Graduate by Hilton Columbus (Columbus, Ohio) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Columbus, Ohio is much more than a college town, but the Short North Arts District, a mile and change from the Ohio State University campus, certainly qualifies as a college-adjacent neighborhood. (It’s also downtown-adjacent, in the other direction.) This slightly less campus-centered location doesn’t cramp the Graduate Columbus’s style, though — the rooms, for example, are every bit as Buckeyes-focused as you’d expect from an installment of the Graduate brand." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel is a great pick for anyone passing through Columbus, Ohio. With a Shake Shack and a bar right downstairs, you really don’t have to leave the building for anything. The valet service was quick and efficient, and every staff member we interacted with went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. We visited over a holiday weekend and expected some chaos, but everything ran incredibly smoothly—a real testament to how well this place is managed. I especially loved that it’s dog-friendly and that you can easily grab a snack or meal without ever stepping outside. The lobby has plenty of cozy spaces to relax and spend time with family or friends, which made it feel even more welcoming. Overall, a fantastic experience. Five stars all the way—and we’ll definitely be back!

Room was very dark (floors and walls are dark colored) and there’s not enough lighting - definitely providing that genuine “dorm-room feel” I suppose. There’s a bunch of lamps in the room, but they are still not bright enough to illuminate the interior of the closets and desk/hutch). Everything else was great and staff were very friendly. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT LOCATION!

At first, I wasn't feeling the hotel because I didn't understand the decor. After researching, I realized it was representing Ohio State University. It was a clean and relaxing room. It was hard to get up for the conference and had to attend. The staff is very helpful and friendly. What would make the hotel better is updated amenities like vending and ice machines, more update different pictures of the graduates. If you get the two cans of graduate water, drink it. The water was delicious.

I stay at a lot of hotels for work, always some level of Marriott or Hilton. Most are bland, corporate, and mediocre. This hotel is absolutely a treat. It’s very interesting in style with fun decor. And it’s amazingly clean and everything works. That is actually very rare. This time I got upgraded and if you can swing it, it’s definitely nice. When I say clean: I was doing exercises on the floor and looked under some furniture. No dust bunnies at all! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel this clean. I wish I had discovered this hotel sooner because I spent a lot of nights in lousy hotels in Columbus.

Great stay at The Graduate by Hilton in Columbus—beautifully decorated with Ohio State flair, cozy rooms, and a charming vibe. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the Homage Bar was a delightful bonus. Plus, it was located right in the Short North Arts District!

Google
Very noisy location. Even on the 10th floor — the second highest floor — we could hear cars drag racing along High st, late into the night. Had earplugs in but could still hear the street noise. Definitely ask for a room not facing High st. Front desk staff were very standoffish and unfriendly. Barely looked us at us when talking to us. They clearly didn’t want to be working and it showed. The bar where breakfast is served (for an additional cost) was terrible. Microwaved food served by, again, standoffish staff with an attitude. Skip it. We won’t be staying here again. For this price point, a lot of things should be better.

Google
The Graduate Hotel chain, now owned by Hilton, had a brilliant idea years ago: Locate hotels in university towns, then play up university features for all they're worth. Truly great strategy for Columbus, Ohio, home of Ohio State University, with far more than their share of athletic and academic stars to their name. Rooms are meticulously clean and comfortable. Price isn't bad either.

