Graduate by Hilton State College (State College, Pennsylvania) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The central Pennsylvanian town of State College is, sensibly enough, the home of Penn State University, and Graduate State College is the local branch of the Graduate hotel group, whose boutique hotels reliably take their inspiration from the campuses they serve, and present to guests an idealized version of the collegiate life. In this case, they took the old-fashioned Atherton Hotel, set two blocks from Penn State’s expansive campus, and transformed it into a contemporary boutique hotel — one that’s dressed in Nittany Lions livery and filled to the brim with subtle and not-so-subtle references to the university’s history and identity." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed here for gradation with my family! So lovely . The rooms were so tailored to Penn state it was so cool for my family. Loved the wallpaper, furniture, and general vibe for graduation. Bradley the manager was so kind to us and made my veteran grandfather feel so appreciated! I would never stay at another hotel here. I will tell all of my family who want to visit for event weekends (I have a lot of family who go here) to book early here!

I stayed here for a conference & everything was great. HUGE thank you to Gage!!!! He was our bartender the first night we were there, gave us recommendations of where to go for dinner, and was SO attentive during the whole 3 day conference. He deserves a raise. Such great energy & you can tell he’s a great worker. Thank you Gage!

Google
This was a great hotel for our quick one night at Penn State to drop off our son at wrestling camp. Check-in was quick and easy. The parking garage is located right under the hotel at $15 a night. Restaurant and bar inside. The theming was awesome! WE loved our room, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the general manager came over to speak with us for a while at breakfast- very nice gentleman. We will be back next year for camp!

It's a very nice hotel overall! The elevators are a little sketchy with one having a record of getting stuck and the wifi is pretty slow. Overall though, the staff and rooms are very nice and it's a great location close to Penn State's campus.

Rating: ⭐⭐ (2 out of 5 stars) Disappointed Stay – Not the Hilton Standard I’m Used To I drive over 3,500 miles per month and stay exclusively at Hilton properties, so I’ve come to expect a certain level of consistency. Unfortunately, my stay at Graduate by Hilton in State College fell short. • The elevator wasn’t working properly. You had to press the down button, get inside, then hit the up button—just to go up. • The front desk staff (specifically one young woman) seemed disinterested and unwelcoming. She didn’t say anything rude, but her attitude made it feel like guests were a burden. • The hallways and room had a strong, unpleasant odor—like sweaty gym clothes. The carpet was worn and stained both inside and outside the room. • The air conditioner wouldn’t cool below 74°, and it was incredibly loud all night. • In the parking garage, I found broken glass and trash. I had to clear the glass from parking spots with my foot just to park safely. This location doesn’t live up to the Hilton name. Disappointed overall. I hope management steps in to address these issues soon.

Google
Rooms were adequate with fitting decor that matched the vibe of PSU which I thought was unique. Trophy Room bar had a good drink selection. The bed was comfortable. However, one major issue is the lack of emergency lighting or backup power. There was a severe thunderstorm which knocked out power to the entire downtown State College area, which to be clear is no fault of the hotel. However, there is absolutely ZERO emergency lighting in the lobby, hallways or stairwells which is extremely dangerous in the event of a power outage or fire and is likely in violation of building code.

Google
What can you say about a hotel that calls you at 3:30pm and tells you that you have to come clean your things out of your room because they messed up your reservation and have no rooms for you? Oh wait, they had a room at more than double the price. Yes, they messed up my reservation then wanted me to pay more to stay there. The manager did NOTHING.

Our room in July 2025 was infested with ants, ants were crawling all over the carpet, on the tables, got in our bags with clothes so now we will be bringing them home to infest our house with them! We asked housekeeping to help with the ants issue and they threw away our newly purchased grocery bags gat we left on the couch while stepped out from the room!! Three clear grocery bags with jars, sealed packages, sealed candy worth $200 neatly left on the couch!! Will never return to this place. Stay away from Graduate hotel in State College!!

