We enjoyed our stay at Gothia Towers.|It’s a mammoth hotel complex (3 towers with 25-29 floors each), several restaurants, etc.|For a building this size/tall, the elevators were totally up to the task (5 main and 2 exterior in each tower). A delight after often having to wait forever for overloaded infrastructure in other places.|The mini bar was fully stocked, including snacks etc.|Staff was super-friendly.|Parking (we arrived by car) was very well documented by the hotel front desk - however it’s in an adjacent garage building, connected by a long -long- walkway. So if you have tons of luggage, I strongly suggest to unload first while checkin in and then park the car, else you schlepp/roll/carry all your gear over several walk ways from garage to tower 1-2-3. But it’s all indoors, though.|Our room had a great view (we did pay extra for “high floor”) and modern, clean and very efficient furniture.|Hardly any complaints - perhaps the price is a bit high, especially if you pay for high-floor/view.||The only -small- complaints I’d have:|Signage! What is where, how, why?|It took us quite a while to figure out what is where. |Upper house, who is that and where? Why would I need it?|Another Example: our elevator in tower-3 had signs that the roof-top restaurant (and bar) would be on floor 27. Well, we couldn’t get up to 27, the button didn’t light up. We tried tower 2 - same experience. |Finally in tower 1 we saw a sign that you have to take an “special” elevator (glass enclosed, outside the building) to ride up to that restaurant. Same for breakfast: tower 3 elevator says “floor 2” on the elevator buttons, when in effect it was on floor 27.|You get the idea. I’m sure we still missed a few venues/restaurants/locations.|But - it makes exploring the hotel a fun adventure : )

Terrible room! There was ZERO air conditioning and despite temperature outside dropping to 16°c the room was at 28° both nights and no fan was available! The hotel looks better than its room which are very basic and despite booking a double bed it was 2 Swedish futon style single beds tied together with string but still with single bedding! And the mattresses were very thin leaving 2 very uncomfortable nights sleep! Definitely doesn’t deserve a good reputation! Very disappointed given the extremely high price for 2 nights! Choose elsewhere if you care about comfort!

Our stay was great, only two "drawbacks": the elevator stopped very often, even when already full. It therefore took some time to get up to our room and back. The other drawback is that the large capacity of the hotel, which is obvious at the breakfast buffet. Even though you can find a table without any issue, sometimes there were long lines at the buffet, even at 8 am. Apart from these small hiccups, we had a great stay with our 4 year old son, with a beautiful view.

Good hotel located downtown and close to just about everything. The airport is about a 15 to 25 minutes drive. Hotel staff are helpful and pleasant. Room is on the small side with just enough room to move around. Not many places to put things. Very small pull down desk. Cube storage with several hooks to hang clothes. Split twin beds pushed close together to make a queen sized bed. Adequate sized bathroom. HVAC didn't cool the room at all despite being set correctly. Air barely came out of overhead ducting. Windows were key locked closed so couldn't open them for cooler outside air.

Unimpressed - why market as a family friendly hotel across from a theme park but exclude children from swimming pool at all times ? At no point when booking is there a pop up advising this and hotel staff were happy to inform us once they had taken payment in full for room ? Once questioned we received a simpel “sorry” In regards to us not reading the small print on their website !!! Given that the pool is used on nearly all homepages and advertising for this “family hotel” I would call this our as false advertising- beware and book alternatives if you have kids who are under 16 (ours are 12) as the fun play zone is mediocre and certainly aimed at small children, Leaving tween age group with not much to do. Room was sparse but at least clean - although hooked for two children - room only prepared for 1’child .. Unimpressed all round and sadly we couldn’t move hotels as city was very busy for a music festival. May I add we asked to speak with a manager to share this feedback face to face but they failed to join us sending a junior Member of staff to Say “sorry” Take your money and family elsewhere is our advise

