Gostilnica 5-6 kg

We went here to sample their pizza as recommended by a local and we’re so glad we did! Both pizzas were good. There’s lots of choice in regards to toppings and the pizzas are served quickly, fresh from the oven. The only negative would be is that we stood at the entrance to the restaurant for several minutes with waiters walking past us and yet not one greeted us. We had made a reservation otherwise we would have just sat at an empty table - there were only one or two. Worth making a reservation.

Lovely place. The pizzas are exceptionally tasty. If you order delivery, expect them to get a bit soggy as is typical of a neapolitan style pizza if delivered. Absolutely fabulous at the location though.

The best food we had in Ljubljana & during our European travels was at this restaurant. We ate here twice, it was that memorable. High quality food, simple ingredients & made exceptionally well. Staff are efficient & friendly. The pizzas are authentic & the crumbed pork cutlet is mouth watering! Good wine pairing as well. Ambience is chilled & relaxed. Make sure you book online in advance.

At the end of a two-week vacation filled with multi-course meals, we wanted just a pizza and a bottle of wine. We ended up at Gostilnica after spending way too much time reading reviews of pizza places all over Ljubljana. Was this the best meal of our vacation across Italy and Slovenia? Possibly. We had the Pizza 5-6KG and it was a revelation. One of the best pizzas I have ever had and I have had pizza all over the world. Great, unexpected flavors and a magnificent crust. But, the star of the show was the suckling pig shank. Falling off the bone with a crunchy, flavorful crust. What a wonderful surprise. I will remember this meal for a long time.

Friday night was busy and the restaurant had a cheerful and romantic ambient - suitable for hanging with friends or a date. Restaurant offers unique pizza options that are really worth exploring.

The food was absolutely good, they do serve very delicious pizzas. The service is very attentive, friendly and helpful. The wine suggestions are available which goes best with your ordered pizza. I did try their special orange wine, which I really liked. The ambience is good, and the sitting arrangement outside is awesome. I did order a vegetarian pizza with the mozzarella ball on the top, and it was just lip smacking. The prices are like those in a good Italian restaurant in Germany, but it is worth the taste you get here.
