Graduate by Hilton Tucson (Tucson, Arizona) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Tucson, Arizona, second in size only to Phoenix, is no mere college town — but the Graduate Tucson, just across the road from the University of Arizona campus, is oriented almost entirely towards the collegiate life. Its interiors, in typical Graduate style, make much use of the school colors, in this case navy and cardinal, but here they’re softened by the inclusion of the pastel colors of Southwestern art and design, as well as materials like hardwood and leather." - Tablet Hotels

Perfect location. Especially for a football game. Exceeded our expectations. Hotel is really cool. Room was spotless and spacious. Beautiful view. Rooftop bar and pool was really fun and great place to watch the sunset. Staff were exceptional. Trish, Taylor, and Dina really stood out. Even Asreal who parked our car was very nice. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Definitely will stay here again.

Everyone we encountered here was amazing and so friendly, minus a couple ice bucket deliveries. Rooftop pool is nice and the view is amazing. Beds (for me) were a bit hard but I'm not used to stuff mattresses.. so that's probably more of my own issue. Room could be just a little bihher for 3 people and a pet if you have any but still wonderful. Trish is absolutely wonderful and if we go back ever, I hope she's there! Everyone at the restaurant was also amazing, especially Claire! Great atmosphere. Valet was good- Diego was most pleasant and welcoming.

We first stayed here when our son moved into his dorm this summer and were impressed with the staff and our room. Beyond that, we were so grateful for Aidan in valet. We bounced back and forth from the hotel a lot and he always met us with such grace and kindness. As soon as we got home we booked two more stays to come up and visit. Thanks to Aidan and the entire staff for helping us find our Tucson home at Graduate by Hilton.

Google
Love this hotel. Very fun atmosphere and vibe to the hotel. All the graduates have a good theme to them. This hotel is right next to the university of Arizona campus, so that’s a great plus. They have bikes that you can rent and ride around the city. The pool on the roof is awesome.

Google
Trish at the front desk welcomed us and upgraded our room. She was very professional and sweet. Our room was clean and comfortable, it felt like home. The decor is whimsical. The Moonstone rooftop bar was awesome, the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The drinks were exceptional and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The view is amazing! Breakfast downstairs was delicious and a great place to meet family before starting the day. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family in Tucson.

Google
Friendly staff, valet service was convenient, friendly & efficient! Rooms were clean, decor was flawless from the time you entered the hotel! Bed was so comfortable & loved the pillow choices! Only cons - only one elevator was working & could have better/more television channels.

Google
Serious attention to detail has gone into shaping the customer experience here. The interior design is brilliant -- colorful, quirky, fun. The shower was godly; comfortable beds; LOVED the rooftop restaurant & pool. You can't do better for the cost.

Google
Absolutely loved The Graduate by Hilton Tucson! The view from our room was stunning, the service was excellent, and the rooftop bar an interesting additional feature. We used the valet parking service, which was also very good. Can't recommend this hotel enough!

Yelp
The Graduate Hotel in Tucson is such an adorable, Arizona-themed hotel! The decor is absolutely impeccable; I couldn't stop talking about how inviting and charming it is throughout the entire hotel. Even the decor in the rooms features cactus and Arizona-themed elements. It really makes you feel so happy and at home! I also had the most amazing sunrise views from my hotel window!! They have an incredible rooftop bar with fire pits, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas, a full-service bar, a pool, and sprawling views of the Arizona mountains! It's the ideal spot to catch some of the most beautiful sunsets while enjoying food and drinks! There's also a coffee shop in the lobby where they serve breakfast and grab-and-go items. The service is wonderful, as the staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is a big win, too; it's within walking distance of downtown Tucson, nearby coffee shops and stores, and the university! I would highly recommend The Graduate and would absolutely stay here again!

Yelp
Rooftop bar is and has been phenomenal! Great food drinks and views whenever I go. The staff really make the experience because they are so friendly and check in often

Yelp
The Graduate Hotel in Tucson Arizona. Located in my old neighborhood. This is my favorite hotel in Tucson! I have stayed here over 200 nights, a testament to my appreciation for the hotel, and primarily the staff that work here! I have occasionally stayed at other hotels in the Tucson area, but I always have returned to the Graduate...200 times ++. No hotel anywhere has made me feel at home more than the Graduate Tucson has!

Yelp
The location is great and has a great energy to it. The staff is friendly and the rooms are fun. They have a great rooftop restaurant. And they are also pet friendly. We stopped there on our way back home from California to Houston. We will continue to do this on our annual trip.

Yelp
The room was clean, fun and in keeping with the theme "The Graduate" but with a midcentury modern western twist. The room's plaid arm chair was backed by an orbed cactus lamp and accented with a squirrel, rattlesnake, butterfly, frog , and bird patterned curtain. If that wasn't enough color, throw in a pink lampshade. For me, this all worked. There was also a digital, rotary phone, great smelling toiletries and key cards that pass as souvenirs. The key cards had former University of Tucson graduates with the dates they attended. To top that, a number two pencil was provided for a scantron notepad. Makes me wish I was back in college. I like an establishment that is serious about their theme, The Graduate. In keeping with the theme, I requested my partner call me Mrs. Robinson so we could role play the graduate. Afterall, he is younger than me. He said no.

