Goode & Fresh Pizza Bakery

I had been wanting to try this place for a while. Take and bake pizza is pretty cool. It came with a paper "pan" to bake it on. Turned out good and the toppings were great. Definitely would go back and try a different pizza.

We hadn't gotten Goode and Fresh pizza in many years -- for no particular reason -- but we picked-up pizza from there tonight and it was delicious! The crust was perfect, and the sauce, cheese and toppings tasted very fresh and weren't at all chintzy, unlike other places. My family is in agreement this was the best pizza we've had from any local restaurant.

Sooo good! Fast and friendly service. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Even the cookies are great!

Edit, October 2025: this is my new go-to for lunch. The food is fresh, the service good, and the portions incomparable. I finally stopped in after driving by 100+ xs the last few years, because I saw on Facebook that it’s both locally owned and family owned. Got a slice and bbq wings and I both were SO GOOD & service exceptionally friendly. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying more food.

Stopped by today for lunch for the first time at Goode and Fresh Pizza Bakery and I am glad I did. Great customer service and very friendly staff. I had a calzone with pepperoni and garlic and it was very delicious. I will be back for sure and i m looking forward to order their pizzas.

Too tired to cook so stopped in to place an order for their delicious ribs. Thank you for another quality meal. We live 25 minutes away - don’t know how you do it but every times it’s still hot upon arrival and simply the most enjoyable meal. 🙌 Still voting you for some of the best ribs around! I really hate to do this, I really love this place and the food they offer it's just amazing,, I called for take out, person who took my order was very friendly we even cracked a couple of laughs, but when I got there for pick up I walked in the door that was few people behind the counter and I recognize the person who took my order and we fist bump I thank him for being very friendly on the phone with me (and I greet everyone with hi how's everyone doing ) in the meantime I'm giving my phone number to the cashier which was the lady with the long hair ( phone number because I was never asked my name) And she asked me very rudely "I ask your name" I stood back a little bit confused because I was never asked my name over the phone in first place,, and I gave her my last name she still couldn't figure it out then one of the guys who was standing around he pointed something on the screen to let her know to locate the order on the screen,, Of course I paid and it's no thank you there's no thank you for coming there's no see you next time,, I still drop 20 in the tip jar, not because of her because of the person who took my order,, Smile goes long way,, I will repeat again smile goes long way,, You just lost a customer

This family-owned and run take-out restaurant never fails to impress and is our family's go-to for top notch deep dish pizza. We won't order anywhere else in the Chicagoland area for deep dish as nothing compares even remotely when it comes to flavor, quality, and very fair pricing. We've been eating from Piazza Bakery since they opened. They have the best stuffed pizza - there's tons of cheese in it! Their thin crust pizza is crispy and has just the right amount of toppings. Their beef sandwich is super. We've never been disappointed when we order from them.

Best stuffed pizza in Chicago. This place has been in Glenview since 1982, I started going in 1987 and have moved away for about 30 yrs and have moved back into town and the food has still remained awesome. The staff are the OG and they make the best pizza sauce I've ever had. I would probably eat a shoe if it had this sauce on it ...the sauce and the cheese and fillings makes this pizza place one of my crave-able places. You are not going to get stuff pizza like this anywhere else in the city of Chicago. It is a hidden gem in Glenview, go discover it, they won't disappoint.

If you live anywhere near this great eatery, it's a must stop for a delicious meal! It was our go to place always when we lived in Glenview. Pizzas, sandwiches, everything! When I hosted the kids sports teams - Pizza Bakery was our #1 choice! We moved several years ago but after visiting our daughter near Niles, decided to grab carry out to take home 30 minutes north. We chose the hot vegetable sub, American sub and a half slab ribs for the next day meal. Once home everything was still perfectly warm the way it was wrapped. Heaven! Exactly as we remembered! The sandwiches are delicious and nothing stingey about the serving. After smelling the ribs, we had to try at least one. Still hot, slathered in sauce and tender. Hands down my favorite ribs on the north shore. Definitely ordering those again for gatherings! Do yourself a favor and- stop in, make this your new fav carry out for the days you don't want to cook. You will not be sorry!

My favorite pizza place! I grew up eating from the pizza bakery, and now when I visit my parents I make sure one of the meals we get is from here. We usually get the thin crust pizzas. They are not stingy with their toppings. The salads are really good as well with multiple options of dressings. Also have had the broasted chicken. The menu is extensive so if you're not into pizza there are other options. If you're in the area, definitely check it out!

Wings calzones and anything chicken. The pizza is meh for most but the others are better than anything else that's close by. Services is hit or miss so bear with them.

My husband and I ordered from here tonight for the first time since moving to the suburbs. He is celiac and absolutely loved the gluten free pizza! We will definitely be coming back!