Google
This hotel was not a positive experience. My 11th floor room was infested with fruit flies, and when I told them they said sorry all the rooms are booked and we can’t move you. Soon after I found out that they did have other rooms available. Then once I was approved to move, the next room on the 9th floor also had fruit flies and on top of that it had mosquitos!! I was immediately bitten in my nostril, very weird and annoying. Also, my sheets were dirty and had used items in the bed sheets like used soap (strange) which told me the sheets had not been changed. The staff wasn’t surprised nor apologetic. They said they’d send someone up and were very nonchalant. I gave them the exact time I’d be leaving so they could clean the room and they did not clean the room while I was gone. When I came back and asked has someone handled the room they gave excuses and said your sheets were changed but the room was not cleaned. Well that was untrue, the sheets were not changed. I tried getting the room cleaned 4 times and gave 4 reminders, and the ball was still dropped. Right now I’m sleeping on dirty sheets and fighting mosquitos and fruit flies. They need to handle the insect infestation. Also everything was damp, the towels were damp and the room was incredibly humid. The room while tidy, was far from clean. The furniture was dirty, the OH pillows and blankets are old and dingy. The water kettle for instant coffee was dirty and used. I do not recommend this hotel. The staff while nice were constantly on their cell phones and indifferent which I found to be unprofessional.

Yelp
From the moment my husband and I checked in, we enjoyed it ourselves. We had valet service for our car, which was very convenient. Seeing all the artifacts about our great city all in one place was so awesome. Our room keys were former OSU student ID cards. And the room was like staying in a museum. And you are just steps away from great restaurants, etc. I was in awe of everything I saw and loved every moment of it. Being born and raised here in Columbus, I felt very proud to be staying at The graduate as I helped my husband celebrate his birthday. If you consider yourself a true Buckeye or just love Columbus, I highly recommend staying at this hotel just for the sights alone.

Yelp
Nice and clean hotel, friendly staff, awesome location (and low noise). It does not, however, live up to 4-stars despite being advertised as such. Rooms are pretty small and dark, the onsite dining is almost non-existent - no proper kitchen and, as a result, very few breakfast options most of which are microwaved fast food. Rooms had a unique design flavor - you either love or hate (plaid). No water or snacks in rooms. I expected more from a 4-start hotel to be honest. It's a good hotel, just price to value isn't there.

Yelp
I love this hotel! I live in Columbus and had some family intown and they stayed here. Big Hilton fan and going to have to try the Graduate out for an overnight myself. Spent lots of time in the lobby. Very inviting and clean. Staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Really appreciate the front desk approach and delivery. As for rooms, my cousin loved hers and no complaints. Location is everything here, in the heart of the Short North, and close to downtown.

Yelp
The Graduate has everything I want in a hotel--clean, attractive, comfortable, nice staff, centrally located in a walkable neighborhood. My room was charmingly decorated with a Buckeye spread and prints of famous OSU graduates, including New Yorker James Thurber, who was born in Columbus! The only drawback is its coffee, which is surely the worst I've ever tasted. The nice girl at the front desk was quick to suggest that I run across the High Street to One Line Coffee, which was excellent.

Yelp
Comfortable well kept room with super friendly staff, and daily room service in 2024! I thought daily room service was gone, but this place still does it! Staff are super friendly and take care of things, even follows up. I had a broken fridge, and they had no other rooms nor fridges that day. They got me ice, lots of it in bags, then the next day they replaced the fridge while I was out, I didn't even expect they would do that. Their dish network kinda sucks when there are storms. Their instant inroom Coffee is the most putrid thing I have ever had at a hotel. Bed is comfortable, lots of plush pillows. Rooms aren't the biggest but get things done. Shower is nice, with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. It's weird, shampoo is peppermint, conditioner is cilantro, and body wash is rum. I am not sure why that combo, but it wasn't off putting. Just confusing lol. There is also bar soap for your hands, makeup remover, and nice lotion. fyi my ceiling was exposed concrete, kinda rando. I had plenty of drawers and closet space to put my stuff in. There's an in closet safe with set your own code. Don't get anything from their restaurant, it was super over priced and wasn't that good. Burrito was meh and OJ was just Natalies from a bottle at 6 bucks a glass. You do get free water, in a can in your room, or in plastic bottles if you ask at the desk. They also have liquid creamer in your room, but the front desk only has dry oat creamer. Do not drink the coffee, it is SO bad. They do provide sugar and alternatives in room.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the ambiance of this place. The interior design was so unique, and I loved it! Everything was clean and very comfortable. And as for the location of this hotel, well it was in walking distance of so many things to do. Totally happy with my stay here as far as the hotel itself. What I'm not happy with at all was the extra $40 a day they make you pay to park in their parking lot and have a valet park your car. It's not like it's a big parking lot. It's so small it takes more time having them go and get your vehicle than you actually just walking a few seconds to your automobile and getting in it yourself. Nothing was mentioned about this mandatory parking fee to park at the hotel, or it was made clear in the booking process, so yeah, I'm highly upset about that. Sthough. o whatever price you pay for a room, add $40 on top of that a day for what you'll end up paying. Plus, you know them valets want a tip. It's unnecessary crap just to get more money out of your pocket. I very much liked the hotel though.

