The entire management team at this hotel should be fired. Besides the ridiculous price gouging, there are so many areas they failed during a graduation weekend. I think the Graduate brand is intended to focus on supporting universities and the students families. This place falls way short.
They wouldn't allow me to cancel my second night without documentation that I was deploying for disaster support. Who the hell are they to ask for documentation for someone supporting a disaster? Additionally, they said they had a 60 day cancellation policy, which was NOWHERE in my confirmation. I can prove it to you.
Despite the restaurant opening at 7:00, by 7:25 there was no coffee, and the rooms only had instant coffee.
This might not mean much to you, but for GRADUATION WEEKEND at Penn State they didn't have blue and white pancakes! The pancakes have blueberries and white chocolate chips.... How hard is it to be prepared for family members coming to celebrate their child's graduation on not have blueberries and white chocolate chips?
I usually stay at Marriott and I always get free bottles of water, however you charged me $6, on top of a $1,400 room charge.
The iron was rusted and ruined my wife's white pants.
Despite a recent extensive renovation, you don't have ice machines on every floor. For $1,400/night?? My wife went down a floor to get ice then was locked out trying to get back to our floor.
There are more grievances, but hopefully you get the idea. If this chain is intended to focus on university families, it should do just that. Especially for graduation weekend. Again, complete failure.
Absolutely disgusting. I'm a Hilton Honors member. I expected more. I paid less for a butler suite private bungalow at a Sandals and got 1,000% better service.
I'm a disabled combat veteran. I just wanted to come have a great weekend celebrating my son being the third generation in my family graduating from Penn State, but our stay at this hotel ruined it.
It brings shame on the Hilton family.
