Gowanus Gardens

A favorite neighborhood haunt for friends living on 4th Ave near the Union R stop. Back area is heated in winter. Food's great. Staff are fun and friendly. There are playing cards and games freely available.

I was visiting from out of state, looking for somewhere decent to eat and grab a drink. We noticed this place had a cozy vibe to it and people were inside so we walked in. We were immediately greeted upon walking in and sat down. We ordered some cocktails and chose the safe option of getting a burger and fries….. as soon as we got our cocktails we knew we were in for a good time. The drinks were amazing! Quick and kind service! NOW. The burger, oh man does that chef need a big kiss on the cheek because that was one of the best burgers we have ever had! The fries were seasoned and crisp. We immediately ordered more food off the menu! Everything here is delicious and a pure gem of a spot! The musubi is so good! We could’ve got everything on the menu but dammit we will be back!! Very nice people, great atmosphere, great prices! A shockingly good restaurant! Don’t miss out on this place!

Literally the best sourdough BLT I’ve had late night! Also, don’t skip the Pepperocini bites. I couldn’t stop eating them. Definitely coming back to try more breakfast items. Let’s not forget the breakfast after 11pm menu. Literally obsessed!

A fun local bar with decent food. They have a large drinks selection for both beers and cocktails. The pepperoncini bites were interesting, the chicken wings were crispy, and the quesadilla had fresh jalapenos inside, which elevated it. The service was friendly and attentive.

Great outdoor patio in the back with ping pong! Plenty of seating and a large community picnic table. Good happy hour selection with $1-$2 off drinks. Would recommend the honey bourbon wings with blue cheese, subtle flavor and not spicy.

I had the most amazing time with friends from out of town, playing trivia and having cocktail/bar foods! Great selection and reasonable prices. Plus, look at this space!? It's absolutely beautiful. We were treated so well by all of the staff, and for a place, I would call a dive bar, the bathrooms were nice too! Definitely check this place out if you are looking for a great space for a group.

Wow. Great liquor and beer selection, lots of space in the bar and backyard for lots of friends. The inside and outside both have a nice aesthetic, and the staff is super kind and professional. Jukebox is really well curated and a pleasure to browse. The food is SO good and much better than your average bar. Very accessibly priced food & drink in a great space. This is definitely my new hangout.

It’s a really cosy bar . We saw special $10 beer and a shot, so we asked for pickle backs… unfortunately they didn’t have pickle juice . Whiskey was bad, beer was so light . We order chicken wings - it’s was $14 for a good portion, they was good. The bar has garden and outside sitting. Was cute and nice music . They have some food items that are gluten free if you interested 😉