Yelp
Boutique hotel with interesting aesthetic. I booked directly on their website. My stay was for one night, king bed. There were more expensive king suite options that looked cool, but ultimately, I went with the cheapest option; I'm glad I did. I'm not sure if my luck is due to a late check in and that's why I got a king suite, but I wasn't mad about it! My suite was at the very end of the hallway next to the stairs and overlooked a little patio. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The aesthetic... plaid. Plaid EVERYWHERE. if you love plaid and OSU, you'll love the décor. If you despise plaid, the room can appear ugly with the overwhelming plaid and red. My only complaint is the lobby smell; smells like Play-Doh. What I loved the most was the free water in the Smeg fridge. The kitchen in the suite was cute. I would've stayed the whole week if my airbnb was refundable and if the graduate honored the conference code discount. All in all, worth the stay.

Yelp
Excellent hotel in an excellent location. I have stayed here for various events in Columbus and have been thrilled with the experience. I recommend it to anyone who is coming into town.

Yelp
What a great hotel, in a great location. This was my first stay and I have to say, I will be looking-up the Graduate hotel locations anywhere I go. The room, the lobby, location....it's all great! Parking is $36 valet each day but you can go in and out. There is also a garage behind the building and it's $30 per day. If you're planning on visiting Columbus and this location is good for you, stay in this hotel. You can thank me after!

Yelp
I had a really great, two-night stay at Graduate Columbus recently. The location is incredible, right on High Street and walkable to bars, restaurant, coffee shops, and stores. The only cons were that I could hear the guests on the floor above me jumping or working out or something early the morning and there weren't any cups in the bathroom for brushing your teeth. Overall, though, these things were definitely not enough to knock off a whole star. Back to the good stuff - the WiFi is free for guests and had a strong connection anywhere in my room, even for streaming services. I loved the decor. It's unique and funky, not at all like you'd find in a cookie-cutter hotel room. The little study nook was both adorable and very useful. The tea kettle to heat up water came in handy since I only drank tea and no coffee during my stay - I was surprised and delighted to find this in the room! I was also very happy to have a mini fridge. You might think this would be an obvious add, but not all hotels include this (I've discovered), so I was grateful to find one here. Every single employee that I came into contact with was helpful, kind, and friendly. As a millennial who basically has a phobia to phone calls, I was so relieved and grateful to have a texting option to communicate with the front desk. They were prompt to answer my questions and I could tell there was an actual person behind the message. I'd certainly recommend Graduate Columbus to friends, family, and fellow Yelpers. And I'd definitely stay here again, given the opportunity.

Yelp
Boutique hotel with university themes. Great chain all over the nation, but this is Columbus' Ohio State University themed location. Located on the ever improving, ever changing Short North strip of High Street, this Graduate has planted itself amidst the hustle and bustle of a very hip part of Ohio's capital. A burned out husk during us Gen Xer's coming of age years, the Short North us now home to dine of central Ohio's trendiest restaurants, bars, and shops. The Graduate gives you a safe, tidy, and beautiful base of operations to explore. The Buckeye factor is high here, so hopefully you enjoy that. Even if you don't, it's still a great hotel. With limited parking and a busy frontage, the rear area passenger drop off/unloading area can be clutter, but that's just because others have discovered this gem. Get on the mailing list, and stay often. It's a great place to stay and an even better place to return to.

