The Feed Punchers visited a very unique punch destination, Govindas restaurant and cinema. For $28, there is an all you can eat, vegetarian buffet, incorporating fresh ingredients with a strong Indian influence.
At the start of the buffet line, there were options of white rice, brown rice, pots of soup and dahl. Next came salads, pasta and a variety of vegetable curries, which utilised predominantly; chickpeas, lentils, potato’s and tofu as the staple ingredient.
The stand out favourite for the Feed Punchers was the crispy deep fried cauliflower pakoras, which were golden and perfectly crispy. They were well paired with the tzatziki mint like sauce and the chilli chutney.
Overall, there was a great variety of fresh-vegetarian food in a buffet style. The perfect way to get a feed right before watching a movie. Thankyou Govindas!

Alright place - some dishes were nice, the sambhar in particular. But highly westernized - loses its Indian spirit, feels like fetishisation. The lassi was GOOD.

Delicious and a great budget deal buffet with good variety, including some vegan options.
The interior and dining area has a softly lit atmosphere and there was calm music on when we were there. Much appreciated that kind of setting 😊
Overall, it's a great and economical way to spend your evening having dinner and a movie included. Also, we enjoued the unique concept of the cosy beds and reasonably small cinema rooms to watch a movie. Never felt so comfy going to the cinema 🙂
Definitely coming back for sure

An interesting setup featuring an Indian-inspired buffet that adheres to the Hare Krishna diet along with a boutique cinema playing the latest blockbuster releases.
However - I recently chose to see 'Civil War' here and the volume was uncomfortably loud and above safe listening levels, peaking at over 90dB according to my phone application.
Still, it's a nice venue and I would come back if I knew they'd recalibrated their sound system to the established guidelines...

Very casual with a good atmosphere.
A vegetarian heaven.
The food is homely and very tasty.
Buffet style.
Parking can be quite difficult.
It is not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are two (2) flights of stairs which are quite challenging.
Worth a visit.

Not great but not bad. Staff are constantly zipping around the tight dining area. Westernised take on the Indian dishes on offer with the rest of the buffet being a pasta bake which you'll need the cheese top layer when taking your serving to have any flavour. Dining areas could be better illuminated. Those seeking a menu which doesn't contain onion and garlic (religious reasons) and is pure vegetarian and somewhat vegan have this as a safe option.

This is the best vegetarian buffet I have ever had. They had plenty of food options including multiple, salad, curry and pasta options. Bread, rice, wedges and soup were also on offer. The lentil pie was amazing; a bit like a shepherds pie but with lentils instead of beef filling. They fried Caulfield was amazing and the sauces for dipping were great too. I definitely recommend booking as it can get busy at movie times. The dinner and movie deal is well worth the spend, especially if you can get a Groupon voucher. The location of the toilets (down two flights of stairs) was a little awkward when up at the cinema, but other than that this place is great. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!