Stayed here while visiting Chalmers University. The hotel is one tram stop away from Chalmers, so very convenient. Note that Chalmers is not walkable easily from Gothia since the tram goes through a tunnel with the campus on the other side of the tunnel but the 4 minute tram ride makes it easy. The hotel itself serves a exhibtion center and is conveniently connected by tram to local venues. It is about a 20 min walk from central station and is within 10-15 walking distance from lots of restaurants. Room was excellent and breakfast was extensive.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gothia Towers for one night, and it was truly a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, ensuring that my check-in was smooth and stress-free. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with modern, spacious rooms that offer stunning views of the city. The amenities were top-notch, and I particularly loved the comfortable bed and sleek bathroom. The breakfast buffet the next morning was a highlight – a wide variety of delicious options to suit all tastes, and the quality was exceptional. The hotel's location is also perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Overall, my stay at Gothia Towers exceeded all expectations. It’s clear they focus on both luxury and convenience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable place to stay in the area.

Yelp
Enjoyed my stay and loved this hotel. Sissy at the front desk was super helpful and shared some good tips for my visit. The hotel room was beautiful with classy and clean decor and wood paneling. The glass elevators to the bar and restaurants on the top floor were a nice touch. I look fwd to my next stay and hope to enjoy the pool and spa next time

Yelp
I recently was lucky enough to visit Sweden and especially Gothenburg. Staying at this hotel was an absolute amazing experience and truly made the trip relaxing. From the abundant food options inside the hotel to the blocks around, there were plenty of varieties to keep it interesting. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the beds are good for a decent sleep. The bathroom is ok size and a cool perk is the heated towel racks. Iron, fridge, television, the usual standards are all available with ample closet space. The staff is astoundingly caring and go the extra step to make the trip memorable. On a few occasions, the staff went above and beyond for anything I needed help with. Also, with sporadic rain showers, feel free to borrow an umbrella from the front guest services!

Yelp
Nice rooms with good food but this is about the spa they make each kid under 18 have a adult over which is completely nonsense and idiotic which I don't believe is necessary because a group of five 17 year olds and one 25 year old should be able to go in a hot tub which costs 45 dollars Do not recommend and will never return to this spa

Yelp
TLDR: a meh, unkempt motel with a fancy hotel website. Easy to assume that it will be nicer than it is, based on website and pricing. The good: steps from Liseberg, if you're a family traveling with that destination. Walkable to transit. The meh: in person, the rooms look like a cramped corner of a worn-down, dirty IKEA display floor. There was a lot of loose dirt on the floor when we arrived, as though it had not been cleaned between guests. The small chair in the room is covered with several visible stains. Linens also stained. Mattresses stiff. "Two person" bed was just two single beds pushed together with an awkward gap in the middle. Floors, furniture scuffed and worn. Things also are broken down and the staff seems to know that's just how it is - we couldn't get the lights to work when we arrived (rooms have one of those slots where you stick your card to get the lights to work). We called reception and they said yeah, the lights can be wonky and you need to be rough/try a dozen times to get things to work. Same issue with the TV remote. TV was blaring music with a welcome screen displayed when we arrived, and none of the buttons on the remote or TV set were responsive enough to turn it off. Eventually we got it to turn off after the seventh try, but just know: everything is a bit dilapidated here. Walls are very thin - heard lots of voices, thumps and bumps from adjacent room. Breakfast was adequate but lower quality than what we've had elsewhere in Sweden (rolls seemed stale, rice pudding mushy, sliced bread tasted like processed bagged bread instead of fresh bread, just generally lower quality ingredients). If you're used to American hotel breakfast, this will feel fine, but it's just lower quality than what you can get at cheaper Swedish hotels. Is this the crappiest hotel I've stayed at? Definitely not. However, it's thoroughly on the low-mediocre end (think ~2 stars) while advertising and pricing itself as a more comfy, clean, ~4 star experience. I don't mind a budget motel if I'm paying budget prices - and this spot was ~30% more than finer hotels we stayed at during this trip. I'd give this 3 stars on Yelp if it weren't for the gap between marketing, pricing, and reality. Come here if the location is worth the markup to you, and you are open to a moderately grubby experience at these prices. Otherwise, you may leave feeling hoodwinked.