Yelp
After many years of blowing past Columbus, OH as I ran across interstate 70, I finally had the opportunity to stop for a couple of nights to check out life in a buckeye city. Upon the recommendation of a friend on suitable lodging, I booked myself into the Columbus graduate hotel on N High street. I first missed then was amused at the connection between the hotel and the university. Once I entered my room i was awash with buckeye Paraphernalia that would make you think you were once again a collegiate, only this time, a buckeye. The hotel was beautifully decorated with buckeye as far as the eye can see. The staff, was most courteous and helpful to my needs and requests. Valet parking attendants were helpful, as it was kinda chilly mornings there, it was nice to step into the car already warm. Hopefully, their in-house restaurant will be back operational soon, a victim of the corona shutdown. The room, even adorned in buckeye, was excellent, and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in outside of five star hotels All in all, Columbus graduate earned its five stars from me, perhaps 6.

Yelp
This is one of my go to chains. I know I'm going to get a thoughtfully designed space and a good bar. The Graduate's MO is to buy old buildings and then slightly rehab them. Meaning they still fell old. The rehab is dine with taste and inexpensive materials. Not to discuss The Graduate as a chain but... they are banking on you not looking too closely. The staff at The Graduate Columbus, along with the other Graduate Hotels I've stayed at, are extremely friendly, and do their best to please you, but have not been trained in four or five star hospitality. What they do have going for them is they are always in the best locations. This specific graduate hotel is a seven minute walk to the convention center and about a 10 minute walk to Ohio State University. It's a block away from Jennie's famous ice cream and a ton of really cool boutiques. Because the hotel is an old building it has a slightly musty scent and our shower smelt like mildew. The housekeeping doesn't do a great job. They left hair on the bathroom floor each time they cleaned, and we found almonds from a stay long before us under the desk. Another plus is the hotel enters into Shake Shack for late night milkshakes. And the The Trophy Room is downstairs for a cool bar and grab and go bites that are more than decent. They get an A for effort, and I will definitely stay with him again. I've heard they're starting a loyalty program.

Yelp
I can not wait to come back!! I read some of the negative reviews and I was a little nervous of what to expect. the bed was so comfortable and the pillows were dreamy... I actually tried to take the pillow cases off to see if I could find out what they were to buy them . the decor is perfectly imagined up from the moment you walk in the door. we were there in a Sunday night and it was quiet.

Yelp
I stayed at the Graduate Columbus on a number of occasions and never had a negative experience until this most recent stay at the end of July. Our king suite was not cleaned, had hair and debris on the floor, and there was mold on the soap holder and a small dead bug in the bathroom. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff who were mortified, but said nothing else to address this matter. When I was checking out, I was asked about my stay and I responded that it was less than expected and was subsequently dismissed and told of what my charges were. I noted my experience on their internal survey and a manager promptly reached out. We had a discussion about the service industry and the lack of experienced staff and I explained I understood and am not trying to give anyone a hard time, but the above mentioned was not acceptable. The manager asked me what can they do make things better. I explained that I was not sure, but instead of offering anything, she just asked me to give them another try and to let her know the next time that I would be visiting. At one time this would have been a five star rating, but I cannot bring myself to even bring it up to a two.

Yelp
Stayed here while attending a wedding in Columbus. You're right in the middle of town so everything is walking distance and attached is a cute dive like bar. Wonderful service overall at the hotel & bar. Will definitely be staying here again! Vibes were immaculate!

Yelp
Kitschy hotel chain in college towns. Decor is completely Columbus-centric and expectedly so. Room was very small and snug. Great pour over coffee setup. Great location in downtown with easy access to many restaurants nearby. Small gym and the two treadmills were out of order. That meant using the balance ball and weighted walking lunges. =)

Yelp
Do not go here! This is an awful place! The rooms are like broom closets, and they overcharge! Do not believe the other reviews. Awful experience!