I have a gluten allergy and have been ordering pizza for years. Soooo good! Their salad is also very fresh. It's a much better crust than what the chains offer. And haven't gotten sick. I wish they had gluten free bread for subs or gluten free fried chicken, the rest of their food looks great.

I've been eating Goode & Fresh for over 20 years. My work orders from them and over the years I've eaten a football field of Goode & Fresh pizza. Everything they do is high quality. Mostly I've eaten the pizza!! The giant rectangle party pizza is amazing but 2 slices will keep you stuffed for quite a while. And who can eat 2 slices? Thin crust is great, and the slices at lunch are all perfect. I like the fact their pizza is not exceptionally greasy! I've had the chicken as well and that was great. Goode & Fresh have great food so get some!

Was looking for an gluten free pizza place for a friend and ended up finding a good option here with Goode & Fresh Pizza bakery. I also ordered a stuffed pineapple (fruit on pizza is good!) and ham for my family. I had no issues with placing an order ahead of time online. The food was ready at the time expected. They state on their website that they don't cut stuffed pizza, but they were very kind to offer to assist me with cutting the pizza at pickup even though they had a good amount of traffic going in and out. There's a few small side tables where you can dine in but but I see this more as a carry out place. A nice bonus was that they also stock The Elegant Farmer frozen pies (these are amazing!) so now we don't have to randomly be lucky with finding them at a local grocery store, or having to to go all the way to Wisconsin. There also appears to have a lot of regular specials. The stuffed pizza was pretty good overall as it had more of a sweet savory sauce, and softer crust.

Always good pizza. I am not a fan of deep dish pizza so Goode and Fresh makes an excellent thin crust and extra thin crust pizza. Sam, the delivery guy, is the best. They also make really good fries, ribs and roasted chicken. I am just partial to their pizza.

We have driven past several times and decided to give it a try. Food was delicious and quick service!

So my first experience with the food was an employee appreciation week . We were treated to pizza from this restaurant. We had the pan style , they had veggie , cheese, sausage and pepperoni choices. I tried the veggie and the cheese. Omg so delicious! So I decided to order my own with a salad . I ordered the pan in a small, with Alfredo sauce and garlic butter. With ricotta cheese, mushrooms and onions. When I arrived they knew what my order was and the nice employee also have me the discount for the loyalty program. So nice to save a few bucks. My pizza was the best takeout pizza I have had in a long time. It was perfect for leftovers, I had two days of lunches , and my salad was perfect for two days of leftovers as well . I had the chopped salad with a citrus dressing, so good. I definitely want to order the next size up for more leftover lunches . So definitely give them a try.

Their fried chicken with accompanying green sauce or hot sauce are so good. Crispy skin, consistent juicy meat, and that green ranch-like sauce is not too tangy. The hot sauce is just right for me too. The only thing I wish was a little different was that their thin crust pizza be a little crispier. Everybody there that I interacted with was nice

Lived for many years in Glenview area and use to order large pies from GF. Recently ordered a pan pie and it was the best I've had in years. Keep the good stuff coming.

Always my go to when I am having people over and don't want to cook- they have something for everyone. I like their gluten free garlic butter sauce pizza and chopped salad with the green dressing. My friends have enjoyed the cheeseburgers, fried chicken, tiramisu and cookies. It's super convenient and they have a recurrent customer discount program too. Nice folks and yummy food. I always order delivery.

I would really give this place 3 3/4 stars if I could. I got an Italian beef with cheese, which had a lot of meat on it, but the bread was really thick. French fries we're good as well. Please support them as they are a small business and they have been in business for a very long time.!!!!

I was pretty excited to pickup from here bc it has been a long time since I had their wonderful broasted chicken but when I got it home I was sorely disappointed. The chicken breast was so dry, and the dark meat was a little more moist but damn!! The broasted potatoes were awesome and so was the garlic bread. Even the Cole slaw was pretty decent. I think that I got the chicken that maybe could have been sitting for a while until my order got assembled even though it's cooked to order. Everyone has an off night and I'll be back for sure at some point, but what a let down!! Yelp says that 2 stars now means "could've been better" and from my past visits here this certainly applies.

Goode and Fresh has delicious food. My family and I have tried many items over the years. My favorites are the boasted chicken, always cooked perfectly. We also love their pizza, crispy crust and fresh ingredients. Their food is consistently quality food. I recommend you try them!