Yelp
This hotel starts off really great! Lovely restaurants and bars to relax i would recommend it but be cautious with the room the room we stayed in was very sub par the phone didn't work for two days and being in Sweden really didn't know if this was the norm or not (see the photos) before and after of complaining about the uncleanliness of the bathroom! It's your call on this place! Make sure the room is cleaned and not done medicore and don't expect much from guest services except for the guy that came up and scrubbed this mold the STAFF lied about the cost i would be charged! Speaking to any one in charge not happening

Yelp
We were booked at Upper House for the last night of our trip, so we decided to stay at Gothia Towers the night before so we'd be able to easily transfer from one place to the other. We were initially super impressed with the ground floor. Gorgeous interior and elegant decorations. A modern design theme with bright vibrant green plants for splashes of color. We arrived on a Saturday night and were overwhelmed by the line for check-in. For all three towers they had only one check-in counter with about 3 individuals. The line snaked all the way past the entry doors for the first tower and it took about 45 minutes the check-in. When we got up to the front they informed us their parking was full and we'd have to find another parking structure somewhere in the area. So after waiting in line, the husband had to go off and take care of that. Our room was nice but definitely average with a small shower in the bathroom and pretty basic b on everything else. Our bed was comfy with nice linens and the cost of the room was pretty reasonable. The husband had the breakfast the next day but said it was not impressive and there weren't many gf options for me so I stayed in bed. I did have a bit of an issue that night with some bugs biting me, not in the bed but in the carpet I believe. While getting ready to go out for dinner I found a couple bites on my foot, the next morning I had 15 up my leg and on both feet and ankles. At checkout we did suggest they look into it but nothing came of it. We did really appreciate that when we checked out they made a special effort to call Upper House and get us checked in upstairs so we wouldn't have to store our luggage.

Yelp
The Brunch buffet at Seasons was fantastic. So many options! A variety of egg choices and a variety of desserts!

Yelp
Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Gothenburg either on business or pleasure. The lobby is lively with great restaurants, bars and a nice kids play area. The property is also close enough for an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, museums and Liseberg. Breakfast is also included and this is not your typical Continental Breakfast, the food served for breakfast is delicious!!! I travel a lot for business and pleasure and have to say this has been the best "breakfast included" I've had, hands down! The pool is also pretty spectacular on the 20th floor a must see. And lastly Heaven 23, which is on the 23rd floor offers great views of the city and is a perfect lounge to wind down at the end of the day. Overall the property was very clean and classy and recommend as stated before. However, it is very business oriented due to being next to World Trade Center Gothenburg which is great for business travelers but if you're looking for a more cozy environment for a family trip this might not be the place.

Yelp
Love this hotel! Unfortunately I only stayed in Gothenburg for 2 nights but everything was perfect. I had a sweet lady named Rebecca check me in. She was so welcoming and went above and beyond giving us suggestions on things to see and places to eat. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I have encountered and I travel very frequently. We stayed in a sky suite. The view was phenomenal and the vip breakfast on the 29th floor was great too. The hotel has three different towers and numerous bars and restaurants. I liked Heaven 23 due to the amazing view as well. The first floor has a bunch of creative design ideas from animals to lights and everything in between. Will definitely be back to this hotel. Thank you Rebecca for all your help!