Yelp
How many of you suffered from the post-christmas blues? You're happy that the hustle and bustle is over but absolutely bored to tears. So we grabbed the laptop and logged into Priceline to see what was available. Perhaps it was the airline fiasco (tons of cancellations) or maybe the sub zero temperatures but hotel rates were awesomely LOW! After a few clicks we scored a room at The Graduate in the heart of the Fabulous Short North district. We were armed with parking and restaurant options (thanks Yelp) so we already knew that we were facing $35 per night valet parking. Still, that didn't sting as badly when you consider that we enjoyed UNLIMITED exit and entry for our entire stay. There are so many food options that it would be impossible to list all that are within walking distance of the hotel. However, I highly recommend EL SEGUNDO for happy hour drinks and appetizers! But let's get to the hotel itself...FABULOUS. If you google this location you will see that EVERYONE raves about the staff- everyone is correct! The staff is amazingly engaging and friendly. Our room was well-appointed, clean and eclectically designed. Call me crazy but the complimentary six pack of WATER was right on! Comfy bed and the pillows were awesome too! There is one superstar bright light who made our trip special...ABIGAIL! If you cloned her and staffed all customer-facing positions the world would be a much better and efficient place! Kudos to The Graduate HR department- you picked a winner! Love you Abigail! Do yourself a favor and book a stay at The Graduate...at any rate possible!

Yelp
Pros: Really charming boutique style hotel that gives you the feel and spirit of Columbus, Ohio. Staff overall was friendly and great location Cons: The internet is literally the worst internet service I have ever had a hotel. It will knock you off being online every 5 minutes. No room service and the cafe downstairs is close for 5 hours in the middle of the day. (that just seems weird lol)

Yelp
Lovely stay for a work event. Super fun and vibrant location, and I thoroughly enjoyed my cozy room and luxurious bed. The desk was perfect for working, and the bathroom was roomy (with great product too!). Every staff member was beyond friendly from the front desk to valets to the cleaning crew. Such a fantastic chain, I will now plan a trip to my alma mater in Tucson and stay again. Thanks to everyone at the Graduate Columbus for making my stay top notch. I hope to return and explore more of Columbus- what a wonderful city. Cheers.

Yelp
The wife and planned a quick get away and decided to stop here for a the night on 2/20/22. I was pleasantly surprised with how much this location has to offer. The amount of food and entertainment by this hotel is amazing and convenient. The rooms were super clean and smelled amazing. The staff was top tier. They answered all the questions we needed from food recommendations to places to visit. We plan on staying here every time with visit Columbus (which we visit once a year). This place is 10 minutes from high banks distillery and Watershed distillery. I recommend both places as a place to visit and eat. I also Recommend placing reservations for these places also.

Yelp
Love Love staying here. Most perfect location for a great night out, grab drinks and drink. LOCATION LOCATION!! The staff are super accommodating and very nice!! Not to mention the lobby is decorated like a dorm as well as the rooms themselves! You might come see for yourself!!

Yelp
What a nice surprise, staying at this hotel. I travel a lot for work. This place was amazing. It feels like an ivy league old time college room. The hall reminds me of Dead Poet Society. The room are so comfortable, you forget you are in a hotel at all. Something that is perfect when you pretty much live in hotel. The staff was more than accommodating and very nice. I will all my hotel stay were like this place. Can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
I loved this hotel! The lobby was clean and beautifully decorated. The staff at the front desk were all so friendly and helpful. Not only are they dog friendly, they loved having my dog as a guest! They even gave her a treat bag! The room itself was small, but the bathroom was a decent size. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and I got a really great rate for staying during the week. The location is perfect! Walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. On-site valet parking for $30 a night. Definitely enjoyed my stay and I would stay again!

