Good Stuff - Hermosa Beach

Good Stuff in Hermosa Beach is absolutely incredible. We came with the whole family — kids, grandma, my wife, and her sister — and had one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. Our waiter, Beto, was outstanding: attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly. He made sure everything went smoothly and accommodated my sister-in-law’s celiac/gluten allergy with no issues at all. The food was unbelievable — fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. On top of that, the location can’t be beat. Eating breakfast while watching volleyball games just a few feet away is such a one-of-a-kind experience. The views, the vibe, the service, and the food all came together to make this a perfect morning. Hands down the best breakfast in the area. We’ll definitely be back!

I've been wanting to try Good Stuff because it's such a popular spot in Hermosa, and while the experience was okay overall, it didn't really wow me. The service was definitely the highlight, our server was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly even though it was busy. The food, on the other hand, just didn't stand out. I ordered buttermilk pancakes expecting them to be fluffy and fresh, but they came out dry and overcooked, which made them tough to enjoy. My brother ordered a burrito which was dry on the inside with no salsa on the side. The rest of the meal was fine but pretty basic... nothing that made me feel like this was a "must visit" breakfast place. It felt more like standard diner food than something special you'd go out of your way for at the beach. The location is great and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, so I can see why people like coming here. But based on my visit, I'd say it's more of a convenient neighborhood spot than somewhere I'd rave about. One thing that was super frustrating while eating is that there is a lot of flies in the area. They provide bug spray which is funny and convenient but nobody wants flies on their food. Good service, but the food could definitely use some improvement.

This is out first time t the hermosa beach location & it was so nice your right infront the of the beach! the food was great (get the buttermilk pancakes so good!!) BEKA was our server and she was the sweetest & very attentive. We will definitely be coming back :)

Perfect little cozy place on the beach for our first breakfast on our quick LA trip all the way from Alabama. Our server Beto was phenomenal, very helpful and knowledgeable. He noticed the sun on our backs and moved an umbrella behind us without being asked. The food was amazing, we had the making me Greek omelette with the peanut butter banana muffins and buttery hash browns as well as an order of French toast. We will definitely be back next trip!

Transplant from Texas, only been out here a month. First time eating here, but I always walked by it going to the beach. Also never took myself out to eat alone. BETO my server, was attentive, but also made the experience very comfortable. The weather was overcast but the environment was still warm and after my meal here, I’m gonna lay out on the sand. Food was so good I forgot to take a picture when it arrived.

It was our last day in Cali and we met up with family for brunch. A smaller group of 9 total. We originally wanted to brunch at Martha’s in Hermosa Beach which is a fave spot when we’re in town. Unfortunately, brunch time is super busy and Martha’s had a 1 hour wait. My sister-in-law mentioned Good Stuff Restaurant as another option and they only had a 30 minute wait for our group of 9 people. So we shifted over there and waited patiently. We met them there and put our name on the list. They had an abundance of seating indoors and outdoors. Very spacious and great location next to Hermosa Beach and the boardwalk. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting an hour until they were able to seat us. They sat us inside and we didn’t get to sit together either. We put the kids at one table and we sat at the other table with the baby. Our server Tadeo was nice and took good care of the kids table too. My in-laws ordered guava mimosas and my husband and I opted for just coffee. We are done drinking. Haha. I ordered the “Good Stuff Style” Huevos Rancheros. It was just ok. It had good ingredients and I liked that it was a bit healthier with the shredded cabbage but this dish lacked flavor and it didn’t look anything like the website photo. I also didn’t get any avocados. I asked for hot sauce and it was fine, but hot sauce shouldn’t mask the flavor of food. Husband got Teriyaki Steak Breakfast Bowl but as soon as we saw the plate, you could tell the steak was dry and overcooked. He said it was meh. Aside from the cool ambiance and great location, Good Stuff wasn’t worth it. And definitely not worth waiting an hour. My husband also paid for brunch since it was his sister’s family and the bill was a whopping $225 for 4 adults and 4 kids. The baby doesn’t count. Granted there were a few mimosas flowing. Even so, it was pricey for everything. Sorry Good Stuff but it wasn’t that good. With a name like that, you’d think they would uphold the name!

