Gostilna Stari Tišler

I stayed 1 night and had dinner here on 15% discount. I had wanted 2 nights but they couldn't check me in for arrival after 9pm. My train arrived 10pm. Nice cosy quiet place. Big comfortable rooms. No lift. Breakfast was small selection but had everything I need including homemade desserts.

We stayed here a few times and I like it. It’s very close to the train station and the city center. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Plus they have a nice restaurant with a variety of traditional Slovenian food.

Absolutely fabulous food. Goulash was amazing. Service from Nina exceptionally good. Faultless presentation. A traditional Slovenian restaurant in the heart of the city. Highly recommended for its authentic cuisine. A superb dining experience

I spent very nice two weeks in Gostlina Stari Tišler - I was absolutely satisfied with the hospitality and kindness of the owner and the staff, I slept perfectly, and I ha enjoyed a lot the delicious breakfast, especially the cakes. I found it also cery positive, that durung weekdays it it possible to have a dinner, that was also very deliciuous.

The Guesthouse Stari Tisler is a few hundred metres from both the train station and the bus station in Ljubljana. Stari Tisler is on the edge of the Old Town and again only a few hundred metres into the touristy town centre. |The rooms are very basic. There is NO fridge or tea coffee facilities in the room. The rooms are air conditioned but the decor is fairly old and has seen better days. The rooms are clean, though old, and I found mine comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. |The breakfast was very European, cold meats, pastries, cheese and cereal - do not expect a resort style buffet - I enjoyed the breakfast. |The restaurant attached to the Guesthouse was very reasonably priced and the quality of the food was very good. The service was good. |Overall a very economical, though basic place to stay.

20€ for fish and chips. Are you serious? Extremely low quality of food. I wouldn't call this "grilled fish", it's obvious that is fried with lots of oil. 🤦‍♂️Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

ordered the recommended Rustic plate ( black puddung, grilled pečenica, pork roast, sauerkraut, roasted slovenian potato) and it was superb. staff was great.

I had a standard room. Room view rather bad (to the wall of a nearby house). Check-out by 11:00. Quiet room, no noise. Friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioning in the room. Rooms on the top floors, no elevator. The room was clean and cleaned every day. A rather modest breakfast. ||The hotel is well located in the center. Parking spaces (expensive and paid) are hard to find near the hotel. If you want to leave your luggage at the hotel before check-in, it is possible that the main door is locked between 11:00 and 13:00.
