It was the Lt. Governor's New Year's Day Levee. There was about a 15 minute wait outdoor then another 15 minutes to greet the Lt. Gov. Very crowded everywhere indoors. There was a single table at the back of a room where sandwiches, raw vegetables, and cookies were offered. A number of areas were blocked off so many people consumed their food standing up, or took it up to the second or third floor. There was a harpist playing at the entrance and a young, but talented, cellist in a room on the 2nd floor. Inadequate seating there, too, and crowded with people who remained standing.
The event compared poorly to when I last attended the Levee in 2006.
