Grachtenfestival

Great experience to listen to the classic music in the open air. On the canals of Amsterdam. Very well organised and the crowed was friendly.

We were there at August, 18th. We saw a jazz concert near De l'Europe, incredible surroundings. Some lights would make this perfect (:

Not very clear where to go once your in the city ... Prices are also not clear

Op 18 augustus jl., dinsdag, bezochten we het optreden van het Cor Bakker trio met twee jazz-zangeressen in de tuin van het Hilton hotel. Er werd aangekondigd dat deze avond gevuld zou worden met Cole Porter songs. Dat sprak ons zeer aan en wij bestelden de tickets. En ondanks dat het optreden best de moeite waard was waren wij ernstig teleurgesteld dat wij geen enkele Cole Porter song hebben gehoord! Voor ons onbegrijpelijk want zelfs achterop het programmaatje dat we bij de ingang kregen uitgereikt staat het vermeld. Ik weet niet wat u hier verder mee moet, maar ik wilde dit toch even kwijt.

Cultuur in de grachtenregio, prima organisatie, een ruime week muziek door jonge musici.

Had an amazing time at the opening last night (preview of the programme). Wonderfull composition of talented young musicians presenting their masterpieces in the canal setting of Compagnietheather. Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking to expand their cultural tastebuds at one of 90 locations in the city throughout the 10 days the festival takes place.
