Attended a meeting here for 3 days. I can't comment on rooms as I stayed at another hotel as this is one of the most expensive hilton I've encountered. Meeting facilities were fine and the room had a nice view out to the river. Catering was also good.||Poor rating because of day 3. I parked there for the duration, and just like day 1 and day 2 I registered the car at reception on arrival and paid at reception upon leaving. ||A few days later, I received a parking fine, which of course I appealed. I did pay, after all. ||Another couple of weeks later and I get another letter to say my appeal was rejected because of lack of evidence. Seems the credit card receipt from reception proves nothing in their eyes - noting that reception wasn't able to provide a proper receipt for some reason. As "a gesture of good wiil" gave me an extra 14 days to pay the fine. What a joke. Emailed the hotel and no reply. ||As a gesture of good will I've given an extra star for this review.

This is a wonderfully fun hotel set in a gorgeous location with great décor. It's upscale but not pretentious. The rooms are very comfortable, the restaurant has a small but delicious menu and the staff are lovely; everyone from the front desk to the servers to housekeeping when together to make the stay stress-free and enjoyable. The setting is stunning and the views are rave-worthy. If you're lucky you will see cows grazing just across the canal...no other venue offers this. If I'm ever in Cambridge again I will absolutely come back here.

Breakfast buffet and seating was really lovely. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. View of the river beautiful. Amazing location, immediately close to town but 5 min walk so tranquil vibes, instead directly bordering the Fen, with outdoor seating along the river. Historical and inspiring city

A very good experience for a special reason: my daughter forgot her fingerrings in the room when we checked out. The staff was honest and mailed them to us. This means so much to us! It is an honesty of the staff, all coordinated by Luca from reception, not often found in this world. We are extremely grateful and can only say: if that is the spirit of the staff, then which hotel can be better for your stay? Thank staff at the Graduate!

A Reasonable Hotel, But at This Price I Want a Fantastic Hotel.||Good things that we experienced:| -location - close to the city, but an oasis of calm away from the hullabaloo| -riverside garden| -bar, bar staff and bar food| -easy to book on line and edit the reservation| -very friendly and very helpful staff (We met check in desk, bar, housekeeping, breakfast restaurant staff)| -rooms were clean and cool on a hot day| -breakfast buffet had some nice food| -room was good, but not brilliant.|What does not match the price:| -dark and gloomy rooms - dark decor and lots of dim lights (typical of US hotels) - takes a long time to find all the light switches and even then it is a bit gloomy.|-shower pressure OK, but not great|-sink tap warm, but not hot.|-Could not quickly work out how to control the Aircon (seemed to be fixed at 21degC)|-too few staff:| *Just to repeat that the staff they do have are great, but they are just not of them.| *Takes too long to get served at the bar and bar staff seem hassled and over worked.| *The room had only 3 hangers in the wardrobe - not an issue, we just asked room service for some more. When we check out ~20hrs later they had still not arrived. |-garden for the bar had only deckchairs to sit on - not great for drinking from, being sociable in a small group and not great if you are 89years old (why not some folding or stacking chairs?)|-breakfast buffet was good, but selection not as good as might be expected for the price.|

Modern, well-appointed hotel in a good location close to central Cambridge, a punting station, the university, and the astonishing Fitzwilliam museum. Rooms are very well designed, some with balconies. Pleasant and helpful staff. Not inexpensive, but you only live once.
