Gotham City Comics and Collectibles

I live near this shop and was excited to have a walkable comic book store to visit regularly. This, however, is less of a comic book shop and more of a storage unit for one fan's Batman collection. From what I can tell, they don't order new products, they only sell what they presently have on hand which is 99% Batman related. Disappointing for a customer, but seems just like a fun hobby for the owner. And yes, it does smell like 100 cats live there.

It looks like it was closed permanently. Gates were all down, shop looks abandoned. Hopefully the owners see this and let me know because I have wanted to visit this particular shop for a while, just never made the trip.

Hidden gem in Queens Blvd. Need to really keep an eye out to find it since it is behind a gated area. Went there today to see if they had a particular comic book. When reaching destination the person at the gate said the store is temporarily closed for renovations. This would have been useful info if they kept there Google info up to date so I could have diverted to a different comic shop for my sons surprise! Will come back once renovated to check it out. Please update your hours of operation 😁

Terrible location. A maze of cars from the auto body shop completely blocks the only way to the entrance complete with a vicious dog from the body shop that barks at anything that approaches. Not a welcoming place and certainly not a good way to attract customers.

First the good: Really nice woman working here. Obviously very passionate about her rescue cats (of which there are plenty wandering about the store), and she was very helpful in helping me pick out a comic. Also there is something undeniably charming about a comic store operating out of a garage and junkyard. They were even working on a full size, working Batmobile! So cool. Now the bad: Holy lord this store stunk. The cats have free reign and shed, scratch eat and god-knows-what-else everywhere. It was rough to be in there for more than a couple minutes. I just wanted to buy my book and escape the smell. There's no way those cats don't have fleas, so beware. Overall, I'd say make some huge changes to the store. Get rid of the cats or keep them clean. You may be in a junkyard but that's no excuse for being real gross. There's some really good comics and memorabilia in this store though! I just wish it wasn't located in a litter box.

A poor excuse for a comic book shop. It's a part of some mechanic garage. Very dirty. They don't even have all the latest comics and the store is a mess. The one time I went there was a dog chained inside the garage just barking nonstop at whoever passed by. And the store clerk seemed to be the mother or aunt of the owner, whom seemed to know nothing about comics or pop culture. I was very disappointed. Don't waste your time. I love to support Mom&Pop shops but this one is horrible. I have no idea how they are still in business.

I passed by yesterday to check it out since I love comics. Couldn't stay inside for more then 30sec. The place smelled so bad. It is definitely a cat problem, because it smelled of cat litter, old cat poop and such. Won't go back.

Horrible, horrible place! I stopped by a few days ago after a year and the selection did not change. The shop was full of cats, and smelt of cat urine, and was extremely dirty and cluttered with old broken boxes and garbage bags; I fled as soon as I could, unfortunately being in there made me sick. Definetly not worth the extremely over priced comics. Sadly, I'll be keeping my comic shopping elsewhere, and you all should too!