I have high standards when it comes to eating out because I very much enjoy just cooking for myself.. so believe me when I say I was very pleased with my experience here The flavours and textures were all delicious and very satisfying. The servers (I believe ours was named Annie? With the henna freckles) was super duper kind, with the most genuine smile. On top of all of this, the fact that this place fries their food with coconut oil??? The absolute cherry on top. If I lived in the area I would eat here alll the dang time.

Had a lovely breakfast here with my colleagues at Hermosa Beach. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we felt truly welcomed. A special shoutout to Beto for making the experience even better – friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend this spot!

Food is great! The pancakes are my favorite but I tried the quesadilla this time and it was so good. Also the service was great. It was packed and we still only waited 5 mins. Leon was our server and he was awesome!

We're visiting from out of town and stopped at The Good Stuff for breakfast--such a great choice! Our server, Kelly, was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. The food was absolutely delicious; everyone in our group cleaned their plates (even the kids, which is rare!). We asked to sit inside and were seated by a window with a beautiful view of the beach, which made the meal even better. Highly recommend, and we're already looking forward to coming back! when our daughter accidentally left her phone behind, Kelly came and found us right away to return it. That extra thoughtfulness meant so much.

It's a beautiful location right on the strand. Even if you have to wait, you can walk around or enjoy the ocean. I get my usual Ortega tuna melt. It was good but I felt like the PV location made it better :P Service is friendly. Dog allowed on the patio. However, lots of bugs so guard your food and drinks!

Great view! Had a terrific cheeseburger and sweet potatoe fries. My friend had Carne Asada with eggs and it was great too! The view is spectacular! Go try it out! Worth it for the view and relaxation. The staff was excellent so friendly!

Great place to come by to grab a sidewalk breakfast and read a book. Great service and tasty food.

This was the perfect topping to our morning walk on the beach, sandwiched between a visit back to the beach to see the sea lions released (after Marine Mammal Care Center rehabilitated them). For anything you're doing on the beach, this is a great place to stop and refuel. Antonio was a splendid server. Great breakfast! Great laid-back beach atmosphere!

Highly recommend for Breakfast!!! My hubby and I stopped by on our bike ride and are so grateful we did! We started off with mango juice and a Good Stuff shake...delicious We had a Belgium waffle with strawberries and eggs with hashbrowns...yummy! 5 stars for Beto, our amazing server. He is very happy, welcoming and knowledgeable! On top of everything at our table. Thank you Good Stuff

Such a cute restaurant by the beach!! It was so relaxing and the service was amazing I ordered the teriyaki steak breakfast bowl and it was so delicious. I was hungry so I wanted something filling but I didn't want breakfast. The teriyaki sauce is a bit on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. The pineapples were a great addition and the steak was not overly cooked. I love how they give you a choice of toast or muffins. I usually never see muffins being an option so definitely had to choose that one. The blueberry muffins were super soft and moist, even more delicious when you add the butter!! The cinnamon roll at first glance looked a little disappointing and I wasn't expecting to like it or taste any cinnamon but wow was I pleasantly surprised! Super fluffy and the flavor was definitely there Also ordered a mango smoothie and that hit the spot. I am so happy I decided to stop here during my layover and it was more than worth it!!

Had a weekend special Chicho's Omelette- shredded beef, cheese, and guacamole on top with perfectly crispy hash browns. Yum! My hubby had the chorizo chilaquiles also delicious. Beka was our server and she did an excellent job! We ordered another chicho's omelette to take home to our son.