Yelp
Quite enjoyable stay. First, the Hilton Honors system allowed us to choose our room the day prior, which for me, a disaster junkie, always desire a room next to the fire escape. The room also had very nice views of the street and neighborhood. Arrival was uneventful. The desk clerks were courteous and efficient. I would note that this hotel's floor concept is at the European model, meaning the first floor is not where the lobby happens to be, but it is the entrance to the garage. Hotel's decor was fairly old-school, pun intended. The wallpaper is like an old library, with college shields on each door. Quite evoking of the nature of State College. Rooms were nicely decorated, but my only reason for not 5 stars is the room was a bit musty, apparently they kept the air conditioning off during summer days. Not a problem, we dialed down the temperature appropriately.... The showers have all the necessary accouterments and have been recently remodeled. Went for coffee downstairs and ordered a specialty coffee; Mark was attending downstairs and we ended up on a nice conversation about 70s and 80s music. Everyone in the hotel staff is quite friendly. Overall quite enjoyable experience.

Yelp
The Graduate was a 3.5 for me but alas I have to choose 3 or 4, so I'm going with a 3. My daughter and I flew to State College for her audition at Penn State. We'd hoped to have found a closer hotel but since it was last minute this one made the most since budget/location wise. We arrived late due to the long flight and travel from CA to PA. Walking up they were doing some construction and it wasn't apparent where to go. It was nearly midnight at that time. We found our way around to a side door and it was locked. A front counter person came and let us in. They were friendly enough and the room was a decent size. Nothing fancy. A bit dated. Definitely not the same level of 'niceness' as you'd find in LA for around the same budget. Wasn't looking for fancy but it just felt a bit old. Due to the location, we took Ubers back and forth to Penn State and to go out to eat as nothing (other than a gas station and brewery were in somewhat of walking distance in the wet cold weather). Ubers ended up costing hundreds more over the few days so we could have put that towards a hotel next to Penn State. Oh well. They were renovating an on-location restaurant - Italian - I think. And they had a room for breakfast but it was a standard meeting room not really a breakfast room. We went in thinking it was included (missing the small note posted outside) and got charged way too much for a very mediocre breakfast worth about 1/5th what I paid. Overall, it could have been a 4 if breakfast was clear. I don't mind paying if I have the choice and realized that. Would have rather gone out to eat. And, I almost forgot they didn't ice the walkway and my daughter and I nearly fell coming in. As we came the counter the lady said whoa that was close. The guy behind me did the same and came in and asked if she had salt he could put down as he almost fell too. Seems that's about how they run things. Okay, just not great. Wouldn't be hard to make it a solid 4 but would need a bit to be a 5 in my book. If we go back I'll look elsewhere.

Yelp
The entire management team at this hotel should be fired. Besides the ridiculous price gouging, there are so many areas they failed during a graduation weekend. I think the Graduate brand is intended to focus on supporting universities and the students families. This place falls way short. They wouldn't allow me to cancel my second night without documentation that I was deploying for disaster support. Who the hell are they to ask for documentation for someone supporting a disaster? Additionally, they said they had a 60 day cancellation policy, which was NOWHERE in my confirmation. I can prove it to you. Despite the restaurant opening at 7:00, by 7:25 there was no coffee, and the rooms only had instant coffee. This might not mean much to you, but for GRADUATION WEEKEND at Penn State they didn't have blue and white pancakes! The pancakes have blueberries and white chocolate chips.... How hard is it to be prepared for family members coming to celebrate their child's graduation on not have blueberries and white chocolate chips? I usually stay at Marriott and I always get free bottles of water, however you charged me $6, on top of a $1,400 room charge. The iron was rusted and ruined my wife's white pants. Despite a recent extensive renovation, you don't have ice machines on every floor. For $1,400/night?? My wife went down a floor to get ice then was locked out trying to get back to our floor. There are more grievances, but hopefully you get the idea. If this chain is intended to focus on university families, it should do just that. Especially for graduation weekend. Again, complete failure. Absolutely disgusting. I'm a Hilton Honors member. I expected more. I paid less for a butler suite private bungalow at a Sandals and got 1,000% better service. I'm a disabled combat veteran. I just wanted to come have a great weekend celebrating my son being the third generation in my family graduating from Penn State, but our stay at this hotel ruined it. It brings shame on the Hilton family.

