We loved our stay at Ann and Pat's! Their place is so centrally located, walking distance to everything we wanted in Hood River and felt so cozy and homey. We especially loved the breakfasts and hearing all of Ann and Pat's recommendations. They suggested we rent e-bikes and ride down the historic columbia river highway to a vineyard for some wine tasting and it was the perfect activity for us! They were super accommodating with our bikes as well, as we had them overnight. Would 100% stay there again!

Ann and Pat Frodel are excellent hosts. The accommodations in the blue room were very nice and eloquent. The room, bathroom, and house were very clean and up-to-date. Wonderful breakfast! Great cozy place and a very pleasant stay. We will definitely be back!

This charming inn had a separate cottage/room that we enjoyed during our stay in Hood River. The hosts were very nice and offered many good suggestions for meals and activities. We had a great experience while staying in this town near gorgeous waterfalls and scenic views. The cottage was clean and well-decorated plus had air conditioning which was appreciated. The beds were comfortable and linens were nice. We enjoyed our privacy but also joined others for conversation and a great meal at breakfast time. Highly recommend Ann and Pats place if you get a chance.

We had a wonderful stay in the Blue Room. Ann and Pat are amazing hosts and very accommodating. Breakfast is delicious! Our room and bathroom were very clean, and we appreciated not having to share a bathroom. We would highly recommend staying here and we will be back!

Enjoyed my stay at George View while hiking the nearby waterfalls, wish I had stayed longer than one night. The house is in quiet residential area but easy walk to central shopping (i.e. touristy) area. I booked the "blue room" (only two rooms, green and blue) with a nice and serene view of Columbia Gorge and Mt. Adams out my window. More chairs facing the Gorge on front porch to relax in. Hosts were just great: friendly, accommodating, and wealth of local info. Will repeat if back in the area.

We had a wonderful two night stay in the blue room overlooking the river. The house is charming with a lot of thoughtful amenities. It isn't in the middle of downtown but it was a pleasant walk to restaurants and shops. Pat & Ann are very nice and extremely helpful. They gave us so many wonderful recommendations, we'll have to come back to do them all. The bathroom on the second floor is very large and modern. We did share it with another couple staying but there's an additional bathroom with shower to use downstairs if one is busy. It might have been a little crowded if the room with bunk beds had also been full. The breakfasts were delicious and the other guests were interesting. My only concern was the internet was a little slow and we were trying to do some trip planning but it was a minor issue.

Yelp
The Gorge View is a beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast offering spectacular views of Mt. Adams and the Columbia River from its wraparound porch. There are three spacious guest rooms with private baths and shared baths. They have free WIFI Access for all your computing needs. The Gorge View is located only a few blocks away from the center of Hood River, which features some great restaurants and two breweries. The Gorge View offers a Excellent full breakfast which consists of; Dutch Babies, Huevos rancheros, blueberry cakes, french toast, sumptuous omelets, homemade muffins, and fresh fruit. The owners are more than happy to give you recommendations on fun activities to enjoy in and around Hood River, they have especially good advice on wind surfing and kite boarding spots. Including world renowned windsurfing, mountain biking, white water kayaking and rafting, hiking, and fishing. Nearby Mt. Hood offers year-round skiing and snowboarding. Sightseeing and wine tasting are also close by. This is by far my favorite place to stay and play, when I need to get away from the city.

Yelp
I've been staying here since 1985 and it is a great place to stay. The building is an early 20th century Victorian that has been well kept. I usually stay in the Blue Room that has a queen bed and a view of the Columbia River. Wind's blowin' - I'm on my way to the water to windsurf. Pat and Ann are great hosts, full breakfast each morning including as many lattes as you can drink, large hot tub that holds about 10 or more, recommendations for non-wind day activities and restaurants, free and fast wi-fi, walking distance to town.

Yelp
Just completed a two night stay at the Gorge View Bed and Breakfast - and couldn't be more pleased!! The hosts - Ann and Pat - are perhaps the nicest people I've ever met. Friendly, helpful, and instantly welcoming! The locale, house, guest rooms, and breakfasts were all spectacular! They even loaned me some rain gear for a hike, after I had forgotten my coat somewhere along the way. Hood River is a gorgeous town, and the Gorge View is truly within a short walk of fantastic restaurants, breweries, shops, even a cinema (for the inevitable rainy days). Gorge View has my highest recommendation, and I am already looking forward to another visit in the future! Thanks, guys!

Yelp
Lovely building and hosts. Enjoy this 1910 home. We had the blue room with queen bed and view of Hood River. $130 per night plus tax. Shared bath, great breakfast.

Yelp
A very nice Victorian house just blocks from downtown. Very reasonably priced rooms, with a very friendly host. Wonderful breakfast, plus a nice large front deck and hot tub.

Yelp
The Gorge View is the perfect Hood River getaway. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The hosts are very hospitable and helpful. They will give ample information for activities and restaurants in town. Town is within easy walking distance of their beautiful home. When I stayed, all the guests spent a wonderful evening on the porch visiting with the hosts and looking over the beautiful Columbia River. Unfortunately, I had to leave before breakfast time, but Ann very kindly packed me a breakfast to "go." I was sorry to miss breakfast as I'm sure it was wonderful and the conversation with the hosts and other guests would have been lively. I highly recommend this B&B and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I knew this place was special from the moment I found easy street parking and climbed the welcoming staircase. It was the home I'd always dreamed about, well, maybe that's a bit dramatic. I only stayed in the bunkroom - arriving late, up in the dark early morning hours for a sports event, then returning for quiche breakfast. But the 'family' of guests were at table and the hosts were most gracious. Comfortable, for a bunk bed, clean... amplifying every remark already in place here. Best was the sense of belonging (even to the point of having an iPhone charger easily discover able), and the sense of freedom. I wanted to move in permanently!
