A Complete Disaster -- Avoid Goofy's at All Costs
My friends and I recently placed a very large order with Goofy's through a third-party system (likely DoorDash or one they partner with). This was no small order -- it would have brought significant business to Goofy's and fed over 20 people, including children. After waiting over 90 minutes with zero communication, the order was abruptly canceled. No explanation. No courtesy call. Just canceled -- leaving us scrambling late at night to find another restaurant before they closed.
Goofy's is a bar open until midnight. There is no excuse for canceling an order of that size, especially without reaching out. According to the third-party rep I spoke with, the restaurant should have communicated with them directly. They didn't. That's a failure on Goofy's part -- plain and simple.
Worse yet, when I called to ask for a manager, the bartender was not only dismissive but flat-out rude. I politely asked to speak to someone in charge, and she curtly replied, "The owners can't be here 24/7." I made it clear I wasn't asking for an owner -- just a manager -- and her final response was, "Well, I'm a bartender." That kind of customer service is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a town that prides itself on community.
After reading other reviews, it's clear our experience wasn't unique. Reports of dirty fry oil, low-quality food, a poor atmosphere, and consistently rude staff are everywhere. In hindsight, we may have actually dodged a bullet by not eating here -- though it came at the cost of time, stress, and hungry kids.
Bottom line: Goofy's is disorganized, unprofessional, and not worth your time or money. This place is a stain on an otherwise welcoming community. I strongly urge others to take their business elsewhere.
