If you're not traveling in an RV, they have you covered (literally). if you book enough in advance, you can claim one of four cabins they have on site. If you are a super budget hippie outdoors person, I saw that they have tent camping too.
My girl and I were on a super mega road trip that brought us to Memphis. I thought it would be cool to check the cabin situation out and, sure enough, it was cool. Fun is what I have to say.
The cabins have the basic modern amenities you would find in any major brand roadside hotel, wifi, cable tv, a fridge and electricity. The park itself was clean and green. When staying in a cabin you have to use the centrally located shower / bathrooms. There is a laundry room which comes in real handy when you've been on and off the road for over a week. You park your car right in front of your cabin so you can look at it while you are relaxing on the swinging bench that is on the porch.
The rate was about $46 per night with tax ! A great deal for what you get and it's so much more of an adventure experience than staying in some chain hotel with NO character. Oh yeah, and if you are planning to do the Graceland tour thing, you are already on the property ! How cool and convenient I thought. Oh, oh, and... you get a 10% discount on a meal at Marlowe's rib joint just down the street, which you must also visit. I will be reviewing that as well.
When in Memphis, camp out at Graceland !
