Disneyland Reopened Mickey's Toontown After a Major Refresh — Here's What It's Like

"Around Goofy’s house are fresh outdoor play spaces laid on soft-fall rubber, including a standout trio of rolly rainbow slides with climbing entry points on both sides; I could easily imagine parents taking a breather on nearby benches while their kids burn energy and make friends." - Chelsee Lowe Chelsee Lowe Chelsee Lowe is a Los Angeles-based writer with an obsession with good eats and interesting stories. Goofy’s Play Yard is an absolute must-visit for families with young kids! The play area is full of fun, interactive elements that keep little ones entertained while giving parents a chance to take a break. Our kids loved climbing, sliding, and exploring every nook and cranny of Goofy’s whimsical backyard. The theming is adorable, with bright colors and playful details that make it feel like you’ve stepped into a cartoon. It’s also a great spot to let kids burn off some energy before hopping back into the rides and attractions. Disneyland did an amazing job making this a safe and engaging space. If you have toddlers or young children, this is the perfect place to let them play and enjoy some Disney magic! Would highly recommend stopping by—Goofy’s Play Yard is pure fun! Perfect for babies and toddlers

This was a great spot for our young kids to run around. My 7 year old really enjoyed it. And it was a good spot for our 1 year old to get a break from the stroller and stretch out. Lots to keep them busy. Grab a snack and relax for a bit. Would be nice to see some more seating spots.

Worth a visit if you have younger kids (upper toddler or primary) A colorful stop and a great place to grab a photo with Goofy.

I always love going to Disneyland! For years I brought my kids, now my granddaughter, but I can't afford it anymore. Their prices have skyrocketed! And the crowds are crazy too! You pay hundreds of dollars and only have time to go on a few rides because of the lines! Their food is awful and you can't bring in your own I'm sorry it's gotten so commercialized, not the happiest place on Earth anymore. Also the parking is also crazy! Not enough spaces and you have to take a shuttle from off site lots, that take up even more of your valuable time and money.

It's a pretty creative house for Goofy (and I think Max hangs out here, too) - but I miss when it was in its original "Bounce House" form back in 1993. Toontown has lost this, the ball pit at Chip & Dales Treehouse, and the Jolly Trolly...I still love Toontown but I miss these other small but wonderful details.

Great little play area. My 2.5-year-old loves it and will spend hours here...and is a nice shaded area to relax and take a break from the crowds