I have to confess-- I have a bias towards Goode & Fresh because they are the ONLY place that carries those pies from the Elegant Farmer in Wisconsin. If you don't know about them-- you have been culturally deprived. They are nothing short of a gastronomical orgasm. No fuss-- you take them from the freezer to the oven-- on a cookie sheet-- to catch all of the butter. They bake them in a brown paper bag -- and they taste like one of your ancestors from 100 years ago came back from the dead. The whole house will have a bouquet that will make your neighbors invite themselves over. Then-- about one hour later-- YOU LIE!! And pretend that you slaved for days! I actually give them as gifts-- and everyone is blessing my name. Do you want to be a culinary star without the work-- do not walk-- RUN! You will never regret it.

Goode & Fresh = amazing!. I've ordered different items from the menu and every time it's delish. Always fresh and hot when delivered.. favorite has to be the chicken kabobs with fresh veggies and their BBQ sauce and their pizza. You pick your own sauce on any entree and can taste it's hand made.

Although I grew up in Glenview, I have had food sporadically from here only a few times. Tonight I had one of the best subs. When they say fresh, they mean it!! It was so delicious. They have only a few tables to sit and eat your food warm, right out of the kitchen. The aroma from their pizza ovens was a reminder of my favorite pizza spots of the past. I didn't realize while we were talking up the virtues of our meal, the owner was sitting near by. We then had a wonderful talk with her. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a nice casual meal. Five stars!!!

Recently placed a large catering order. Pizza is always good. Salads have been good too, but noticed recently much more core rather than lettuce leaves. Must save lettuce leaves for sandwiches and use the core for salads. Frugal but not tasty. This last delivery the driver wrote in his own tip - $70! On top of a $20 delivery fee and the original tip this upped our bill $100. Just to drop off pizzas and salads. We know its all family owned/operated. Cut yourself a nice slice of the pie! Very unscrupulous business practice.

I appreciate that they have gluten free pizzas that my kiddos can eat. A good variety of toppings to please most palates. Gluten free pizza can be tricky and the dough was a bit gloopy and undercooked. They put the pizza on a special paper mat so that it is not cross contaminated with regular flour in the oven. I would order from here again in a pinch, but it will not be tops on my list. A 14" pepperoni is $27.50, so also a bit pricey.

Not Goode and not fresh... We are forced to use it for catering by our firm... I call them Goode and Tardy. Goode luck

I put in what I thought was a future order with them today. I ordered online. Big mistake, dont do that. Apparently they have no control over their online ordering system. And no sympathy for customers when it screws up their order. This website fails enough that they have a disclaimer on it. Once you place an order a message comes up that says to check your email for a receipt. Or at least that's what I remember it saying. They tell me it says to check your receipt for accuracy. So I placed a large, expensive order for 30 people for lunch for tomorrow. I double and triple checked the date and time before I hit place order. I saw the message to look for a receipt. I saw the receipt in my email. I did not read the actual receipt. That was my big mistake. The food shows up an hour later. I tell the driver its for tomorrow. He calls the store. I am then told by him that they cannot control online orders and this is what i ordered so there is nothing they can do. Basically my card was already charged so I was paying for the food regardless. I called the store and got a rather rude manager on the line. She told me the disclaimer says to check my receipt. That if it had said for tomorrow her guys would have caught that. There is nothing she can do. That times are hard for everyone (not sure why as a paying customer that is my problem) so she can't just eat a $200 order. I ask, so there is nothing you can do for me? She offered a 30% discount to reorder the same food tomorrow that I am stuck with now. Well good customer service costs nothing. Bad customer service costs repeat customers. Which, now I'm no restaurant manager, but would think repeat customers make hard times better. Just saying. I will never give them my money again!

Through many years of driving past, I never imagined that this nondescript storefront hides some of the area's best broasted chicken. Years ago our office went through a phase where we got their pizza catered fairly frequently, and I wasn't much impressed. So I had mentally crossed them off a vague list. But the chicken is worth going out of your way for. The sides, however, are poor (particularly the flavorless roasted corn), so I recommend skipping the meal combos and just getting a big box of chicken to take home. I ended up flipping through their paper menu, surprised at the variety of food, and discovered that they sell both calzones and pizza by the slice, two of my favorite things. So of course I had to try both. The pizza is made to order, so call ahead or be prepared to wait ten minutes. This slice is unique around here. The dough is very bready and does not follow any common style. There is also a lot of cheese, but overall the whole thing is in balance and tastes really good. The sauce needs a little more seasoning to hold its own against the other two elements. The calzone is pretty good, but somewhat out of balance. It needs thicker crust and less cheese. But the sauce is amazing. Do they use different sauce for the calzone than for the pizza? That would be odd, but it definitely seemed that the calzone sauce was very richly seasoned. The people here are quite friendly. I'm glad that I ran across some chicken reviews which prompted me to stop in a few times. I will definitely be back for both chicken and pizza.

