Grace Mykonos

"They overuse the word rather gracelessly—Grace Suite, Grace Boutique Spa, State of Grace Restaurant & Bar, With Good Grace Gym—but it really is the right one to describe the cool serenity of this 32-room hotel just above Agios Stefanos Beach, about five minutes by taxi from Mykonos Town. The decor is minimalist, in every shade of pale, highlighted by a single oversized photo, backlit and printed on canvas of some reposeful natural element. Some rooms have private terraces with hot tubs from which to enjoy the Aegean views. As might be guessed, this is not a hotel for the see-and-be-seen crowd but one that allows you to escape from Mykonos’s nightly madness and relax, mostly by the pool (where breakfast is served, at whatever hour suits). The restaurant’s bar is a perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail, especially if the ever-thoughtful staff have advised you of the exact moment of sunset."

Mykonos was the final stop of our 12-day island-hopping honeymoon through Greece, and we arrived at Grace Hotel with high expectations based on the exceptional hospitality we experienced at our previous accommodations. Unfortunately, our stay fell short in several key areas. While the Grace Hotel staff were generally friendly and accommodating when prompted, the level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality did not compare to what we had grown accustomed to. Unlike our other stops, the staff here did not go out of their way to enhance our experience with local recommendations or special touches that reflect the culture. Our travel agent had informed the hotel of our honeymoon and we were told had arranged for an early check-in. However, upon our 1:30 PM arrival, the staff reported unawareness of the occasion or any special arrangements. We were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 3 PM—which was understandable—but there was no acknowledgment of our honeymoon throughout the entire stay. We were offered welcome drinks by the pool while we waited, which was a nice touch, but by 3:30 PM, we still had no update. My husband had to follow up himself, only to be told, “We couldn’t find you,” which felt disorganized and unprofessional. The room itself was clean and offered a nice ocean view, though it was small and somewhat underwhelming. The biggest issue was the location of our room—right next to three “staff only” doors. This created loud, disruptive mornings filled with cleaning equipment being rattled around, footsteps, and the constant sound of doors slamming—making restful sleep nearly impossible. The bed and pillows were also quite uncomfortable. On a more positive note, breakfast was enjoyable, and the breakfast staff were kind and welcoming. The pool area was relaxing, with food and drinks available throughout the day, but the repetitive, overly sentimental Americanized playlist that played nonstop became grating and detracted from the ambiance. Another downside was the hotel’s location. While its seclusion may appeal to some, the 40-euro taxi rides each way into town (standard for Mykonos) left us feeling isolated, especially since we weren’t inclined to spend all day at the hotel. Overall, our needs were met, but the experience felt impersonal and lacked the thoughtful details that had made our earlier stays in Greece so memorable. Had we known what to expect, we likely would have chosen a different hotel to end our honeymoon.

Grace truly impressed us and made our first trip to Greece unforgettable by providing a beautiful room. The view is absolutely incredible—it was so relaxing and cool to watch all the boats sailing in and out of the harbor! The bus stop is 5 min walk down the street so it's a good location on the north side of the island. The major highlights are the a la carte free breakfast every morning made fresh and last but not least the staff. From the moment we were picked up by the hotel shuttle to check out the staff were so nice and helpful. They made the trip really special for me. Thank you Grace!

The stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel overlooks the sea and the marina, offering a breathtaking view both in the morning and evening. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. We were provided with water daily, and all transportation services were arranged for us, along with assistance in choosing activities. The breakfast was very delicious, and the hotel restaurant menu was varied and tasty.|It was a truly relaxing and peaceful vacation.

At Grace hotel you are greeted straightaway with the warm & helpful staff. The restaurant/bar staff are superb, charming, efficient, organised especially Ira, Theodora & Giannis whom we loved. The others also but we didn't note their names... and the maintenance guy plus the housekeeping.||Grace Hotel is wonderful for couples. Situated above a beautiful sandy beach without pebbles.|An amazing pool area with sunbeds/umbrellas and restaurant serving the included fabulous à la carte breakfast...|order from the menu whatever you like...everything freshly prepared or cooked eg. Poched eggs on avocado toast.. high quality orange juice, fresh coffee,.|Open all day till 2200 the food, cocktails etc are superb.|Of course there are local alternatives too.|For us renting a car gave us freedom to go wherever we wanted... restaurants, night clubs like Scorpios and the town of Mykonos which like an upgraded Arabic souk in which you can get lost and then rescued by a local. From designer brands like Champs elysee eg Louis Vuitton to quirky fashion stores.....|Mainly an adult based hotel but there were children who were enjoying the hotel