When we got there they had tables open but they weren't seating anyone because the kitchen is overbooked but we had to ask if we could just sit down and have coffee. But the. They immediately let us order so I don't understand why we waited so long and weren't being seated. My daughter liked her acai bowl. I had chicken and French toast the chicken was overcooked and very small pieces. The French toast was less than I would have expected for the price but it was good. For the price it was overall just eh.

Always good food and friendly service. Nice view of the beach. I got here before 10am to get around parking. This is always a special trip for a special restaurant. TY Gabi.

Food was awesome. Location is in the front of the beach. Our server, Kelly was friendly and the food came out fast. It's a dog friendly restaurant and they have a dog menu also.

Kelly is the BOMB waitress and hooked us up with killer breakfast at 12:30. One of the 15 tables with umbrellas would be great on a Sunny Sunday but don't overlook the beachfront tables inside. There's a nice breeze coming through the giant open window frames. You can see the Ocean from these seats too!

We went here for breakfast as a group of 4. They were really quick serving us! We sat outside because it was a pretty day but they also have umbrellas if the sun gets too much. I got the carnitas taco and my boyfriend got the wrap. We wouldn't say it was mind blowing, but it was good for us to be content. We did like the banana bread that they served at first - it was nice and warm!

Plenty of parking. Right in the strand. Close to pier. Bathroom clean. Coffee tasty. Dog friendly. Dog menu. Friendly staff. Great menu!! Very California-centric. They also serve beer and wine. Now grills using ONLY coconut oil. I ordered Cris's Breakfast Salad which has always been a favorite. But, if I'm being honest - I have never eaten anything here that I did not fully enjoy. EVER! I used to come here years ago for many years! In '85 - yes

Good stuff is one of the few breakfast spots on the strand at Hermosa Beach, so it definitely gets busy on weekends for brunch. We came on a rainy day so it less crowded than usual, which was nice. The California omelette was perfect, I will definitely be ordering it again. I appreciate that I could get pancakes as my side for my omelette! The highlight for me was that my pancakes came with real maple syrup. The portions for most plates aren't huge but they leave you satisfied. The Bloody Mary was too sweet for me and the coffee was just alright. Our server Kelly was sure to give me lots of refills and made sure we had what we needed.

Always my go to with my wife after riding bikes or just great breakfast by the beach - nothing compares to being 6 feet away from the sand. Always a win great protein breakfast selection for people looking for heavy protein intake

Beto our server was great! He took good care of our group - advised us to enjoy a bottle instead for mimosas, we'll save more. He stopped by our table to see how our food was tasting, food came out timely / it was a fun visit! We stopped by on a weekday - shorter wait time on tables. Nice outdoor seating specially on a sunny day! The Blackened Shrimp Fajita salad here is sooo delicious!

I had an awesome experience at The Good Stuff on the Strand in Hermosa Beach, thanks in large part to Demetrio! From the moment I sat down, he was super attentive and genuinely friendly--one of those people who makes you feel welcomed right away. I wasn't sure what to get, but Demetrio recommended the fish tacos, and wow--he did not miss. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can tell he knows the menu well and actually cares about helping guests have a great meal. If you're stopping by The Good Stuff, definitely ask for Demetrio. He made my visit even better. Great service, great vibe, and great tacos!

Great place to eat after being in the Midwest especially when missing the beach and good food by the beach. Beto was an amazing server!

I've lived in South Bay for so many years and had never eaten here. Might seem little unassuming and basic on the outside but the food itself GOOD, service is GOOD, view/location/vibes are GOOD. We got the chicken wrap, m&m waffle, and cinnamon french toast. The only thing not GOOD at GOOD STUFF was our sever Beto. He was GREAT!! We hope he is our server again when we come back. Thank you Beto!!

Went here with my wife and it was amazing. My wife is a very picky eater and she ate everything that was on her plate. French toast, and avocado toast and some other things. Service was friendly also. Inside was very nice and feels like your by the beach.