Yelp
Stayed here for a night passing through to Hocking Hills for a family getaway. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. The vibe, the friendly staff, the city itself. Maybe it's that we haven't been away in over a year - and this destination was a delight for our eyes, maybe it's that after a day of driving we landed here and were immediately welcomed and put at ease. This city is vibrant and has so much to offer. We're making notes for a return trip - hopefully soon! Visit German Village and walk around, maybe rent a couple scooters and ride the cobble stone streets in 17 degrees and laugh and laugh and laugh. Stop in at Katzinger's Deli for lunch, then Winan's coffee and chocolate for an espresso and treat. Order takeout and eat at the community tables in the hotel lobby and remember what it's like to be together, but still apart.

Yelp
We just checked out. Such an amazing hotel. It's in the heart of the action including being in the same building as Shake Shack. It's down a block from a historic neighborhood and park. It's decorated early nicely. We had the kind suite and it's large and nice. It has a hallway when you walk in that leads you to a kitchen area, table and chairs, large pull out couch with tv and on the other side of the large entertainment center there's a king bed/bedroom and then a very large marble bathroom. I wish I had stayed longer, but we were just passing through. Highly recommend this fun establishment. Very cool

Yelp
This is my 2nd Graduate property I have stayed at. The first one being in Berkeley, CA. I actually enjoyed this stay, compared to the other. The staff was nice. Room was super comfortable. Internet worked great. Great location. Shower was excellent. This is a great property.

Yelp
On a weekend trip to our old home, my husband and I utilized hotwire to book a hotel in the Short North. The Graduate was where we ended up and it was great. Parking with the valet is $30/night and there are several other parking options nearby (garages, meters and street - but be careful for permit areas). From the minute you walk in, you know you are in OSU country with scarlet and gray everywhere. The hotel is decorated very tastefully with tons of Ohio-isms throughout. There is a coffee shop with a full bar attached with easy access from the lobby and also a Shake-Shack attached (on the other side of the lobby). The staff is professional and friendly. The room keys present student ID cards of famous alumni. The rooms are nicely setup, very comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The bathroom is spacious and has nice toiletries. Each room is equipped with a mini fridge. A friend was staying in a suite which was very comparable to the basic king room with the exception of an additionally seating area and mini kitchen with full (classic style) fridge. The location is PERFECT. Right in the middle of the short north strip with easy access to boutique shops, restaurants, bars and galleries. I would recommend staying here and would stay again when visiting.

Yelp
check in only after 4:00 pm $17.36 no refundable deposit . big hassle would not recommend staying here unless you want to hang out in the the lobby all day

Yelp
Booked a last minute stay here after the Arnold Expo was cancelled and half of our group decided to skip the trip to Columbus. I had never heard of this chain before but it's a cute idea: kitschy boutique hotel built around sports memorabilia of whatever city it's located in. Service: Every employee we met here was friendly. Gilad checked us in and explained the concept and amenities to us, super friendly and professional. Housekeeping and valet were also very friendly. Rooms: Decked out in unique Ohio State University things. On the smaller side, had a minifridge but no coffee maker. Shower is nice and has good water pressure which is a must for me. Bed was comfortable and I slept like a rock. Amenities: The free coffee and fries are a nice touch! My biggest gripe with the place was the fitness center. When I walked in, I was excited to see the Jacob's Ladder.. but what's the deal with those treadmills? I wished for a basic treadmill vs whatever you call that thing that's in there. There is also a rower and two pelotons. You can tell they are trying to be high end but it was missing the basics. Location: Great location, close to the convention center and lots of coffee shops, shopping, and restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again just for that along.

