谷點咖啡民宿Goodian Coffee,Bed & Breakfast

This is a very cute, cozy bed and breakfast with amazing views of the mountains in Lalashan. As others have mentioned, we were greeted by their adorable corgi Tian Tian. Dinner was delicious and included braised pork with greens, grilled trout, chayote salad, stir fried cabbage, rice, and chicken soup. Breakfast was simple but good, and I enjoyed the chance to try local persimmons. The property is close to the giant trees which we hiked after our stay.

This place is all that we can wish for in a B&B! It was relaxing, serene and peaceful with very friendly hosts and greeted warmly by their 4 dogs. The room has magnificent views of the misty mountains, very clean with a Japanese soaking bath. Great after a long walk to the top of Lalashan. There were shutter buses during the sakura flowers blooming season in February, ran by the local council, up to the rangers' hut, then walk up the top of the mountain.||They served delicious breakfast and dinner catering well to our vegetarian needs. During our visit, the kumquat fruits at the back of the properties were in seasons and the hosts encouraged us to taste them. Were divine!||We soaked in the winter sun sitting outdoor sipping latte and tea while reading our books. Took plenty of beautiful photos.||Highly recommend this place!

Was biking the northern cross and rolled into baling around sundown. So glad i biked the extra 3km up to upper baling to stay here. Dinner and breakfast are included and excellent. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The room is clean and bright and offers mountain views. The bathroom has a Japanese toilet with heated seat, and the tap water is from a potable source. Moreover, this is the first hotel I've stayed at that rewarded you for not using the disposable toiletries. Just excellent.

We stayed here for one night on our drive back to Taipei. The B&B owner is really nice and welcoming. We had an awesome room with a view of the mountains. Great mountain air and a lovely sunrise to wake up to. The best part was the food! The dinner we had here was out of this world. So deliscious and tasty. The pork with cabbage just melted in your mouth.

We're still pretty much in awe of this place. It's family-run, located along the main road, spacious, super clean, beautifully-designed, reasonably-priced and serves sumptuous traditional home-cooked meals (breakfast and dinner). If you're a fan of dogs, the B&B has four!! I think we took way too many photos of Tian Tian, the resident Corgi. Wait - did we mention the AMAZING scenery? We booked a room in the new wing (it was renovated by the owner's son recently), and were greeted by a breathtaking view of the misty mountains. In the evening, the whole place is shrouded in a thick mist.. it feels like you're sleeping among the clouds! For the adventurous, there's a scenic hike through the cypress forest of Lala Shan; it's about a 20 minute drive past the ranger's cabin and finally to the starting point of the forest. The B&B offers a transport service from Taoyuan to the B&B, but I highly recommend renting a car. Do drive safe though - we weren't used to the speeds at which other vehicles were going. And as with most places in Taiwan, be prepared to communicate in Chinese. Sigh, still very much in love with the place. We hope to be back one day...

We had a very nice and relaxing stay at Goodian B&B during our summer holidays in Taiwan. The scenery was breathtaking, the room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy. We also enjoyed the meals there (both breakfast & dinner were really good). All members of staff were very friendly. We highly recommend this place.

The location offers a breathtaking view of the mountain, but that's pretty much all this place has to offer. We were the only customers at the cafe but the staff were cold and disinterested... maybe because we were just having coffee? The latte was bland, the toast and waffles hastily thrown on a plate were average. We very nearly placed an online booking for 3 nights at this b&b and left feeling relieved that we hadn't. Given the price tag, you'll find better options and warmer hospitality in the little town centre a short drive away.

Stayed at this lovely homestay 2 years ago and still watching how other guests are enjoying the stay like we did 2 year back. Excellent views from the room and tasty taiwan dishes served at the open deck are unforgettable experiences we shared.
