Important warning. If you are not from here, do not speak German, or your German is not fluent — even if you are white — I strongly advise you not to come here. For foreigners who do not understand the language, this is not a safe place. As in many parts of Europe, racism is very real here. Switzerland is no exception. The bigger issue, however, is that it is deliberately silenced and covered up. Even when you try to warn others or share your experience in reviews, these comments are often blocked or removed by platforms like Google. Being in the city center, tourist areas, or so-called “safe” locations does not change this reality. I personally witnessed deeply disturbing behavior inside establishments, and I also experienced an incident myself. What happened to me was clearly racist and aggressive. It was not physical, but it was verbal, hostile, and intimidating. I am saying this very clearly: this place can be dangerous for foreigners. If you are not already here, especially if you do not speak the language, please stay away.

Very local, so don’t go if you want full service in English. But if you want to feel a bit of Züri uncle charm who knows just little enough English - you’ll love it.

All snacks I had were quite good (if you remember that you are in a Kneipe) and it feels like going to a real Berliner Kneipe!

Great locals bar. Open until early morning even on weekdays. Order a grilled cheese toastie. Friendly staff and local vibe

Missed the last train home so was at a loose end to see how I could pass a few hours until the earliest train in the morning...…..luckily found this little bar, and it was busy enough...…good crowd in, nice banter and atmosphere...… Sat quietly down with bags, tired as had travelled half way round the world....but a fellow irish man later arrived and bang the spirits were lifted.... The chat got going and the beers aflowing, so good I "missed" the first early train back home as well, ha. Nice and friendly bar man, serving good beers, good atmosphere, and my new favourite bar in Switzerland...…great stuff, and hopefully will return in future.

The place is moving you 20 years to the past. The guests and the bartenders seem to know each other very good. Nice playlist, helpful bartenders. Very interesting atmosphere :) Possibility to pay with the card.

Small traditional style pub with unassuming exterior, first visit on a Friday night, good service for beers and spirits. 35CHF for 2x double Bombay gin and tonic, light snack menu available. Would come back!
