Food is very tasty. It's pure vegetarian food without onions and garlic in the food. Price is very reasonable and the quantity is a lot. Very nice environment, and I have no regret for trying this vegetarian food in Budapest.

Their food is tasty and authentic. Quantity and Quality wise optimal. We had the "Govinda the menu for two people " and could get the flavor of an Indian temple Prasadam. They seem to pick vegetables according to the current season, as we had a lot of pumpkin dishes since we visited during Halloween 🎃 time. The only downside is that they don't accept card payments. Only Forints and Euro accepted as means of payment.

Located walking distance to the river Danube and hotel Roosevelt, Govinda is one amongst the very few pure vegetarian restaurants here in Budapest. Run by Iskon trust, they serve traditional food options . Their samosa , pakodi are good. Rest you have choose to pick out from their available veg Thali options. PS:- I found their Thali's bounded as they offered just 1 Pudi with it, and extra charge of 750HUF per Pudi. Sounds very impractical right Can try if short of food options.

I like Govinda very much. I come here often. Lately they have improved. Food became more delicious. And also where else you can eat a lot for only 2800? It’s a very nice option to have lunch. Maybe someone will say that selection of food is small, but it’s enough for me.

This place has a delicius vegan and vegeterian food at very reasonable price. I have been in many vegan places in Budapest, and can tell that this one has the one of the most tastefull meals. Highly recommended.

Nice place, near to the Szechenyi bridge, reasonable prices. We had lunch at this restaurant on two days and had a take out too. They will greet you with Hare Krishna, accepted Euro currency and for Indians, its like the curry point kind of restaurant this one is.

We had two lunch menu there(2000Ft/each). First of all I would like to mention that the guy at the counter was very friendly. When I didn’t know how to order(the lunch menu) and what to choose he was very patient and even suggested me to taste another sabuji a little as well. The portion was big enough for full lunch. I choosed one soup+two sabuji+two fried zucchini+rose water lemonade and my husband one soup+one sabuji+two scoop of turmeric rice. It was my first time there and my husband used to visit there a few years ago. So he knew what he want to order! I didn’t understood why he didn’t want to order the fried zucchini and lemonade within the same price. Later I understood the reason! The fried zucchini was very oily that I gave my husband one from mine, even though he didn’t wanna try :D Later he said it used to be that way(oily and not fresh oil feeling as well). Lemonade was ok than what he expected from his previous experiences(he thought it would be just unhealthy stuff, mainly water and sugar). So overall, the food and portion and price were ok(You might feel a little expensive than nomal Indian buffet outside of the center in Budapest but come on, it is in the 5th District!) Just one Sabuji was too salty and the fried zucchini was too oily. Except that everything was alright! I hope they can concern about the salt and oil issues and oneday I can give them 5 starts :) We still recommend this restaurant for everyone!