Yelp
Cool rehabilitated hotel downtown! Maybe I'm too old to stay here, but the book/library shelf wallpaper in the hallways was a bit disconcerting The theme is unique. The rooms clean and comfortable and the location perfect to reach the downtown restaurants and bars.

Yelp
Very nice hotel I had the pleasure of staying at on a work trip for a conference in the hotel. Staff was nice and the room was pretty clean. Bathroom was very nice and much more modern than other hotels. Complimentary cans of water in the fridge was nice. Close proximity to lots of happenings downtown. Hotel bar was pretty pricey. I would love to stay here again next time I'm in SC.

Yelp
I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in State College. I went there as part of a wedding so essentially someone chose this hotel for me but I was very pleased. Ample and easy parking..check in a breeze and super friendly guy at the check in. Every staff member I encountered was nicer than the next. The room...clean and spacious. The bathroom...big with plenty of counter space for your stuff. The beds...comfy and cozy. Food was nice at the wedding and breakfast as well. Enjoyed my stay.

Yelp
Friendly staff, eclectic decor , comfortable stay . Only thing is cleanliness. I'll post pics. Will return though

Yelp
Oh how I love the design of this hotel! With it being in a college town - it definitely gives a college feel. When you arrive, there's a lot of parking options - from the street to a garage. With me catching a shuttle (which arrives at the airport every :15 & :45 of the hour) it pulled up to the entry doors inside the garage and there was a fireplace going. That was the beginning of the dope ambiance - as cold as it was that heat was appreciated. Once inside and you're at the elevator to check-in on the lobby floor which is Floor 2, you have to play with the elevator a little because despite the cool renovations, the elevator is a little outdated. You'll press the floor you're on, the floor 2 - weird, I know but it works :) Option check-in, you'll receive your room key which is just like a college ID - so creative, right! Oh - the restaurant is located right behind the check-in desk and they close at 10pm. I arrived at 9:20ish-pm so needless to say, I had to hurry so I could grab fries and my fave, a lemon drop martini! But I was so amazed when I got on the elevator and the doors open to my floor! The wallpaper looks like a ceiling to floor library! Ahhhhhh so lovely! I always use the Do Not Disturb sign during hotel stays and even that was super cool! It says "studying" - again, how cool! The room was really chill and cool! A bench when you first walk in for you to sit or either place your luggage. The bathroom was very bright and I liked the black and white aesthetics - the wallpaper had black outlined ice cream cones against the white wall ... interesting, ice cream cones in a bathroom. Either way, great look to me! The resting area had a comfy bed - there was an old school telephone (and works!) a nice chair to sit and write at - complimented with a small table to slide over and use. There was also a microwave in the room, which I love because what about those odd times during the evening when you don't feel like leaving your room ... Oh let me add - the hotel staff was super friendly! I didn't need anything but every encounter was pleasant! I really enjoyed my overnight stay there - My next flight to work wasn't until 4pm so I had plenty of time to explore the city - which I post another review on that soon! I'm looking forward to another stop there again! And when you visit, take the time to walk around the hotel and enjoy the little small things they offer. OH - one more thing - for real this time! There are two lounging areas right across from the elevators. They offer plenty of seating and they offer games you can play like Jenga, etc. they also have a set of two chairs that is paired with table tops equipped for chess - another great offering! Clearly you can tell I enjoyed my stay here - and I hope you do, too!

Yelp
Graduate Hotel is a unique hotel! There isn't much offered within the hotel beside a library and cafe area (hints the 4 stars) but the area is surround by Penn State Universities town. Everything you may need is in the surrounding area! When school is out the town is not as vibrant but very relaxed. The rooms are clean with a country chic maximalism look. There's a big lamp statue of Penn States mascot the Nittany Lion (real size). I've heard from multiple people that it has scared them when waking up in the middle of the night or in the morning. Overall staff is phenomenal and I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
A mostly good experience, however, a couple fault aspects of the room we were placed in. The shower gel nozzle broke, and one of the side tables was poorly reattached to the wall, leaving it slanted and loose. Overall, a pleasant experience as always at The Graduate!