Great spot right on the strand in Hermosa Beach. Wonderful menu, had a great scramble with eggs, ham, sausage, bacon and a side of rye. My wife had avocado toast with fresh fruit. Both delicious. Our server Beto was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to fill water and coffee. Great view of the activity on the strand and beach.

Fun spot in the heart of Hermosa beach right on the beach. After riding our bikes from redondo beach to Venice we stopped here on the way back. We got there just as they were about to close, but the server was so kind and stayed open for us so we could grab a bite. Turkey wrap and chips and salsa hit the spot! Definitely will stop bye again when down on the strand in Hermosa Beach.

Good vibes, location, and food. Food: I've been here a few times, but I've never been disappointed with the food here. Everything's always been great, especially in relation to the price. This time, I tried the whole wheat pancakes for the 1st time and I was definitely glad that I did. It wasn't your usual whole wheat grainy, bland pancake. It was moist and somewhat fluffy and the pure maple syrup taste complimented well! Service: The service here is always a 5/10. It's ok service, but usually slow and not as friendly as other beach side restaurants. There's also usually a long wait on weekend breakfast/brunch time, so you'll end up waiting anywhere from 20min to an hour. Atmosphere: Great location, as it is right on the strand with a beach view. There's both outdoor and indoor seating (indoor seating is spacious and more quiet than the outdoor seating). Between tables are spacious so you don't feel too crowded either!! This is definitely a go-to breakfast/brunch spot for me in the area. Definitely check it out if you're in the area and looking for an American / Mexican type of food!

You come for the views and vibes stay for the food and service. The food is always great. Fun twists on common staples. I've had varying levels of service here but if Beto is working he will take amazing care of you. He may be one of the best servers I've ever had and I worked in the industry for 20 years. Food is good, I always go for breakfast. It's my family and I favorite spot and service is always excellent, love that it's right by the beach.

Not only was the food amazing, Beto was the absolute best!! Super attentive and made sure that we got everything we needed and more. HIGHLY recommend the California Quesadilla and the cinnamon roll French toast.

We love this place, whenever we're in town we grab brunch here. It's a great spot, right next to the beach which bodes great for ocean views. The service was excellent with kind and quick staff! I got the French toast and my friends got the breakfast wrap. The toast was the perfect sweet plate paired with some savory bacon and eggs. Would've been amazing with some toast as well. More bacon and toast with the eggs would've been perfect!

Amazing fresh fruit and a very yummy avocado toast! Our server Tortuga was so nice. I will be back for sure:) The wait at 12 was only like 20 minutes!

I love Good stuff, I've said before and I'll say it again! Today I just had an absolutely amazing experience, service was like no other! Beto went above and beyond, I have not had service like that in a while! My husband and I had our usual, Chases fried chicken wrap and whole wheat pancakes. Kids had cheesy eggs and our food was very good as usual! Enjoyed the view and surrounded my kind people!

Always, so good! The best breakfast in town, regardless of which one you're at. Kelly provided excellent above and beyond service. The setting right next to the beach is so relaxing at this particular location. To see the ocean, the most beautiful beach in the Southbay makes it all the best.

I just had such a wonderful experience at Good Stuff and had to share! The food was absolutely fantastic fresh, flavorful, and just the right portions. You can really taste the quality in every bite. What truly made our visit exceptional, though, was our server Hugo. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. His energy was warm and genuine, and he had great recommendations that made our meal even better. If you're thinking about trying Good Stuff. do it! And if you get Hugo as your server, you're in for a great experience. We'll definitely be back! And the ambience is perfect being right next to the beach

This restaurant is right on the Strand in Hermosa Beach. Stopped here for breakfast. Ordered pancakes, omelet and eggs with sausage. The food was good, the staff was friendly, but took a very long time to get our food. Lots of outdoor picnic style table seating with umbrellas are available.

Beautiful spot with an amazing beach view! The food was delicious and the service was great. Our server, Antonio, was so friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!
