Gozo Is a Hidden Gem in the Mediterranean, How to Visit

"A small, 26-square-mile island in the Maltese archipelago that feels like an island getaway where the waters are electric blue, the history runs deep, and the crowds are thin; it's tailor-made for rest and relaxation rather than partying, yet still offers plenty for outdoor enthusiasts. I've found it comfortably inhabited for thousands of years, and practical tips include exchanging dollars for euros before you go. The best time for swimming is summer (June–September) when average highs reach the mid-80s, while the shoulder seasons (April–May and mid-September–November) offer pleasant 70s temperatures." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. Spent a couple of hours visiting whilst on a boat trip from Malta. Gorgeous island with so much history. Definitely worth a visit!

By boat it’s a nice break from the crowds but still a little too crowded. If you’re looking for secluded coves probably need to leave Malta and head to Greece. Be careful in water as day trippers can rent boats.

The One of the most beautiful place in malta! It's a part of malta. So quiet area. Mostly Malta's farming located in gozo. Landscapes are so nice.

I love Gozo, easy to get too. A pleasant thirty minute ferry ride with a car or take the high speed ferry from Valetta. Lots to do and many great swimming spot.

Is a boat trip and must go. The scene and water are so nice and clean. Sometimes unable to go out if the weather is bad because the waves are too strong.

Super place to visit. No need for specialist excursions, just use Malta Public Buses and the fast ferries for a fraction of the cost. Gozo has a beautiful Citadel and some great photo opportunities.

Definitely a must visit whilst in Malta, the main city of Victoria was beautiful and the citadel was crazy amazing. Awesome views and the top. A bit of a walk up a hill and the elevator unfortunately wasn't working when we were there so others weren't able to visit which was unfortunate.

I had a great time but unfortunately, I got lost in Gozo, so I had to walk for about an hour to find where I wanted to go to but it was still a nice island!
