"Secluded Beaches of St. Barths: Gouverneur Beach Gouverneur Beach, on the south side of St. Barths , offers good swimming and snorkeling conditions in a secluded location. This beautiful curve of white sand and turquoise waves is an island favorite, but it still offers a feeling of privacy and remoteness. Rumor has it that famous pirate Captain Monbars “the Exterminator” hid stolen treasure in a secret cave near the beach. Perhaps he knew a thing or two about the value of a secluded spot. Putting aside pirate speculation, the peace, quiet, and relaxation found upon this sand is worth the extra effort of traversing the steep winding trail leading to it. Be sure to bring an umbrella if you enjoy a little shade."

Beautiful secluded beach with ample parking. Clear water and fine sand, strong wave make for good for a fun dip but has floating seaweeds and tickles around you. Since its south facing and the sun is in front of you, literally no shades to hide.

Nice Beach that is a little more crowded than some other beaches! It seems The In Crowd will be found here

This is the most beautiful beach on the island and top in the world in my books. Also one of the few beaches with a big tree for shade. Lots of easy parking as it has a full lot. Good for swimming with very few rocks.

Beautiful beach, but not a great place to anchor. We did so in sand, but the waves make it an unsettled anchorage. Swam to the beach, which has wonderful soft sand. Snorkeled a bit on the east side but there wasn’t much coral or sea life and the waves were moderate. Good place to relax, take in the sun, and swim and play in the waves. Beautiful natural setting. Quite a few people there on a Wednesday afternoon, but mostly on the east end. More quiet on the west end where at least a couple people took the opportunity to discreetly sun and swim bare.

Beautiful beach that is as beautiful as Colombier but without the hike. The beach doesn't have any amenities but has plenty of parking right on the beach which is great. When I visited the waves were strong and so was the breeze which meant that I was able to stay cool and enjoy the waves.

nice uncrowded somewhat long beach which was good for families and those who wanted to ride the waves to some nudiest at the far end. No amenities or hotels by the beach for refreshements, chairs or umbrellas so come prepared

Awesome beach, it been rough around the island at all beaches this year. A little tough for kids. Adults need to take care going into the water. But the beaches are spectacular...

Amazing Island!!! A small but a very nice island! All European standards, quite different from Asian islands, very clean and up to standards. I like it being small, cant find any people camping, all here are well mannered. Like I said it’s all up to European standards! Lots of small shops and restaurants as well as nice and clean beaches. It’s not as easy to get here usually 2-3 stops from main destinations, but still worth of coming!
