Graduate by Hilton Cambridge (Cambridge, UK) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Graduate Cambridge occupies one of the city’s most enviable riverfront spots, a short stroll from historic colleges, leafy meadows, and the city’s best museums. The site has hosted hotels since the 1920s, but this iteration, the brand’s first in the UK, brings a design-led update. Inside, punting boats line the lobby wall, heraldic crests frame the reception, and rooms mix Cambridge tradition with rich textures and saturated prints. Every detail, from the views to the decor, leans into the character of Cambridge without ever slipping into cliché." - Tablet Hotels

Fantastic weekend stay , Location is perfect, within walking distance of Cambridge city centre. Staff are really friendly, helpful and professional, room was gorgeous, hotel reception, bar and dining room all beautifully decorated ( very cosy ) with style.. We had the £50 pp taster menu for dinner , wow so much food , all wonderfully cooked ,steak, prawns ,ravioli, hummus ,burrata, tuna , chips ,salad, ice cream and tiramisu. Gym ,pool a bit on the small side but ok if it's not busy. All in all a fantastic time had made so much better by the friendly nature of the staff .. Thank you.

Came here to enjoy this unique Hilton concept. Beautifully decorated rooms. Breakfast area was small but not at all busy 10 am on a weekday. The view from the room was pleasing. Staff were always helpful and efficient. The spa was enticing. The water was a good temperature. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of order, but that didn’t ruin our enjoyment.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. I stayed with my two daughters, and we all enjoyed it very much. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. A special thanks to Julia and Jasmine at reception. they were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the names of the other staff, but everyone was wonderful. The location is great too, just a short walk to the botanical garden. Highly recommended, especially for families.

Fantastic hotel, located on the river. The riverside rooms are great. It was our third stay in this hotel. Overall wonderful stay. Strong points are of course the location, proximity to the centre, the restaurant (really excellent), the friendliness of staff. We did notice though that some of the staff was new and rather inexperienced. Also, I have to confirm other comments with regard to room cleaning. We have had to ask reception quite a few times to remind house cleaning to do our room. Yet, we shall be back, because overall still great!

We stayed in a very spacious room with views of the river, thanks to Luca who made the booking process a pleasure. We particularly enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet - especially the sausages - and spending time relaxing in the pool - which also has views of the river - hot tub, steam room and sauna. And the location of the hotel is so convenient. A great stay.

The location of this hotel can't be beat; it's enough off the main tourist drag that you don't have to worry about crowds, but still very close walking distance to all sights and restaurants of central Cambridge. The food was also good, although I was there for a long stay and on days when I was too tired to go out to eat I found the menu somewhat limited. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful as were some of the front desk staff.||Unfortunately, I feel I have to knock 2 stars for housekeeping given the price point. Service was inconsistent at best and bad at worst. More than once I got back to my room to find that I was left with a very small amount of toilet paper on the roll and no additional roll left in the bathroom for when I ran out, and had to call down for more toilet paper often during my stay. Twice when I called down, I was brought rolls that were covered in black dirt on one side, which made me worried about how the toilet paper was stored and lack of hygiene/sanitary practices. My room was never dusted (thick layers of dust on desk/tv stand every day) and my water/glasses were replaced/cleaned inconsistently. Once I came back and they had serviced the bathroom but didn't make my bed. ||The rooms are comfortable but quite dark, with poor lighting, which I think would be gloomy in the winter months. I'll be making frequent trips to Cambridge over the next two years and had initially planned to stay at the Graduate as it is the best location for my needs, but the poor housekeeping service for the high price point has me looking at other options. Hopefully service can be improved as it is an otherwise good hotel, but the stress of not being able to count on having a clean room overshadowed most of my stay.

A lovely hotel, that is full of interesting decorations as you enter and fascinating photos in the rooms. Rooms are clean and comfortable & the service is very good. Within minutes you're in the town to explore the delights of Cambridge, which is full of life and friendly people. It isn't a cheap hotel but definitely on my recommended list. The only disappointment for me is the pillows in the room, they are too soft and don't provide support for your neck, which did impact on sleep.

We have stayed many times at the Graduate over the years as it has changed names, brands. It is very well located by the river Cam and in the summer its lawn is very pleasant for drinks or lunch and dinner. Bedrooms are small but pleasantly decorated The bedrooms with balconies are worth the extra expense. There isnt much hanging space in the room and the bathrooms have limited space for toiletries.|Our stays have been good to middling over the years, but our recent week there marked a new low. We had to repeatedly ask for our rooms to be cleaned; in one case twice and this was late afternoon.|Our dinner the first night was enjoyeable and good, but the menu is very limited, which wasnt the case previously.|One late morning we ordered virgin maries in the garden. The charge was £ 12 each, which we contested. It was revised lower. Staff are pleasant and quick.|Half way through our stay we received a text message asking us to rate our stay.|We replied that it was a 2 and stated why; we received what seemed like an AI type reply, which essentially repeated our complaint and hoped that our next stay would be more satisfactory. In fact we still had several days to go...The customary card from the hotel managerwelcoming guests with a few flowers or some fruit never came.||Its odd that a hotel in the Hilton group pays so little attention to loyal customers. My wife, under her previous name, has stayed numerous times at the Graduate; jointly five or six times. Two years ago the staff recognised us, and even upgraded us to a better room. This time though we stayed a week we werent greeted by our names even once.
