again but will definitely be trying other food menu items. A great neighborhood coffee spot and love the outdoor seating options. So cool they're serving canned beer now. Welcome back good karma cafe!
google avatar

Lindsey F.

Yelp
High prices to get breakfast sandwiches with just laughably small slivers of egg between slices. Better off going to Last Drop, Middle Child, Talula's, Jiggy, just anything else nearby really

Catherine K.

Yelp
I had the latte with honey and cinnamon which was pretty good. I also had a bagel with cucumber and tomato. It was delicious. There was live music when I visited which was great. The people working there were nice. Overall, I good experience.

Yelp
Favorite coffee place near my apartment. Excellent seasonal drinks and consistent breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Really unique and fun paintings from local artists that cycle monthly. Will continue to rely on GK as a go-to spot.

Yelp
Bright spacious cafe to do work or hang out. Nice staff and good food and drinks. I recommend the spring drinks, especially the lavender chai.

Yelp
Really have been enjoying some weekly coffees and breakfast sandwiches from Good Karma this month. Huge fan of the gobble gobble (turkey sausage breakfast sandwich), the regular bacon egg and cheese and also the Chai latte with oat milk. The french toast bagel of the month has a heavenly aroma, and the scallion cream cheese was awesome as well. Friendly service with hours ending at 5pm. The back patio is cozy with about 10 seats (a few double tables and a four person table). Got a special birthday cake latte for their opening anniversary last week which was a fun switch up. The soup, while expensive, was a good flavor (chicken noodle) and the sourdough bread it came with hit the spot. Will be back for food and drinks very soon!

Yelp
The employees of this location unionized. Mysteriously just days later the location was completely shut down by ownership who claim that there was some kind of embezzlement, encouraging people to go to other locations. If there was serious enough embezzlement to cause a shut down, it would effect all locations, not just one location. An obvious attempt at union busting and EXTREMELY disturbing. I will never do business with ANY of their locations ever again.

Yelp
Stopped by for the first time and ordered the Rox Out with Your Lox Out bagel, Colonel Mustard chicken sandwich, coffee and this special blueberry ade type drink. I forgot but it was pink with some berry syrup! Very refreshing! The food was all good, pretty reasonable prices too. The total was about $25. The coffee and condiment station was really neat. They had a jar for table shims to stop it from wobbling which was very sensible. They even had a bucket to toss extra coffee for creamer. The atmosphere of this cafe is really chill. A/C is bumpin'. Good for studying. Lots of indoor seating. There's wifi and restroom available. Would love to come here again!
google avatar

Yelp
Sleater-Kinney's modern girl right into Neutral Milk Hotel's Two Headed Boy. My college playlist of dreams. Large and inviting interior, lots of space to read a book and enjoy some breakfast or lunch. Veggie delight is huge and delicious!
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
ThIs place is adorable. The decorations are cute and calming. Great place to do work or catch up with friends. They have a large space with plenty of room to sit. Their menu is great - tons of vegetarian and vegan options as well as other things. They serve breakfast and lunch, and also have lots of snacks available (ex. granola bars and vegan baked goods). Their coffee is incredible - I had the gingerbread cookie latte with oat milk and it was AMAZING! I had to wait a while to get it but they were pretty busy. Well worth it! Definitely make a stop here if you're ever in this area!
google avatar

Sumana K.

Yelp
The fact that this cafe is open until 10pm is KEY. It's a large space with plenty of wooden tables and chairs with WiFi. They offer a good number of food options, along with the regular coffee/tea selection. The cucumber/tomato cream cheese bagel is excellent. It's a bit far for me but worth the walk on those days I really need to get some work done in the evenings.
google avatar

Queen M.

