Breakfast was great! Loved the HUGE pancakes! The house fries were flavorful and the bacon wasn't cooked to death. Bought some pastries from the bakery side and they are just as good.

Had breakfast here. It was a decent spot. The eggs, home fries, toast was good. Pancakes could be better. $10 for 2 eggs, toast and coffee

All I can say is WOW. I eat out maybe 3 times a month, but when I do I expect an experience. I can cook, eating out is my chance to not make a mess in my kitchen and relax.
Governor's hit and exceeded all my expectations.
The waitress, Lisa, was extremely friendly, fast, and attentive. I have had maybe three servers her equal in my life. My water never went below a quarter glass, we never felt abandoned or as though we were an inconvenience. 5 star wait staff.
The kitchen staff was absolutely incredible. Peak lunch hour, and I was able to get probably one of the best Panco breaded fish and chips I've ever experienced in less than 10 minutes. We also ordered an extra side of onion rings after our main dishes arrived, and they were hot on our table in less than 5 minutes. The food is clearly all hand made, you can taste the fresh homemade batter and the fish and onion rings are crisp and clean, not soft and soggy. 5 star food.
Dessert was a 'slice' of triple layer peanut butter chocolate cake that equated to about 1/2 an ordinary cake mix. Fed 2 grown adults, and it was not only big, it was GREAT. I pride myself on moist cakes that are unmatched in the commercial world, but this comes pretty darn close. 5 star dessert.
My only complaint is the price, some dishes are above fair market value. But honestly, you get what you pay for, and I've paid more for less in the past. I will DEFINITELY be a regular customer after this amazing experience.

Delicious! Plentiful! Specials for each day of the week and original unexpected items on the menu!
Only real complaint is that the windows are in desperate need of a good cleaning inside and out.

Very good dinner, the food is New England style. We went for brunch and the waiting wasn't that bad , the food and the friendly staff worth the wait. Note: If you are getting any drink with alcohol please take your ID they will card you for sure!

When you walk in the bakery is on full display. It smells great and will wake you right up, good luck not getting anything. I went for breakfast and had the blueberry pancakes which of course had the Maine signature wild blueberries in them. How could you go wrong? Very generous size so I'm glad I only got 2 with my side of crispy bacon. I would have taken a picture but I couldn't wait to dig in before my long ride back home.
The waitress was friendly and attentive. She didn't get frustrated at us fighting over who was giving her a credit card to pay so points for that. Side note, great local feel example, my godfather saw the lady who assists with his laundry every week sitting right next to us. Small town. I'd love to go back one day when I visit.

Great American fare. Their rolls are delicious. The seafood portions are well sized too. Excellent service whether you dine in or take out. Don't forget the dessert case on your way out as well

We went for the lobster rolls which were exceptional. Beautiful clean delicious fresh sweet meat. Very little mayonnaise and just the right amount of seasoning very subtle. The roll was nice and toasted and came with a side of delicious mashed potatoes with beef gravy. That's what we chose for the side there are other options. The prices are right for the lobster rolls and we will l be back!!!
