Graduate by Hilton Cambridge (Cambridge, UK) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Graduate Cambridge occupies one of the city’s most enviable riverfront spots, a short stroll from historic colleges, leafy meadows, and the city’s best museums. The site has hosted hotels since the 1920s, but this iteration, the brand’s first in the UK, brings a design-led update. Inside, punting boats line the lobby wall, heraldic crests frame the reception, and rooms mix Cambridge tradition with rich textures and saturated prints. Every detail, from the views to the decor, leans into the character of Cambridge without ever slipping into cliché." - Tablet Hotels

A lovely hotel, that is full of interesting decorations as you enter and fascinating photos in the rooms. Rooms are clean and comfortable & the service is very good. Within minutes you're in the town to explore the delights of Cambridge, which is full of life and friendly people. It isn't a cheap hotel but definitely on my recommended list. The only disappointment for me is the pillows in the room, they are too soft and don't provide support for your neck, which did impact on sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is an excellent location right by the river and an easy short walk to the centre of Cambridge. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had a king room with partial river view. Although we hadn’t requested or required them, the room featured numerous accessibility adaptations, such as hand/grab rails, emergency cords, a low sink, and a high toilet. However, the shower was surprisingly inaccessible positioned over a deep, slippery bath, which made entry and exit difficult. A walk-in shower would have been far more practical and in keeping with the room’s otherwise accessible design. The hotel felt very themed for international visitors with the used of dark wood furniture and tartan. At times, though, it felt more focused on style than practicality. Parking was easy and plentiful but expensive as you'd expect for central Cambridge.

We have stayed many times at the Graduate over the years as it has changed names, brands. It is very well located by the river Cam and in the summer its lawn is very pleasant for drinks or lunch and dinner. Bedrooms are small but pleasantly decorated The bedrooms with balconies are worth the extra expense. There isnt much hanging space in the room and the bathrooms have limited space for toiletries.|Our stays have been good to middling over the years, but our recent week there marked a new low. We had to repeatedly ask for our rooms to be cleaned; in one case twice and this was late afternoon.|Our dinner the first night was enjoyeable and good, but the menu is very limited, which wasnt the case previously.|One late morning we ordered virgin maries in the garden. The charge was £ 12 each, which we contested. It was revised lower. Staff are pleasant and quick.|Half way through our stay we received a text message asking us to rate our stay.|We replied that it was a 2 and stated why; we received what seemed like an AI type reply, which essentially repeated our complaint and hoped that our next stay would be more satisfactory. In fact we still had several days to go...The customary card from the hotel managerwelcoming guests with a few flowers or some fruit never came.||Its odd that a hotel in the Hilton group pays so little attention to loyal customers. My wife, under her previous name, has stayed numerous times at the Graduate; jointly five or six times. Two years ago the staff recognised us, and even upgraded us to a better room. This time though we stayed a week we werent greeted by our names even once.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. I stayed with my two daughters, and we all enjoyed it very much. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. A special thanks to Julia and Jasmine at reception. they were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the names of the other staff, but everyone was wonderful. The location is great too, just a short walk to the botanical garden. Highly recommended, especially for families.

Wonderful hotel, standard double room very spacious, comfortable and clean. Excellent walk in shower. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room. Staff very friendly. Location a few minutes walk into city centre shops/market and very close to Queens’. Didn’t eat in hotel so can’t comment on food/restaurant. Would happily stay again.

Attended a meeting here for 3 days. I can't comment on rooms as I stayed at another hotel as this is one of the most expensive hilton I've encountered. Meeting facilities were fine and the room had a nice view out to the river. Catering was also good.||Poor rating because of day 3. I parked there for the duration, and just like day 1 and day 2 I registered the car at reception on arrival and paid at reception upon leaving. ||A few days later, I received a parking fine, which of course I appealed. I did pay, after all. ||Another couple of weeks later and I get another letter to say my appeal was rejected because of lack of evidence. Seems the credit card receipt from reception proves nothing in their eyes - noting that reception wasn't able to provide a proper receipt for some reason. As "a gesture of good wiil" gave me an extra 14 days to pay the fine. What a joke. Emailed the hotel and no reply. ||As a gesture of good will I've given an extra star for this review.

This hotel was disappointing. Beautifully done out hotel, friendly staff, Comfirtable large rooms, walkable to all the city centre land marks. However :- The price for staying at this hotel was exceptionally large at £278 per night. We chose to stay 2 nights as we were supposed to be on holiday abroad but I was unwell so I neededotz of rest and we thought a little luxury would be nice but we were surprised to see: 1) our room was not cleaned 2) a fire alarm went off in the middle of the night 3) tried to have a nap at 5.30pm before dinner and a member of staff knocked on the door 3 tkmes which woke me up, it was unsolicited and with the fire alarm meant I am very very tired and not feeling great today 4) We went down to breakfast and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and several items, including apple juice were missing 5) There were quite often long queues at receptikm Overall it was a great shame and this hotel is so near and yet so far. If the service standards are resolved this would be a completely dabous hotel, but I have to say we stayed at the Hampton by hton in Bath earlier j the week for half the price and the service was so much better it was incomparable. I have Never been to a hotel where a room us not cleaned beforest alone at this price tag. We were allowed to not pay for our parking due to these issues but still paid far far far more than that service was worth for the night so be aware!!!!!!!!!!! Such a shame as this hotek could gave it all with better organisation. More staff and better trained staff.

This is a wonderfully fun hotel set in a gorgeous location with great décor. It's upscale but not pretentious. The rooms are very comfortable, the restaurant has a small but delicious menu and the staff are lovely; everyone from the front desk to the servers to housekeeping when together to make the stay stress-free and enjoyable. The setting is stunning and the views are rave-worthy. If you're lucky you will see cows grazing just across the canal...no other venue offers this. If I'm ever in Cambridge again I will absolutely come back here.