Yelp
This was my first stay in this hotel. As far as décor goes, this is one of the more unique hotels I've stayed, but in a good way. You literally feel like you could be in a University library. The wallpaper on the way to my room was all books on shelves. The huge lion lamp in the room was kind of cool. The bed was comfy and the room had a mini fridge and coffee maker. It was clean and well taken care of. Staff was friendly. Parking is under the hotel and costs $12 per night (added to your bill) with in and out privileges. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants/bars. We would stay here again.

Yelp
The most incredible venue for a wedding. We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding (rehearsal, ceremony & reception) at the Graduate Hotel. The atmosphere, staff and venue were absolutely perfect. Both Jessica and Mark went above and beyond to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. And the food was to die for! Every step of the wedding planning process, Jessica worked with us to make sure our wedding day so special and everything we hoped it to be. On the day of, Mark went above and beyond to carry out our vision and make it perfect. Their hospitality was more than anyone could have asked for and we will forever recommend this venue to all.

Yelp
It was with great anticipation that I booked a multi day stay at the Graduate. I was not disappointed by the location, quality of room or the attentiveness of staff (who did all they could to create a great experience). The room had a decor more like a Parisian era bedroom with a variety of accent pieces and patterned carpeting. I got a kick out of the Nittany Lion lamp and old style phone. It was unique and different from any other hotel I have stayed in. The bathroom was spacious with ample water pressure (no fan), but neat decor with ice cream wallpaper and points for a soft close toilet seat...first hotel I have seen that have them and a welcome addition. Now points are taken away for no coffee maker in room (electric tea pot instead), no clock radio, no microwave in the room (but a microwave open is available to use in dining area). I would like to note and give points for the great conversation/seating areas in lobby with really cool Penn State items going back to the 1900s. And while it made no practical difference to me, the bookshelf wallpaper in the hallway was a tad over the top, and if it least one wall was a solid paint the color the "vibe" would be very different. Parking is ample in the deck and the main entrance is on AB level. Be advised the elevators had issues throughout my stay, and I "assume" management knows this. The hotel does have a restaurant which has limited operating hours, however the price and quality level was very good (try the breakfast burrito, recommended by the staff). Even with some quirky issues, overall my stay was more than pleasant, the location could not have been better, the staff was very friendly, the whole experience was just great so make it a point to stay here.

Yelp
This review is for the graduates ability as an Event Space and their restaurant area - not as a hotel guest. First, I had an event at the graduate that went ... just fine. Their speaker system was broken down or in poor function because nobody in the room could hear anything the entire event. I later heard from a friend also hosting an event there that the microphone batteries were dying and had to be changed so that could have been the problem at my event. Either way, the poor shape sound system was a huge detriment to my event and the staff was not particularly helpful in solving the problem. Ultimately it was easy to coordinate leading up to the event, but the challenges day of, which I would partially attribute to the staffs lack of urgency and unhelpfulness, was upsetting. I would probably give this a (3/5) by itself. The room was pretty and the menu was good. Second, the loss of another star comes from the fact that I bought a High Noon at the bar (a canned seltzer for those who don't know), because I assumed it would be closer priced to their canned beer ($8) than their cocktails ($15). BUT this high noon 12oz can was $15. Absolutely absurd, I was appalled. The pricing was insane. To quote Tyra banks "it was so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible; so I give you a one" (1/5) Combined to be a 2/5 overall.

Hannah T.

