Local Slovenian restaurant serving in-house homemade dishes from scratch. Hearty made soups with fresh vegetables, simple, tasty. Dishes change daily, from slow cooked pork shank, to veal, to octopus, all prepared meticulously by hand in their kitchen. The proprietor is a colorful speaker who shares local stories and culinary tips if you chose to dine inside. Several outdoor tables available to eat, right in the heart of the primary walkway in the city centre.

Very tasty local dishes, fresh catch of the day plate, friendly and courteous service, good portions and reasonable prices. Highly recommended! There are some bad reviews here from >1yr ago but the recent experience is nothing like they describe it.

We have been travelling and eating our way through France, Italy and Slovenia the past 2.5 weeks and today was the best meal we have had! The fresh local ingredients in our food were prepared to perfection. We had the calamari, fried sardines, gnocchi in goulash and pasta in goulash. Also for sides we had French fries and mixed salad. For drinks we had the house red and white wines which were delicious. Our server was excellent and helped us choose some of our dishes. Mario(the chef) came out to share with us not only about the food and history of the restaurant but also to assure us there was no need to worry about any pesto in the food as one of us has a severe allergy to it. He was super kind and informative and a pleasure to talk to. I will remember our wonderful experience eating here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Istrian cuisine at a very reasonable price with great service!

Very cute family owned restaurant serving local Slovenian food. Placed in a old traditional building they serve amazing food with the style of not having too many options as the previous owners. But the options that they offer were of outstanding quality. However, best of all is the service and atmosphere!!!

One of the best gourmet experiences ever! We found this gem by accindent while looking for some traditional cuisine restaurant on our way home from Piran. Cool vintage atmosphere, delicious menu. Just the music...the music...I really dont enjoy ordinary radio. Some mid century jazz would make from this place something even more special. But this is just a detail. Totally recommend.

We are absolutely thrilled. The restaurant is located in the middle of the city and is very easy to reach on foot. It is beautifully decorated and you immediately feel at home. The toilets are also clean and decorated with aesthetic pictures and plants. We were served by the owner's daughter in a very detailed, friendly and sensitive manner. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. If you like truffle pasta, seafood or fish, you will love it. I am a vegetarian and although it was not on the menu I got very delicious homemade gnocchi with tomato sauce. Although we did not announce this, I got offered delicous alternatives. The Mixed salad is also delicious. To finish off, we were offered a very tasty homemade apple strudel, which was excellent. All in all, everything was perfect and everyone was full from these perfect meals. If you are in Koper, this restaurant is definitely a recommendation.

A cute little typical tavern from a time that no longer exists. It's rare to get in other places - typical Slovenian dishes are served here. Minestura, jota, ričet, girice, sardines, goulash, polenta ... all with a touch of the coast (Primorska). Good bread, ciabatta with olives ... from the family bakery nearby. And excellent quality Slovenian olive oil. Local red wine rinfuza same very good . And most important served at room temperature. Normal price

Located in a cute street and very friendly staff The food was very good (sea food with pasta + gnocchi and goulash) and muuuch love for the homemade brownie.