Yelp
We decided to make a weekend trip out to Columbus and The Graduate hotel caught our attention mainly because of it's perfect location, and we loved the hotel theme. Checking in was a breeze, valet was super simple and conveniently located right out back so it was easy to get things from the car as needed. The staff was absolutely wonderful and did everything they could to accommodate us and our dog! Checking in, they gave us a little dog treat bag - this was very appreciated, especially since it was non-chicken based treats which was extra thoughtful! The room was very nicely decorated - definitely fits the theme of the college-dorm aesthetic, similar to the lobby. The room was small, but it had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The bathroom was a good size too. The room features a mini fridge and a few closets for storage, ice is in the main lobby - just need to ask someone for it. There's no breakfast (as I believe this is because their attached restaurant/cafe is currently closed), but there is coffee in the lobby every morning. There's an attached Shake Shack that's super convenient and the location is perfect if you want to experience all that Columbus has to offer! It's within walking distance to basically everything on N High St, close to North Market, and many other things to see and do! Everyone we encountered during our stay took COVID-safety precautions - all masked properly, hand sanitizer available on every floor. $35 pet fee/night valet parking is $30-35 with in-and-out privileges?

Yelp
This place is super cute!! I can't even tell you how much I love this hotel. This hotel is not like anything I've been to before and I've been to many hotels all over the place. The staff was nice and it's in a great area if you like to shop and or eat. The decor was great. And just the little things here and there was awesome. They have a row machine and a ladder machine in the gym which is not normal and just refreshing to have something new. They have board games and a big connect 4. The key cards are super cute along with the so not disturb hangers. Seriously there is so much more I liked. The one thing that scared me to death was the chair when you first walk into the room. I got in after midnight and so it's dark and well it looks like there is someone in the chair in your room. I almost screamed and my coworkers the next day after talking had the same issue. I will definitely be back. Such a cute place!!

Yelp
I am on a Thanksgiving road trip, and I had to detour a few hours to pick up my husband who was also visiting family, which added a night to my stay. So, I planned my route and set on to find a hotel I would both be able to have my cat and not be murdered (I enjoy an adventure and several of my coworkers outright stopped me prior to booking a few roadside motels). Thankfully, I found the graduate. I got there right before midnight, and staff quickly got me situated so I could rest in my room. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay, with shampoo and body wash in the showers. My cat and I were very happy to find a quiet respite. I would love if they had room service available, but maybe soon! Overall I would recommend for a nice overnight!

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. The location is fantastic and you can walk to so many shops in different restaurants. The lobby is beautiful I love decoration and the Decour throughout the rooms and the hotel. The rooms I did not think were too small but my husband dead. However it did not bother me and two people fit comfortably in the room. I particularly liked how cozy it seemed and the shower. There's definitely a lot of attention to detail which I loved. There is a coffee pour over system in the room and if you need ice you need to go downstairs to the front desk. Also pro tip here if you like me need to have your water at all times the water in the room is not complementary but if you go to the second floor fitness center they have a refilling water station.

Yelp
I didn't get to stay at The Graduate but after my phone call with them, I will DEFINITELY stay here the next time I am in Columbus. I had a non refundable reservation for a conference session I planned to attend at OSU. Thanks to COVID-19 that training was canceled. Knowing my reservation couldn't be changed I still called to let them know I could not make it...and because of the whole COVID-19 situation they graciously reversed the charges and cancelled my reservation. First class customer service!

Yelp
What a great place! In the middle of a great neighborhood with a lot of activity. Great and friendly staff. I like the theme, a bit too "kitschy" perhaps, but a lot of fun. I mean I am from Ohio, and how can you not like a Ohio themed hotel? I can't believe that I actually had John Glenn crocheted onto my chair in my room! Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice. I especially liked the coffee shop on the first floor. Really good coffee. I will be back.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay in Graduate Columbus. It was very clean, bed was comfortable. Room was kind of small. No ice maker on floors or lobby so you have to ask front desk for a bag of ice.