Yelp
This place is huge. Tons of seating. I love the energy plants give me so I enjoyed sitting right at the table in front of the big window. Felt like the plants were hugging me (read this as a good thing). Free Wi-Fi was pretty stable. I had the cool as a cucumber which was really good. I'd never thought to put tomato and cucumber on a bagel with cc but it was really good on an everything bagel. I also had an oat milk latte with vanilla. Equally delish. Will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
At good karma very disappointed no lite brew and the medium is very bitter coffee. They have big store which is empty and only out side seating in the street where a stray car can kill you The out side in the back is open but shame can't use inside at all ! restaurants in city are having inside seating I don't understand shame not enjoying my self here last few times I always chose this place but now is on the endangered business list with me. They don't even have sugar out like Wawa does. Its really sad with this place now.
google avatar

Katie ..

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch before going to the Magic Gardens. There were seats in the front and a water dish for dogs. I was able to run inside and place an order with my dog with me before heading to the back patio area. A very cute space, inside and out! The staff was accommodating and even had dog biscuits out
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
i haven't had their coffee, but my favorite drink of theirs is the pom-mojito. It's the perfect drink for a hot summer day. the atmosphere is very chill and there's tons of outdoor and indoor seating. great place to catch up with friends, play some board games or even have a date. check it out!
google avatar

Olivia E.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to coffee shops and one of my absolute favorite places! They have a wide selection of drinks as well as food (and great breakfast sandwiches), so there's something for everyone. What I like most about this place is that it is open late (until 10pm) whereas most coffee shops close around 6 or 7, which is too soon after work to get anything done. I also like that it is a large cafe with lots of tables. I have never had an issue finding a place to sit, which is often not the case because cafes in the city are very small. This place has an overall great vibe and it is always full of people studying, having meetings and getting work done. I come here when I need to spread myself out and log in a few hours of work, whether personally or professionally. If you haven't been yet, then what are you waiting for?!
google avatar

Lexie S.

Yelp
I don't know why but I'm just not a fan of this coffee shop. I came here to get coffee and study with my friend, and there are just many other places that I prefer to do this at than here. Yes, there are many tables to do work at among other people who are also doing work, but at don't enjoy the vibes. The front is cute but the back of the shop is dingy. During my visit, the espresso machine was not working (?!) which is kind of crazy for a coffee shop when a lot of their drinks require this machine. So I couldn't get the latte I wanted, I had to stick to an iced coffee which just isn't my favorite drink. I also got "the works" salad which has chicken and bacon on it. The salad was good overall in my opinion. Probably wouldn't return as I have other coffee shops that I prefer over this one.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Adorable homey space with abundant seating (indoor and outdoor!) Great for studying. Coffee is good and there are many creative flavors.

K K.

Yelp
Would not recommend. The coffee was decent but they served me severely burnt avocado toast that was inedible. I was also using the sriracha and an employee came back to take it away from me as I was still using it at my table, saying that it's for sharing. I would get if someone needed it at the time, but that wasn't the case. There was no one else eating in the whole restaurant so it was just rude. Good thing my meal was inedible so I didn't actually need the sriracha.
google avatar

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Local business. Good coffee and tea. Filling breakfast and lunch food options. Seasonal menus items. Bagel of the month. Space to work. Outdoor area. Local art on the walls for sale. Online ordering and pickup available. What's not to love??
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Best coffee ever! Elijah was behind the counter, and he was so nice. He immediately recognized us from yesterday. The vibes here were awesome. So pretty. The music was perfect for how the shop was set up. I ordered the brown bear, and it was perfect. Just how I like my coffee.
google avatar

Chels C.

Yelp
Aimlessly wandering through the city with this beautiful weather will get you into a world of trouble. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I love the atmosphere they exude. I was surprised by its vastness. The front of the cafe is charming but towards the back (where there's additional seating) it fades. There's even additional seating outside. This place was quite busy. Probably because one of its perks is free WiFi. Tons of studious people, in turn making the place more like a book store than cafe. There were no vibes. Everyone looked cold and frozen in what they were doing. If it wasn't for the music playing, you could hear a pin drop. One of the oddest things you'll find here is posted rules. On the other hand you'll find a suggestion box and no matter the feedback they would like to hear your thoughts. As for their drinks. I ordered a tea. Sadly nothing special and nothing they produce. It was a Vanilla Bean Blend by Mighty Leaf. If anything, the tea had more of a scent than a taste. You can order any sized tea and the price is fixed. They also offer free Lemon-Cucumber infused water, which was cold and delicious. I'm sure I'll find myself in the area for one reason or another.
google avatar

Kayla H.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite coffee shops to study at in center city and one of the only ones with a private patio open for use during covid! It's still outdoors but fenced in so you can focus in a quiet environment. Also, the lox bagel is AMAZING and the coffee is good. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Teri D.