Yelp
The room was not clean and grossed me out with unknown hair. The desk was covered with dust, human hair and small pieces of paper. The floor was also dusty with small pieces of paper. The bathroom smelled like urine. The front desk intern told me that there was nothing she could do, but calling housekeeping to clean up right away. After three hours, when my family came back to the family suite, the room remained dirty and still grossed me out with unknown hair on the desk. The tray for the water glass was still covered with dust. Also, the water glasses had a few weird marks on them. Then, I opened the blanket and found a few unknown brown looking pieces on the bed. It was extremely unpleasant staying.

Yelp
This hotel did far surpassed my expectations. Especially the front desk Karaleigh. She is awesome and told us the hotel history and other locations of this hotel. The decor is lovely and very creative. The key cards are old students ID and made you feel very special while you are staying here. We will definitely come back here or go to other locations of graduate hotel.

Kate M.

Yelp
This hotel is the definition of lipstick on a pig. Still the same rundown hotel with new decor. The room was dirty- blood on the bedding, sludge in the sink, crumbs and debris on the ground and hairs everywhere. There were also 2 spiders in our room. The ac didn't work well, was noisy and thermostat didn't work to operate it. They charged an amenity fee and didn't give us the welcome drinks that are mentioned on the website. I don't recommend staying here.
google avatar

Elaine J.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance of the hotel and the decor is just like the photos! The beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The shower was lovely and the bathroom amenities were perfect! I love the environment friendly shower soaps- reducing unnecessary plastic waste!! The rooms and hallways were extremely quiet! I would highly recommend and do plan to stay again!

J M.

Yelp
I have stayed here several times . I like the rooms and the decor . My latest stay (11-1-23) was not as great : - they added a $20 amenity fee to my bill - which they dont explain at time of reservation, check-in , or check-out . You only see it when you get your bill (by email ) after you leave When I sent an inquiry the response was its "standard" since October , and it entitles one to a free drink and free coffee . Of course no one told me that and you wont see it on their website, so I didn't get either one . - I now drive an EV and I called ahead to reserve their one destination charger . Response was first come first serve . I arrived at 4 PM and there was someone using the charger. When i left at 11AM the next day , the same car was locked on to it ! I frequently visit State College and am sorry to say I may not be staying at the Graduate in the future

Jeffrey M.

Yelp
Housekeeping was fair. Room was dusty and sweeper never run in corners or next to walls. Had to have bathroom cleaned again after check in. Housekeeping doesn't pay attention to detail. Elevators are old and you experience a hard landing at each floor. If your room is not street side you get to experience the 9 large and noisy air conditioners outside. Front desk employees are nice but their communication to other shifts gets lost in the change over. Not worth the price. Beds are okay . Great location to downtown and PSU. Parking garage is tight so if you have a large vehicle it's almost impossible to navigate and park unless you take up 2 parking spaces.

Yelp
to preface: I gave the hotel every opportunity to rectify all of the below. I work in housing so understand that things happen. I travel to State College for work at minimum once per month. Typically, I stay at the Hyatt Place (next door) which I love, but I wanted to experience the Graduate just because I love their other locations. The positives: - the staff was kind. I understand I was here during winter break and that there was not a ton of traffic. The front desk host who welcomed me was very sweet and the first bartender was awesome. The location is fantastic and the decor (like other Graduate locations) is fun and very PSU oriented I arrived late so I opted to call first thing in the morning about the negatives. I asked the team at the front desk to send housekeeping to take care of the below items. After I listed a few, the agent hung up on me. I expected at least a few of the items to be taken care of when I arrived back from work that day, but no one came. The next day, I called the front desk again and no one answered. Since I had meetings all day, I listed the requests below in an email (still havent gotten a response). I got back from work and they still weren't taken care of. The Negatives: -Upon check in, I noticed a few things wrong with my room: 1. it looked as if it hadn't been deeply cleaned. there were crumbs on the desk, rings from cups on all surfaces, and the desk pad was sticky as if something had been spilled there 2. I requested a room with a tub as I have a bad foot that I often have to soak. the tub was broken and wouldn't fill so I had to get creative. This would be a real problem for any ADA requesting customers. 3. The coffee provided had expired in September (my stay was late December); pic attached. 4. The water cups provided were filthy (pic attached) 5. for the price of this hotel, i'd expect luxury bedding. The mattress was worn and the pillows were lumpy and old. 6. no water ANYWHERE. no vending machine, nothing. theres a food vending machine on one of the floors but the card reader was broken. Theres FIVE DOLLAR bottles of water in the lobby.... five dollars? when you've already charged me to stay here? take. a. hike. 7. the elevators are horrendous. they are begging to be renovated and have signs that say they are currently under renovation. In reading reviews, I can see that these signs have been here for upwards of 2+ years.. shake a leg. I would highly advise checking out Hyatt Place State College. Its cheaper, includes a fantastic breakfast, is WAY cleaner, and even a bit closer to central campus. I highly regret convincing my co-workers to stay here with me, and won't be back.