Almost everything about our stay at Grace Mykonos was close to perfect – the rooms, the staff, and the overall experience. However, one major disappointment was the use of the shuttle service. We requested a transfer to the port, which is only about 1 km from the hotel, and were asked to pay for it.||For a hotel of this standing, charging guests for such a short and simple transfer feels both absurd and petty. This small detail unfortunately left a negative impression at the end of an otherwise wonderful stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Grace Mykonos Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the entire team made me feel so welcome and cared for.||||Special thanks go to Makis, the chef, who creates the most delicious dishes – every meal was a highlight, and the breakfast was simply perfect. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and with so much variety – truly one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had.||||I also want to mention Giannis, Mpampis, Ira, and Theodora – each of them went out of their way to make my stay memorable. Their kindness, professionalism, and warm personalities really stood out.||||At the reception, Vlasis and Constantinos deserve recognition as well. They were incredibly supportive and helpful with every question I had, always greeting me with genuine smiles and making sure I felt at home.||||Housekeeping was also immaculate – everything was spotless, fresh, and perfectly taken care of every single day.||||Special thanks and acknowledgement go to Konstantinos Tsiplakis, the manager who created a great staff around himself making everyone's stay at Grace Mykonos an unforgettable experience.||||I cannot recommend this hotel enough and I truly look forward to returning!

Really great stay. The staff were fantastic thoughout. Will definitely be returning some day.||The location is incredibly convenient with the bus into town leaving from just down the road. Would recommend using it due to the fairly hefty prices that private transportation is fixed at on the island.

Grace Mykonos was anything but a 5-Star resort. Immediately on arrival and checking in, the hostess explained the App the hotel uses. Being young and decently in shape, we thrive off of getting simple workouts in hotel gyms and that being a huge advantage when choosing a booking site. So on the app, it has a “Wellness and Fitness” selection that takes you to their amenities. (Had a photo of a gym). First Red Flag : there was no gym on site. When I asked what the “Fitness” meant, she tried to explain a portion of the spa treatments and through further information she informed us that they have a “sister-hotel” that they allow guests to go workout in for 15€ a person/visit. Second Red Flag : When talking with the hostess during check in, she mentions the options of going into town and provided us with a local Car-Bike Rental Company pamphlet. When we read online that they have a shuttle service that picks up/drops off. When she clarified that the service is only for when guest arrive/depart their stay. For being 1km away from town, each Taxi that they offer to call is 40€ ONE WAY. So, that was a huge let down after spending so much money on rental cars at previous locations. And of course, if Grace replies to this review, they will say the State has “regulations/laws” stating they have to use Taxi services. The only up side is that there is a City Bus that has numerous stops through Mykonos that is 2 € a person/one way! It was of great value when your wanting to see different sites. (KTEL MYKONOS BUS ROUTE) PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Any restaurant in Greece is EXTREMELY different than U.S. You have to become a nuisance right when you get somewhere to get the slightest of service (refill, get your order in, or check out). We arrived on the dot of the restaurant opening at Grace so we could have a nice cup of coffee and start our busy day. Well, being that there are only 2 female servers and one counter host, things can get busy. But at 0800, we finally get seated, order coffee and get handed menus but don’t receive our coffee until 0821 when I stand up, walk over to the counter, and reorder the black coffee with milk/sugar. THIRD RED FLAG : service was God aweful. Continuing on the coffee topic, we requested our second day to not have our room cleaned due to having our 2-week bags thrown everywhere like we do when we’re cramped in two bags. Let me clarify something. Our room came with 4 coffee pods, not unusual at all compared to other places that have the same amount. We drank those 4 pods of espresso during the first day/second morning (requested the room to not be cleaned second day) so we obviously didn’t get anything cleaned/restocked; totally fine. So after a long day we arrived back at our hotel late and I asked the hostess if we could have more coffee pods. She said of course, I will see if the Restaurant has any and will bring them down. It was late, and I understand if they were out that I didn’t have anyone bring them that late at night, no big deal. So the 3rd morning we went to have coffee at the restaurant, started our busy day and came back to a very clean and spotless room with NO coffee pods. We had coffee in town, so we did not request any the 3rd day. 4th day came around and we stayed in/around the hotel for our final day. So around 1400 I called the host to ask for 4 coffee pods (same amount our room had upon check in) and the host said we would be charged for 2 additional ones and are only provided 2 a day. And that we have to request more everyday if we want more, I explained to him that I did request more but did not receive any and that I will not be paying for the same service that the bare minimum room is provided. And then I was given 3 DECAF/ 1 Regular pods, which then forced me to go upstairs and return the pods by hand. 4th RED FLAG: The bare minimum will cost. 5th Red Flag : No one told us about our Departure Breakfast that was included in our stay. Hostess at front desk was very apologetic about no one asking our order to have ready. We survived off poor/overpriced airport granola bars.
