Really cute place that looks like there’s only a couple of seats out the front but actually has a second floor with a spacious dining room. It’s a lovely old building with lots of brickwork and interesting stained glass windows to look at. The menu is small, but everything is very well considered.
We started off with coffee and Portuguese tarts. The tarts were lovely and crispy and the custard was very rich and fulfilling. The coffee was great too.
We ordered the chorizo and beans, and the cibur eggs. Both dishes were large and generously portioned, flavouring, and fulfilling. There was good use of acid, salt, texture and brightness.
The service was a little slow, but they were quite busy. So that is understandable.
Whomever is the pastry chef there is doing a great job!
