Grace Boutique House

The hotel is located right next to the Thapae loft which cost triple of what its cost in Grace boutique. The building and room is much older. Room has bathroom, tv, fan, heater and airconditioner. But the price is lot cheaper. And location is great, can walk to all the temples around the city. If you are looking for a place just to sleep and tour around in the day. This hotel is highly recommended. The staffs are very friendly.

The rooms here are basic and small but are clean and for the price the location is excellent. The mattress is very hard but you find this in a lot of cheaper places in Asia. |The best part of this hotel is definitely the facilities that you have use of. The pool and VW Camper bar are a great place to chill out after a day exploring

Although the location is very central and the room quite sufficient for our needs, the mattress was broken and noisy that really makes some difficult to sleep. I've been to many hostels and guest house where the mattress was ok but this is another story. Moreover, the electricity plugs was quite bad I couldn't use them properly the charger keep on falling from the plug and I needed to find some creative ways to keep it there. The pool was nice at the first day but then again I went to the pool where the water stream wasn't working nor the filters I guess, cause there were many insects floating there which was quite disgusting. The stuff in the hotel was really nice apart from one guy that started to ask me some weird questions about my relationship and it was really odd, I felt really inconvenience. Finally, the place isn't worth the money .. you can check for something else.

Grace is sharing Lobby with a higher end hotel. Sure you get good attitude from the front desk. And the pool belongs to the Higher end hotel and is very nice.However,unlike the 2000 Baht room is the nicer hotel, the 700 Baht rooms in the Grace building are in poor condition.||-The biggest issue is the mattress. I can personally sleep anywhere but a noisy mattress with broken springs is a different story. I understand they can't put expensive mattress there but a new cheap one is better than broken.||-The whole room has only one power plug.||-The very last night, it was pouring rain, which is not uncommon. Water was leaving from the ceiling everywhere into our luggages. This was the second floor and I can imagine the floor above us was sinking in water.||- Shower boiler was not working properly so you get alternation of hot and cold shower.||||There are many nicer places in Chiang Mai with the same price and they have to really take action and solve these issues.

Because we booked this guesthouse in a package deal with a jungle tour, we didn't have much of a choice since a lot of guesthouses where already fully booked. We didn't sleep a lot on the concrete-like beds. The plus of the bathroom was that you could take a shower while on the toilet. Our laundry was kinda mixed-up with other peoples clothes, but all in all we had some good laughs about it when we where home. Kudos for the nice lady at the reception. We where there at Christmas time and she was constantly singing Xmas songs. She's great fun and very hospitable! Don't forget to have a glass of SangSom with her ;-)

I was here only a couple nights and it was fine!||Would not recommend a longer stay as the budget rooms area dated and could use a overhaul, but at the price I payed cant complain!||AC worked nicely, also shower had hot water and as per usual the bed was "firm".||||Things I missed: shower curtain, power outlets and a little more lights in room. Also the hard concrete walls with dark paint did not make you feel too welcome.||||Staff was great and the option to use the Thapae Loft pool is a good addition!

Crazy cheap! Rooms were clean, staff was kind. But this is a budget hotel. The rooms were sparse, the bed sounded like a shotgun going off when you got up (sorry neighbors) and the wifi was nofi. But the location was great, and the shared lobby and pool with the fancy joint next door was well above what you would otherwise get at a budget joint. Location is spectacular, but it's a bit hard to find. Look for the sign facing south on the main road. If you're a fan of Sunday Walking Street (and judging from the crowd, there are about 1.4 billion of you who like this event) the location is perfect.

Basic hotel on the older side, but it did have a pool. Double room was dark and not inviting. Did have TV, but reception was poor and only a couple of terrible English speaking channels. Bathroom okay. Water provided and roomed cleaned every day. Good location in old city and close to all attractions. Guess you get what you pay for.