Yelp
This is kind of a high profile hotel in Gothenburg so I did expect more of an experience than I got. They are trying very hard to be high profile and perhaps it is this that also makes it very impersonal, too clean, without heart, like the high profile was plastered on to a concrete wall. Some areas felt empty and under construction while walking between the attached restaurants and the hotel lobby. The service was friendly enough although a bit confused and they ended up charging my room for things from the mini-bar which I did not take, this is also quite ironic, since there is no mini-bar (yes, I checked). Phoning them up they confirmed the error and was supposed to send me a new receipt, which they didn't. I had a nice view from the room since it is quite high up in the tower. But there was a constant and very noticeable sound from the ventilation, which brings down the review a notch. The breakfast buffé did have quite a lot on offer, but I would have to say that the same impersonal feeling was here as well, bright lights and long tables made it feel like you were sitting in a military barrack. If you do end up at the hotel or if you're ever in the area I do recommend that you take the elevator on the outside of the building up to the bar / restaurant Heaven 23. Then enjoy the view of Liseberg at night (especially during Christmas season) and also the ride up there.

Yelp
I just finished up a 4 night stay at the Gothia Towers. I highly recommend it based on location, the world class staff and he breadth and quality of the breakfast that's included. It's considered a 4 star hotel and if this is your first time to Sweden like it was for me you might be a little shocked by how small the rooms are, in general. I'll be coming back!

Yelp
If you judge this book by it's cover, it looks like a posh hotel filled with a luxurious stay; however, looks can be deceiving. What the lobby and ground floor covered in gorgeous decor, modern and buzzing restaurants and sky-scraping architecture, the rooms lacked in functionality and service. Their standard rooms with a queen bed are quite small, with enough space for a bed, sofa, and a small bathroom. The decor of the room is very simple and minimal, like something seen inside a budget motel. The bathroom is very small and cramped; a standing shower next to the toilet with a glass partition, guaranteed to get half of the floor wet. The other oddity is that instead of 1 duvet, they had 2 single duvets on the queen bed, although I believe this a customary thing in Swedish hotels. Their customer service was nice; however, room service was not well. Half the time I had to ring down to the front desk because either my room had not been cleaned (i.e. see above for sopping wet bathroom), or the cleaners would have thrown out the soaps/empty shampoo bottles not to have replaced them. Also, there must have been construction occurring nearby on the hotel, because throughout most of the day and early evening all we could hear was pounding. It was very disruptive. The saving grace of this hotel, in my opinion, was their breakfast buffet. Though no variability, they did provide a fully allergen friendly counter, filled with gluten free breads, vegan muffins, GF and vegan cereals, and a mini-cooler filled with milk and yogurt alternatives.

Yelp
Perfect place to live if you're at liseberg. In general ok hotel, despite hoards of people breakfast worked out ok. We had problems with elevators, they were horribly under dimensioned. Waited 15 minutes att two occasions around 11am to get down to ground level. Both checkout and opening time for Liseberg were at 11... if you are in the middle of the hotel the elevators go past you on their way up and are full on their way down. They walked in and cleaned the room despite "Do not disturb" on the door (we were out). Got compensated by not having to pay the parking fee. Nice. So, mixed experience but ok place to stay and only a stone throw away from Liseberg which gives it an advantage.

Yelp
9am closing of breakfast is unacceptable slamming dishes around and taking plates. Making guests feel uncomfortable like we have to rush. It isn't supposed to be closed until 10 am. Yesterday kitchen staff were yelling at one another in the ristorante. Some of the spa staff needs to learn about customer service as well because the girl had me extremely confused then the spa attendant turned to me and sternly said do not remove food from here. Honey I'm the one paying to be here , don't be rude. Also Why the hell would you have the locker rooms on a separate floor from the pools? I was so annoyed that I went from "this is going to be wonderful to stressed out" - also went out and bought wine for our room and the bar tender was not very nice about opening the bottle for me and wouldn't loan us a cork screw. We can't carry cork screws on airplanes. These are BASIC customer services at hotels. Something tells me that management drives this attitude. We spent a lot of money here. You really need to fix this.

Yelp
One of the best hotels in downtown Gothemburg. The rooms are standard, fresch and theres all the service you need 24/7. The bathrooms need renovation.
