Today’s 12:00 tour of Gosford House – highly recommended! Spent the afternoon exploring this stunning neo-classical masterpiece in East Lothian, and it did not disappoint. Our young talented tour guide was brilliant — full of knowledge, engaging, and delivered the tour with real confidence and passion. He really brought the history of the house and the vision of Robert Adam to life. Gosford House is grand, elegant, and overflowing with charm — a must-visit for anyone into architecture, history, or just a bit of stately home escapism!

This place is a dream. Just walking outside it's a treat for the eyes. Let's not mention inside! Oh wow

Partially restored, but lovely private house with a large park area. Only open on set days for limited guided tours. No photography inside permitted. Worth a visit if in the area and it's open.

As wedding photographer in Scotland, I’ve seen my fair share of stunning locations, but Gosford House is in a league of it's own. The two-tier marbled hall is to die for - such an incredible spot for a ceremony! And the vast estate grounds are gorgeous - lots of lush greenery and tranquil lakes. I'd love to return here so if you're looking for a wedding photographer, do get in touch ✨

The house is really beautiful. It was worth visiting. Extremely impressive marble Hall and rest of the house. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures inside. What a shame as many things is very nice and beautiful and it would be quite good thing to admire them in own peace at home.

We got married at the outstanding Gosford House in July, and it was truly a dream come true. The marble hall where we exchanged our vows is absolutely breath-taking, and every room in Gosford House feels like something from a fairytale. Carole, our event manager, was fantastic in the lead-up to the wedding — always welcoming when we visited with our parents and offering invaluable advice to ensure the day ran perfectly. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful or memorable place to say “I do.” Thank you for being such a huge part of our special day!

An interesting tour. Marble hall is beautiful. Shows what life was like in a completely different era. Good to visit if in the area when the limited tours are on.

Absolutely stunning stately home in East Lothian. We came across it by chance, having noticed a sign as we drove past for an open day. We were lucky enough to be able to go on a house tour and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and approachable, encouraging us to ask questions. The interior of the house is breathtaking, especially the marble hall. It houses an extensive collection of art. It's reasonably priced to visit. Highly recommend.

Yelp
A beautiful old country house with historic charm. This gigantic mansion is home to one of the worlds finest art collections. The whole place can be rented for events and is truly worth it. Think Wayne Manor just for your group. We had a bbq reception there and it was just breathtaking to stand on the terrace and watch the sunset, and then going inside to listen to the jazz band playing their tunes.