Yelp
Great coffee. My husband and I stopped by to get coffee and a light breakfast before taking an Uber to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We loved the vibe of this shop! We stood in a short line and then ordered our coffee and food. We easily found a table and then enjoyed. This was a funky place to visit while we were in town with tasty coffee.
google avatar

Joanna K.

Yelp
Cute and spacious coffee shop but INAPPROPRIATELY LOUD for a space intended for relaxation and working individuals. The music is ALWAYS unnecessarily playing too intensely and does not give a freaking break. I have given this coffee shop so many chances because I love its location and its menu BUT I URGE management to consider putting signs up prohibiting disruptive noise from customers as well as considering putting the music down to a RESPECTABLE volume. It's really quite a shame and I'm sure other patrons have felt the same way. Please and thank you.

Yelp
I'm surprised I never did a review for Good Karma cafe though I've visited several times and never had a horrible experience. Good Karma Cafe is a beautiful cafe located on 10th and Pine, the perfect spot for people watching either outside where they have cute iron tablets or inside which is insanely spacious for a coffee/tea shop. The decors are stunning with plants hanging around and it's also eco friendly with recyclable cups and Earth conscious straws. The food and coffee/tea board has a variety to choose from, even for its pickiest customer and a barista is always at the front to greet you, even giving you their recommendations if asked. I purchased a large soy chai latte with a honey/cinnamon twist to it and it was lovely! It does tend to get full and busy so if you're looking to settle down, please make sure to purchase a few drinks to support this independent business and not simply order one drink and take advantage of this beautiful environment.

Jessie S.

Yelp
I love good karma cafe! It's one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in the Washington square area. Unfortunately I am not able to give them 5 stars due to the rudest barista working there. One time I overheard her making extremely rude comments about her boss and that she had quit and was upset that she had to work a day after her 2 weeks notice. Well I guess I felt her wrath today and was humiliated by her in the coffee shop when I went to get my to go order and forgot my mask. She was condescending, and just damn bitter and mean. Anyways, I recommend this coffee shop but avoid the mean blonde barista if you go within this week or next!
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
After brunch and a stroll through the farmers market, we decided to pop in for coffee and conversation. There was a ton of space to sit outside on the sidewalk, inside, or in the cozy back patio. We loved the plethora of inventive (and yummy) drink options and ultimately chose a few of their lattes. I highly recommend the brown bear latte which came with a mocha and caramel drizzle! Perfect for chocolate lovers! It's a wonder that, after visiting the Walnut location for years, I've never made it to their second cafe. Better late than never, I suppose!

Neesie G.

Yelp
I just had an exceptional experience at Good Karma. As a QWOC, in an era where black people can be arrested in Starbucks for sitting, I am painfully aware that not all cafes are created equal. This morning I was in need of a centrally located cafe where I could have a delicious breakfast and spend a few hours working. I found that and more at Good Karma. From the moment I walked in until I left 2 hours later, I felt safe and attended to in Good Karma. I ordered a Lavender Latte and Rox Out with your Lox Out on an everything bagel. The cashier greeted me when I entered and offered to answer any questions. After I ordered, the cashier was thoughtful enough to ask me if I had a milk preference. I'd completely forgotten to specify that I wanted Almond Milk and really appreciated that the cashier didn't assume. My food came out quickly and it was absolutely delicious. (Just as an aside, where else are you going to get an organic free-trade Lavender Latte with Almond Milk at no extra charge!) I worked for two hours on my laptop without being interrupted by pushy staff or objectifying patrons. The customers I interacted with were pleasant, kind, and warm. There is just Good Energy in Good Karma. And that's rare. Thank you for making my day, Good Karma. You all are awesome.
google avatar

K K.

