The accommodation itself was decent, but unfortunately, the experience with the host left much to be desired in terms of hospitality. We arrived before the stated closing time and were handed the key along with some basic details, including the Wi-Fi credentials. However, we were unable to connect to the internet, and mobile data does not work in that area. We attempted to contact the host around 7:30 PM for assistance, but he responded that he couldn’t help us at that time. As a result, we had to drive to Sheffield—a 15-minute trip each way—to attend to some important matters online. The next morning, before we had the chance to reach out again, the host came to collect the key and insisted on inspecting the rooms (he knew of a broken regular water glass offered from the bin and we offered to pay for it). When we also raised our concerns about the internet, his response was to tell us, quite bluntly, to “never come back again.” Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of support and unfriendly attitude from the host.

Thé location is within easy driving of Sheffield, Latrobe and Cradle Mountain. We stayed in a cabin and although it has aged, we found it clean, homely, and it had everything we needed. Dean thé host was very friendly and informative. We were happy there.|We did a lovely bush walk nearby to O’Neills Creek.

My 8 year old boy and I were driving towards Cradle mt hoping to find some sort of accommodation and we saw this spot. We pulled out vehicle over and called the reception, the lady (Shelly) who answered the call was super friendly and for our luck, they had two unpowered sites were available. We checked straight in. Shelly was super helpful and every camper I met at the site were quite friendly. Clean kitchen, bathrooms and toilets. I noticed that everyone who used the kitchen left the kitchen clean for other fellow campers. I had a chat with Jeff (owner) - lovely old chap. A friendly note - if you could clean and tidy the entire site and get rid of all unwanted stuff for a campsite, this place would be even more awesome. I'll definitely come again.

The couple running the park were great. Help with anything I needed. Ensuring I had the oven going in camp kitchen. Bunks are small in the cabins, so I moved to the backpacker rooms. I loved this. Good heaters. Fire wood and firebox available.

We stayed for two nights and loved it. It's very quiet and peaceful. The owner Shelley was very helpful and very pleasant to talk to and made us most welcome. We have stayed there on previous occasions over the last 20 years and always enjoyed it. Would highly recommend it.