I've been ordering broasted chicken from this place for years. Recently I've noticed especially on orders over 12 pcs their chicken gets overcooked. Disappointing..

We had Goode & Fresh cater a party at our house. The broasted chicken arrived hot and crisp. The delivery guy was helpful. Everyone raved about the chicken. Will definitely cater with them again.

There isn't a dine in area just so you know. The food was amazing. The workers were extremely nice.

Broasted chicken here was very good (4 stars), and everything else we tried (a 12" thin cheese pizza and the chicken sides of pasta salad and roasted corn) was sub-par (2 stars). So the average rating from me is 3 stars. We tried out this carryout-only business with a Local Flavor certificate. The corn was chewy and the pasta salad was swimming in olive oil, and the pizza was pretty ordinary for $11.99. If we were to return, we would order broasted chicken pieces only, which were moist inside, crispy outside, and overall delicious.

I am so freaking shocked at the good reviews for this place. I worked near this restaurant for a few months earlier this year. I tried this place for lunch a couple times as they advertised a pizza by the slice special. HOLY CRAP I STILL THINK ABOUT HOW AWFUL THIS PLACE WAS TO THIS DAY. Honestly guys your taste buds have to be crap at the point of enjoying the burnt toppings, piss poor idea of 'slices' (idk what they do to that dough but it's burnt on the edges like they just cut a slice of dough and not actually cut a slice from a pizza....pro tip guys, sell individual pies at that point...heating up a 'slice' the way you guys do makes for a burnt disgusting slice of pizza) and to add insult to injury the staff sucks. They look like they don't care and they act like they don't care. Clean up your acts in every aspect of the phrase...another pro tip. This place should be happy for the people of Glenview that have crappy tastes for pizza because clearly they are their only clientele

So, every now and then I get a craving for an Italian beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese. I decided to order that and a salad from Pizza Bakery. I've had it before, and I'll say it again, it is so freaking good! Juicy Italian beef on a crispy roll with lots of mozzarella cheese and extra ajus. Couldn't eat the whole thing, so I saved the other half and had it two nights later for dinner and it was even better, if that's possible. Thanks guys for doing such a great job and, every time I call the people are so nice on the phone!

Can't go wrong here. Huge menu and everything is tasty. The spinach herb dressing and dip is addicting. Great local restaurant that cares.

Chris is amazing. We thank you for being OPEN during this time and working so hard to provide at- home pizza kits for our residents at Avidor. The two giant pizzas for Glenview's finest were much appreciated.

Had their broasted chicken, and it was fantastic. Great find. Next time we'll try the pizza and some apps! Also had the meatball sandwich. Excellent meatballs , cheese and sauce. We had the food delivered. Their food was excellent, and held up well with the delivery!

The SheBang pizza is great to share with a big family and friends. It's a hit with the kiddos and adults alike. Their fried chicken is good. Get their standard deals on chicken, otherwise if you try to order odd numbers or select pieces, the up-charges are ridiculous. Green goddess salad is also very foods

I'm a late comer to GF. Not disappointed. The pick up system during these covid times has been flawless. We have delivery -on time. I love the Caesar dressing!!

This place has incredible pizza. Thin, pan, and stuffed. The sandwiches are fantastic, and the crew is so accommodating. Our family loves it!!

Good pizza slices at a good price BUT boy oh boy the workers are not friendly at all. Borderline rude. The woman behind the register just seemed extremely miserable and had horrendous customer service skills. Small business do know that it's the customers both local and afar that helped keep them in business, right? Get your act together before it's too late and you lose your customers

Got a 16" thin pizza with Italian beef, mushrooms, black olives and scallions. It was pretty run of the mill. I've had better and had worse. I felt it was way overpriced for what it was though.

I recently had to start eating Gluten free and while we have been ordering from Goode and Fresh for awhile now, I never realized they had Gluten Free. I have ordered Gluten Free pizzas other places & they were terrible. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was along with the sides we ordered. If you haven't tried this place, do so right away!

The pizza is okay - a strong B-. I like their specials - today's special being $9.99 for a 14-inch pizza. Quick delivery! However, the delivery charge was $5.25 with a sales tax of $1.49 - then comes the tip for the delivery man. So ... disappointing. These charges equaled the cost of the pizza. The delivery charge seemed super pricey to me.

I have been ordering from Pizza Bakery for years and its delicious. I have always had a great experience with the food and the friendly staff. Everytime I have a get together/party I get pizza from here. Love it.

OMG I'm so excited Pizza Bakery is still around I used to order from them the day they opened back in 1983! Even after moving away from Chicago, I'd take stuffed pizzas back home to Steamboat Springs or Los Angeles. I'm hoping to return back to Chicago and know I'll be stopping in within weeks of my arrival! Glad PB is still around....YUM
