Absolutely love Govinda CBD! The food is always fresh, tasty, and so comforting — you can really tell it’s made with care. Great value for money and generous portions too. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is peaceful, which makes it a perfect spot for a quick meal or to sit and relax. Highly recommend if you’re after delicious vegetarian food in the city!

I haven't been to Govinda's for years & I was surprised how much the prices have gone up. The feast meal with drink & dessert is now $26.50, and the drink is pre-poured instead of helping yourself. The halva in the feast meal is placed on a section of the tray & just has a small squiggle of custard on top, instead of sitting in a dish of custard - this makes it a bit dry & much less enjoyable than I remember. The rest of the meal was absolutely delicious, however, and considering the current state of prices elsewhere, it's still fair value. My only complaints are the halva not having enough custard & the chanting sound track was a bit loud today. I've considered bringing my colleagues here, but I think the sound would make talking a bit difficult, and I also wonder if it might be a bit intrusive for people of other religions? It might not be that loud every day. I had the supreme feast meal (pictured), but I asked for an extra kofta - the standard meal only has 2.

Wonderful, very delicious beyond my expectations. I ordered a Regular Feast, it has two curry, Papadam, two Kofta and some rice with. Chilies also made this dish more different spicy flavor. All in all, it’s a good meal with fair price.

Fantastic pure vegetarian and vegan food, great serving size for good price. The staff are always so beautiful too. Fabulous location in the CBD, lovely to be able to sit and enjoy. Highly recommended for everyone.

This is easily one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city. Came here for lunch with a mate and was able to grab a seat. Heard it gets packed during lunchtime. I really enjoyed the lasagne. Would've loved a side salad to go with it but it was a generous portion size & I couldn't finish it. I anticipated this and asked for it to be served in a takeaway container. Great value. My mate really enjoyed his meal too & comes here on a regular basis. Can't wait to come back & try the other menu items.

Tasty vegan and vegetarian food. The $15 combo deal (feast) is great value. $17 if it has paneer, I have to say that's not really made clear anywhere. They just need to add labels so they don't have to explain to every single customer what the dishes are.

Really yummy, fresh and hot. People are complaining about the price but I don’t see why. $15 for two curries, rice and koftas - I’m not a small eater by any means, and it lasted me nearly 3 meals. It’s very filling.