Yelp
This is my favorite Good Karma location. This is the BEST cafe to do work at that I have found in the city. It is pretty quiet and there is tons and tons of seating and outlets. You can literally come here and work for hours without feeling guilty for hogging a table - which I adore when I need to get out of the house and office to do work somewhere different. The food is really fresh, I am a fan of the happy buddha bagel sandwich with hummus and veg - do yourself a favor and add cucumber. The coffee on the other hand is not my favorite, hence the 4 stars. I like that they have seasonal rotating specials, but I have gotten a few before which were not so tasty. The cherry blossom special in the spring had me coming back for weeks, so if you like Cherry at all I highly recommend it. The almond milk here has a strong taste that messes with most flavorings, so I would suggest getting regular milk if you can have dairy.
google avatar

Benjamin M.

Yelp
Good Karma is great! They call it Good Karma because you get good karma for going there. Everything is organic and locally sourced and they are very careful to recycle as much as possible. Besides all of that the food is pretty good. My girlfriend recommends the Apple Of My Eye bagel sandwich. It has cream cheese apples and honey and makes for a delicious snack. Lots of space and outlets too.
google avatar

Abraham K.

Yelp
They take credit card with no limit. Cool spot to hang out. Different vibes than the other one at Fitler Square. Much larger, tons of seating, and a few outlets around the room. Tends to run a little more loud than other shops, but good spot to get work done. Small selection of sandwiches and good fair trade coffee.

Bridget C.

Yelp
It used to be my go to place to study but it's now randomly closer without any warning, and when it's open the music is always blasting and people practically have to yell over each other to speak. Way too distracting to actually study in
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Gray place to stop in for a nice cool iced coffee on Antiques Roadshow celebrating birthday July great space great coffee great service
google avatar

Silver G.

Yelp
Delicious !! Reprieve from coffee shops galore. This is the ultimate relaxing joint! Good vibe and great tunes, staff, atmosphere. Snacks and beverages are perfect

Moses K.

Yelp
Nice place to get some work done. A good number of tables and outlets are available but note that some people tend to stay there all day. Bathrooms were really clean (great job staff!). They also play some interesting music, which can get a bit loud FYI. Most people are there to do work; Wi-Fi is good. Overall, would come here again. For those that stay there all day, try to get a little something every hour or so as a courtesy since you're taking up space.

Yelp
This bistro was not too far from our Airbnb. It was literally up the street, you walk in and I love the Decour. I had a simple coffee and a sandwich for breakfast. It was made very quickly, we went out back and sat in the little garden. The area in the back as an extension of the art exhibit that's around the corner. But you can check out as well so it's nice to see that that one art exhibit spreads out to the city. They were gracious enough to let me bring my dog through the restaurant. And into the back garden, she did make note to say that normally they don't allow dogs in the restaurant but I was extremely pleased that they would let me pass and have them out back with us. So I greatly appreciate that consideration towards their patrons
google avatar

Kris L.

Yelp
A seemingly small cafe, but when the weather is nice there is outdoor seating out front and in the back too! The menu is decent and I'm not an avid coffee drinker but their teas were excellent. Not too many cold decaf options but tons of hot ones. This place has free wireless and is basically a study hall / meeting location, with laptops galore! Helpful friendly employees. The food options are simple but the chicken sandwich is pretty tasty!
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
Almost couldn't find this place (was on the wrong side of the street) but the Yelp pics of the yellow storefront helped! This place is pretty big for a café.. lots of tables and chairs in the back. I stopped in to kill time before an event but it looks like even around 9am on a Saturday, a lot of ppl were silently working on their laptops. I definitely would come back to try and study here too! The prices are pretty comparable to Starbucks (a latte ~$5). But almond/soy milks don't cost extra. And they have lots of baked good options! Vegan cookies! They have a coffee bean dispensary too. Place is cash only ($1.75 surcharge). Pretty hipster ish place (which I love! But slightly felt judged for not being hipster and coming in ). But I was greeted with a friendly smile so what else could I ask for?
