Gourmet B&B Villa Landucci Firenze

Not What the Name Suggests The best thing about this B&B is its location—it’s within easy walking distance to the center of Florence, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Despite the name suggesting a more luxurious or gourmet experience, the accommodations are far from it. The rooms are extremely dated, with tired decor and amenities. There’s a distinct lack of attention to cleanliness, and the overall ambiance doesn’t match the price point at all. For what you pay, the value for money is disappointing—it feels more like a budget stay dressed up with a misleading name. If all you need is a place to sleep near Florence’s attractions, it’ll do the job, but don’t expect anything more than the basics.

A wonderful stay in Florence! The staff are super friendly and took a lot of time to explain stuff to us which we greatly appreciated. Their recommendations for food were certainly top tier! The hotel itself is very well-kept and welcoming, we had one of the rooms on floor -1. The room was very huge with a closet and large bed. They also have a minibar which we didn’t use but prices seem comparable for the area. Due to our schedule (had to leave at about 07:00 daily) we didn’t get to have breakfast with them, sadly, but it always smelled good! At the time of this review the surcharge for breakfast was 10€ as a heads up! (Again very comparable to the area and definitely smelled worthwhile). The main hotel lobby is on the ground floor (floor 0) but there are steps to get into the hotel. For after dark there is one light which switches on due to a sensor after opening the building door and a light switch on the left after turning the corner for the main staircase should you need it. The only downsides are that the shower was a bit small in our room and the drain didn’t drain well at all and we forgot to mention that to them upon departure due to a tight schedule. They also didn’t have access to a Do Not Disturb doorknob hanger so someone would come and clean while we were out - not a big deal but room for improvement. Lastly, they provided us with a ton of shampoo but took any soap that was in the shower - again, not a big deal but quite strange. The area around the B&B: it’s 15 minutes walking from train station Campo di Marti where you can connect to Firenze S.M. Novella on a commuter train for 5 minutes. There are a few mini markets nearby that are well-stocked and fairly priced - if you can find a grocery store that would be best. There are numerous restaurant options around, several recommended by the B&B that were awesome! The area is quite walkable but does have a decent amount of traffic so be warned! Overall a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Great service and the manager are very friendly and create a big feel of welcome. The rooms are not the latest but still with a good cleaning and a more odd and special touch to it. A true B&B feel. Good walking distance to alm Florence have to offer. A plus is the free parking space 🙏🙏

PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS, and specifically note the replies from the ownership before you book. I should have noted the red flags before booking... We cancelled our reservation due to a flight cancelation and owners have been horrible to deal with, no refund being given and even attempting discussions through expedia with the property we were told by expedia "the owner did not want to listen to the situation and was agressive and rude until he hung up on me". REPLY TO OWNER REPLY: This review is not fake... As I stated, see the behavior by the owner in the reply we also recieved earlier via email and phone. The review is not fake, the review is about your treatment of me during our interaction about my reservation and need to cancel. I'd have happily sent you the cancelled flight info for verification but you never allowed any further discussion. I have all of the screenshots to prove the reservations and conversations. The threat of attempting to sue me for posting a truthful and detailed review is sad on your part, I'm happy to send the proof to your lawyers. EDIT 2: You've now changed your response (don't worry I took screen shots of your original insulting and verbally abusing response from you) incase you still want to have your lawyers contact me. I also screenshot your original replies to other customers showing the behavior. To recap, your original response was both insulting and you threatened to sue me for posting my review and telling others to read your responses to customers. I will say nothing past this, just read the owner responses and you'll see.

It is not advisable to go👎 Be careful with the small print when booking because they will cheat you if they can. It is very expensive for the little that is offered. A total of €190 for one night's sleep. The place is very poor for the price they charge and the service is very bad.

We arrived with high expectations as the B&B titled itself as 'Villa' & 'Gourmet' and promised serving high quality food as well as bio breakfast with passion. What we had found whatsoever already on the first morning did not meet basic standards at all. Already 45min before end of breakfast there was almost no (fresh) food left besides cold eggs, sugared croissants and bad tasting coffee (not Italian like at all and the worst we had so far). Also, the hygiene was not taken too seriously and we had to clean after the cutlery ourselfes. Unfortunately, we are truly disappointed and we will surely not book this hotel again.

Villa Landucci is surely place to look at seeking accommodation in Florence. Located close to old town in a quiet area offers good starting point to your exploration of town's beauty. |It has its own atmosphere, unique and authentic. |Nice spacious rooms designed in regional style are comfortable and offers all you might need. Balcony gives you a view to back garden.|Villa has its own parking area (inside, not on the street) and gives opportunity to book park place.|What gives signature and spark of the place is the owner who is always ready to help. If you visit Florence for the first time, he shows you places to go on the map, gives you handy info what to focus on, what to avoid due to long queues or maybe how to book entrance in advance.|He seems to have quite a knowledge also about restaurants and food. Kindly recommends what are(by his own experience) restaurants to go to. He is available even to book table to one you choose (booking is needed for dinner especially). |Simply Villa Landucci is like a family place, you are not only a guest, but a person who is recognized as individual.|I personally recommend it!

Our stay at Villa Landucci was incredible. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed, stocked mini-fridge, working AC unit and a door that led into the courtyard. It is located a 10 minute walk away from a street full of restaurants and other fun spots, and a 30 minute walk from Florence Cathedral. ||From the moment we arrived, Matteo took the time to meet with us and learn exactly what type of experience we wanted to have in Florence. He provided us with a map marked with restaurants, museums, vintage bookstores and other spots that fit our personalities and the experience we wanted to have. He even told us the correct way to order a lampredotto sandwich - with green and red sauce on wet bread, if you’re interested. He also made restaurant reservations, called taxis, provided great advice and did everything possible to make sure we had a good stay. The staff made sure that our room was clean, bed sheets changed and coffee replaced.||I would highly recommend Villa Landucci to anyone traveling to Florence. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer.

Villa Landucci is a really nice Bed and breakfast close to the Florence center located in a quiet area of Florence close to Campo di Marte. I have been here on a number of occasions and many friends of mine have stayed here. A small place with only five rooms, each room is themed for a famous wine. In house gourmet expert AmbasciatoreGusto Debora (who is also the owner with her partner Matteo) is super friendly and has some great restaurant recommendations if you are looking for some great (and affordable) food during your stay. They also have private parking (huge plus), wifi internet and an outdoor garden where you can hang out after a long day walking around Florence. They also let you use their kitchen. The rooms themselves are very large and comfortable, breakfast in the morning is impressive and organic, plus they also have a lending library, you can take a book or donate a book. You can tell this is a place with a personal touch, last time I was there they gave me a bunch of zucchini and lettuce from their back garden, score!