Yelp
I was trying to check out the hotel for a visitor, and could not get through their web site to see prices. I dunno, maybe I'll call in the morning, or try hotels.com.

Rick R.

Yelp
Overall a descent stay but there is room for improvement. Despite the updated funky décor, this really is an older hotel and it shows. The elevators in particular really need to be updated. Temperature regulation in the room was a chore. The lowest heat setting was 65 degrees yet the room would get well into the eighties at that setting. The doors between adjoining room could use some noise dampening. The folks staying next door decided to have a little pizza party at two in the morning. They were all talking at normal conversation levels but it sounded like they were in the room with me. The room was clean, staff was friendly, and the location can't be beat. Still, I may check out one of the other hotels next time I'm in town.

Yelp
I stayed two nights for a conference. I didn't expect much because of the rate and it was sort of a work conference. When I arrived I rode past it because the entrance was blocked due to construction so the exit doubled as the entrance. I made it to the parking lot and it looked a little sketchy so I thought the next two days would be miserable. I'm happy to report I was wrong! Despite the outside appearance once you come in, it's a decent space. Everyone was really friendly and the common areas were well maintained. I made it up to my room and it was a decent size. The bathroom was thankfully really clean and the bed was so comfortable. SN: this is Penn State territory so beware, lol! The decor is heavily influenced by the school. If I ever needed to come back to the area, I wouldn't mind staying here again.
google avatar

G P.

Yelp
construction zone right in front of the hotel makes a-lot of noise and $8 parking. The rooms are spacious but the windows are old. The elevator needs updating as its jn bad shape. Not bad for a nights stay but definitely not as good as the ratings in Google or Booking.com.
google avatar

Yelp
sad excuse for an establishment. perverted and unqualified management. i would rather stay at the super 8 than ever stay at this dump. save your money/aggravation and stay elsewhere. they should be embarrassed to be open and charging such an outrageous price for a shitty room/service. wish i could rate it 0 stars.

Yelp
The Graduate chain is awesome on a college campus. As former Penn State grad's we met up with my brother, sil and nephew who has PSU on his radar from Plano, TX. We live outside Philly so we were all about showing him around. We have a Tesla so we wish this option was advertised a little more. Once we realized it we plugged in. The rooms, room key are very fun. Only complaint is no coffee maker in the room but that's ok because they have a great coffee spot in the lobby. The atmosphere is fun and hip and I highly suggest it. You can easily walk anywhere on campus. They do have a Peloton bike which is super cool for us.

Amy B.

Yelp
We booked this hotel through Priceline and due to a huge snowstorm that came through, roads were closed and we couldn't make it to the hotel. Priceline said they contacted them for refund but it was up to the hotels discretion if they wanted to refund our stay. We ended up staying In Harrisburg and did not get a refund for the reserved night at this hotel. What a shame.

Yelp
I went here for a small wedding. The room we had the ceremony in was beautiful they had nice large windows at the end of the room which, brought in lots of light and a great view! The appetizer were great, constantly coming around and always warm! The staff were sweet and knowledgeable!! The food was good and plentiful!!

