Gordhan Thal

I love Thali and try out new places in every town of Gujarat when I visit. Even at Ahmedabad been to many places and this place will be on top of the list for me. There was quite a bit of a rush. But we were provided a seat within 10 mins, in-spite of being a large group of 8 people. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. I mean the follow up to make you eat can definitely make you over eat. Must visit place if you are looking for a Thali

Govardhan Thal or Gordhan Thal is a restaurant that serves authentic Gujarati cuisine on authentic Kansa copper plates. Try lifting the empty plate and you will feel its authenticity. Coming to the food, it is unlimited but that doesn’t mean it tastes bad. The taste is amazing and the curries are rich. The battery of waiters will never let your plate or bowl be empty. I recommend having basundi multiple times. Also, do request the finger bowl/hand wash😄. You will be in for a surprise. Parking is not a problem. There is 15-20 minutes of waiting time on weekends for dinner. For a group of 3 or 4 it is quick. But for larger groups, one should expect a waiting time of 15-20 minutes.

Gordhan Thal is among best known places with a traditional Gujarati Thai. The food is tasty and delicious. Service is awesome. Great experience of relishing the Gujarati Thali. It's a different matter that the thali is a calorie bomb! I was here to conduct an experiential Gastronomy Tour for participants of a conference. :)

Good place to eat Gujarati food when in Ahmedabad. The variety of food served is crazy so go fasting. This place is crowded and the service super fast. It gets noisy during rush hours so go early.

It's on the highway road, but connected to service road, good option for veg, I really recommend this in just 425rs. You will enjoy the food and the service My special was anjeer basundi Worth visiting the place and road parking is available.

It was a decent experience. We went on Sunday evening. There was no menu from which we can choose different types of thalis that day, they have a fixed one price at ₹440 We just have to go and sit on the table. The thali is served and it includes - Khaman, Samosa, Papad, Chutneys, Dal Bati. Main Course - Undhiyu, Aloo, paneer, Chole, Jodhpuri Gatta, Dal (sweet), Khichdi, Gujarati Kadhi. (with chaas), Rotli, Puri and Bhakri For desserts - Basundi and Mohan Thaal

Had to experience the Gujju Thali in the most authentic way , and it is here in Gotdhan Thal restaurant. Was packed even though it was 2:30 in the day . Super fast service and stuff is always ready and they make sure u get whenever something in finished in this all you can eat vegetarian meal. It is a very peculiar city as it's the capital of a dry state ( no alcohol ) and also 95% of restaurants serving only vegetarian dishes. It was good fun , though I had to skip the dinner as expected I overate by a mile.

The restaurant has upheld good standards of hygiene, taste and service which leads to a great culinary experience! Traditional Gujarati dishes with roti and small pooris are served at lunch (seems that rotla is served at dinner only). Parking is an issue and waiting time is high due to popularity and heavy rush at lunch time.