Yelp
This is the second Graduate location we have stayed at and we'll definitely be back. Can't beat the location and it's such a fun design throughout the whole hotel. Bonus points for the amazing smelling toiletries.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice hotel. It has an OSU theme which is cool. Each key card has one of the old OSU players face on it (which is one of the coolest key cards I've seen). The valet is $33 a night, the handlers are very nice and they have a cool system where you can text to have you car ready for you. The rooms are small and intimate. The décor is very Ohio lol The bathrooms are amazing. I loved the shower, it was cool because the knob for the shower is on the opposite side of the faucet (which is nice so you don't have to get your hands wet to turn on the shower). Everything in the room was spotless and smelled fresh. The only call out I have is the ceilings are just concrete which is kind of odd. Btu other than that I enjoyed my stay. It is in the prefect location where you can walk around The Short North and go shopping/out to eat. The view from the 8th floor is also beautiful! There is also a shared microwave on each floor.

Yelp
The Graduate Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the Short North entertainment district. The Graduate is a part of a chain of upscale hotels based in university cities across the country. The hotel is adorned with Ohio State historical photos and items. Paying homage to some of Ohio's greatest citizens- with special tribute to great Ohio State University athletic legends. The main floor has two businesses attached to the property- the south is the famous Shake Shack and to the north side Poindexter Cafe (a coffee/breakfast sandwich themed shop operating in the morning and early part of the day and then hotel bar in the evening). The second floor is dedicated to event/meeting space and a second floor "rooftop" area. The staff was welcoming, pleasant and very helpful. They truly seemed excited about working in this unique hotel. The rooms are well worth the trip. My wife and I live in Columbus, but made a reservation last night to simply investigate the property. We were visiting Ann Arbor and saw their property, but I couldn't stomach staying in a Xichigan themed space. Having experienced this property, I can assure you this will be a must stay spot!

Yelp
Rooms are small and dark. I paid $150 for a night. There was no continental breakfast. Everything in the hotel was overpriced. Everything around the hotel was overpriced. $35/night to valet your car, pay for the parking garage or pay on the street are your options. Ask for ice and they will give you a small bag of ice at the desk. Ran out of coffee cups at front desk. Overall, the hotel was clean and decorated neat if you are an Ohio State fan. However, if I'm gonna pay $150/night, I expect a lot more for my money.

Yelp
Our stay was great. Everyone wore masks and the lobby was never busy. I do wish more was open (the poindexter coffee shop was closed). Overall the hotel is very cool being osu themed, and we loved that we could bring our dog for a small fee! We walked to Bakersfield and Pint House that night. The location is unbeatable.

Yelp
Hotel is adorable with a fun location in the Short North and makes a lot of sense if you're an OSU fan, if you're not you will learn to be one . Locals are super friendly and so were the travelers at the hotel. Disappointed that there were absolutely no amenities down to the free bikes and coffee makers. (Had an iron so it seemed silly to not have a coffee maker in the room).

Yelp
I spent a few days at the Graduate staycation during COVID-19. While some of the amenities were on pause, the staff still provided outstanding service. One of the best parts of the hotel is the shake shack that's attached. After ordering a milkshake one night and discovering I didn't get a straw, i called down to the hotel front desk to ask if they had any. What felt like 30 seconds later, someone knocked on my door with two straws. That's the kind of service you can always expect from these fine folks. Can't recommend them enough!

Yelp
What an amazing hotel! Beautiful, wonderful service and right in the heart of Columbus. I highly recommend for cleanliness, comfort, and walking distance to several great establishments.

Yelp
Stayed here for a bachelorette party! The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We booked a king suite and a double room. The suite was very spacious and worked well for hanging out and playing games. Love how funky this place was decorated. Super walkable to tons of places. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Loved this hotel! The ambiance and decor is so fun and interesting. Looking forward to visiting college campuses this upcoming year with my HS Senior & hoping there is a Graduate to stay in! Location here is superb-with very walkable restaurants, shops, and bars. Perfect spot for a night away with friends. The staff here are so friendly, helpful, and genuine. Will be back!