Yelp
Pros: The room is lovely. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. The decorating is interesting. Staff is friendly. Cons: no coffee maker in room. No free coffee. Major turn off is the $5 bottles of water on the table in the room. Come on! You expect me to pay $5 for tiny bottle of water? I stopped at the nearby CVS and bought bottled water. If you can't get an room elsewhere, this place might be OK. But be prepared to get dressed and go out in search of coffee in the morning. Or bring a thermos and fill it up before at night.

Yelp
Great beds, ok rooms. Limited kitchen and bar. Complete lacking in decent security and surveillance systems. Garage is virtually camera free, kind of dark and cavernous. Everything is an upcharge except TV and internet, even the water in the room is an upcharge so bring your own drinks. Dated in most every way. Ok stay, but not special.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and gorgeous renovation with the very best location in State College. The staff and service is excellent.

Yelp
Very cool place. Good location & friendly staff. My room reeked of exhaust fumes from something g on the ground floor and my heat/cool unit was broken; despite asking for a repair twice, no I s came to service. Housekeeping did not visit my room once during my two day stay leaving my garbage overflowing. Ice machine was broken and very hard to find. Plus: dogs allowed !

Yelp
If you are staying in State College don't go anywhere other than The Graduate! We stayed here for my brother's 21st and uncle's 50th birthdays. GM Harry Jones went SO SO SO far above and beyond to make sure that this was a special trip for them. They accommodated our request for two connecting rooms which was awesome. They had personalized cards, goodies, & even my brother's favorite drink waiting for us upon arrival! My whole family was so surprised! They even sent up a charcuterie board and a birthday cake (complete with candles!) to our room. From the minute we walked in the door it was a celebration. Mr. Jones even made sure to follow up with me throughout the weekend to make sure they were having fun and to see if there was anything else we needed. My family all lives in different states now, so getting to spend this special celebratory time together was so special. Our pups are part of the family too, so super cool that they could join us! The hospitality of The Graduate is totally unmatched by any other hotel I have ever stayed at. Aside from the incredible staff and management, the hotel itself is gorgeous! The decor is totally my style, as I usually hate hotels because they are so generic and sterile. This hotel was so unique! No detail was spared in the decoration and design. As for the beds.... I will miss them always. That was easily the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept on (hotel or not!). I can't wait to come back to The Graduate State College and I'm really hoping to stay in another Graduate property soon!

Yelp
This is my second stay at a Graduate property (first was in Athens, GA) and I can say they do it top notch. Great service. Fun décor. Comfortable room. They have a lounge you'd actually want to hang out in. I'm a big fan.

Yelp
Very clean, very well decorated. Parking on premises (paid). Rooms had spacious restrooms with quartz countertops. Friendly staff. Convenient to university campus.

Yelp
We had our annual Holiday party here in February. I worked with Jessica. Every detail I ask for was executed, exactly as promised! The rooms were all set up and ready early, so I could decorate them. We chose the Mediterranean Buffet and it did not disappoint. The staff was accommodating and very helpful to ensure our team was spoiled. I highly recommend this hotel for celebrating your special event! Special thanks again to Jessica for implementing all the details and for Courtney who perfectly served us!. Yelp
This hotel had the potential to be very nice but fell flat. There are numerous problems. For the cost, it really should have provided a nicer experience. The dining was very limited and pretty pricey. Service in the dining area was slow. The decor was kind of dated and a bit odd. Faux library wallpaper was made to convert the hallways into bookshelves. I can't say it was dirty but dingy is more accurate. Room service was only provided if you asked and we were never informed of this. Beds were unmade, trash not removed etc. much to our surprise. But the singular problem that frosted the entire experience for everyone I spoke to was the elevator service. There are three elevators and at most two were working, but most often only one. Never three. The hotel has 7 floors and 3 levels of parking below ground. It took 20 minutes to get an elevator from the bottom parking level. People were getting on the elevator going down so they would be able to go up. For the cost, they should have done better.

Yelp
Although staff was very helpful and friendly, our room was very disappointing 1. Shelves and cabinets were dirty and we found a dirty sock. 2. No coffee machine in the room and no continental breakfast for guests. 4. Temperature in the room was difficult to regulate.