Yelp
My husband and I did a staycation here and it was great! Love the theme they carry through all aspects of the hotel--like the room keys, the do not disturb signs, etc. So cute! Also love how the whole hotel and the rooms are decorated. Besides the convenient location to U of A, the best part of this hotel is the rooftop pool. Beautiful views. The only thing missing is a hot tub! The moonstone is a great asset as well--very fun rooftop bar. The rooms are so cute but they are extremely small. It made me wonder if this building actually was a dorm previously? The rooms are nice and love all the attention to detail in the lighting, the photographs, etc but it was very, very cozy. They offer valet parking for $28 but there's a parking garage super close that's only $16 for overnight so we opted for that. They also have free bike rentals. We passed on that due to the heat, but it's a nice feature. It would be fun to bike around campus. We got breakfast at the lobby coffee shop and it's extremely cute. Love all the coffee table books. I enjoyed looking at a few Georgia O'Keefe books. My husband and I each got a birria burrito for breakfast and while it was huge, I would not recommend getting it. I didn't think it was very good and there were bones in mine. Ew. Overall, this is hotel is a great addition to the campus scene. Perfect place for U of A parents and families.

Yelp
This is a fun, comfortable hotel! I love the custom coffee drinks at the Poindexter. I love the bicycles you can borrow. Comfy bed. Nice desk to work from. The room was small but still fine. And the pool was shallow but spectacular!

Yelp
What a cute stay - five stars all the way for location, amenities, service and overall value. My two night stay at the Graduate Tucson was for business, but there is so much to see and do in the area. The hotel is directly across from the Arizona State Museum, as well as the west campus side of University of Arizona, with plenty of restaurant, coffee, and drink options steps away from the hotel. As for the hotel, it's a very mid-mod southwestern vibe, and includes bike rentals, a rooftop pool and restaurant, fitness center, a ballroom/events space, a lobby cafe/bar, and Malin + Goetz bath products. The lobby bar serves up breakfast sandwiches, tacos, and of course, coffee and snacks; and it has plenty of seating and charging stations. And books! I was offered early check-in as well as late check out (12pm, no fee). Valet and onsite parking is available.

Yelp
Located in the edge of the U of A campus, The Graduate Tucson is a nice place to stay. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. Beds are comfy and the towels are soft. Water pressure is very good and the overall hotel is in great maintenance. While you can buy some drinks and snacks in the lobby - they don't have any vending machines. The cafe on property, Poindexter, has limited hours and a limited menu. There is also a rooftop bar, but we didn't have the opportunity this trip to check it out. Definitely not on the cheap side, but a nice place to stay!

Yelp
Splendid! Warm and inviting and restful. By far one of my favorite hotels I've stayed out, mostly because all of the staff are so friendly and professional, but also because of how warm and cozy and classy this place is! A few highlights: the location, which is right in the heart of downtown, so you're steps from cook restaurants, bars, shopping. The rooftop bar should not be missed, though - beautiful space, great drinks (and a diverse brew selection) and wonderful food. My room was so beautiful - I had to force myself out of that shower! And the hot water kettle with quality coffee crystals is genius. The decor in my room was interesting and this is very unlike me, but I was taking picture after picture in this hotel! I was here for a private event, and the staff who assisted us were on point the entire time. Food was interesting and delicious (those breakfast burritos? I wanted the whole pan...!). I enjoyed the experience so much that I have a new bucket list goal to check out more Graduate hotels across the country. Sounds like a worthwhile plan to me!

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights for business and I really like the character of the hotel. It's located smack in the middle of University of Arizona Tucson so there are tons of restaurants/coffee shops/stores in walking distance. It's a lovely hotel with lots of Tucson character. The 'dorm-style' of the rooms were cool, the room had a super fun curtain print with squirrels/cacti/etc, there was a cactus-like lamp as well, and overall the room had bold/vibrant colors. I also like the security of the hotel-- you have to scan your room key card to go up the elevator. A/C works well, soap/shampoo that was provided smelled nice, and the beds were comfy. The shower was clean and the water was piping hot- no complaints. Unfortunately, there is NO microwave, only a mini-fridge. Water bottles in the room cost $5, and there were two 'tokens' that you could redeem downstairs for a cup of coffee if you so wish. The rooftop bar is gorgeous (the Moonstone, so definitely head over there. It was packed though. Overall, I had a great experience, and I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Graduate hotels are always decorated to reflect the local area. This one in Tucson reflects the desert. Unfortunately I have a paranoid fear of snakes, and the drapes have numerous images of snakes. And a framed picture of a snake. The stuff of nightmares in my world.
google avatar

Leslie M.

Yelp
The only reason we decided to stay here was due to this view, the roof top pool and bar. It was only for one night, it was a decent hotel. The room was small, not worth the price. It's aesthetically pleasing but practical? Prob not if traveling with kids. The bar has very overpriced drinks that were not good. I ordered the moonstone that stated it had eatable glitter? There was no glitter. It was a piece of dried lemon with a dash of glitter, you can't see it... The valet guys are super nice and the check in guy was super sweet. Staff is sweet.

Yelp
This was, by far, my best stay at a hotel I've ever been to. And I've been to Hawaii, Vegas, Cali, etc. A very pleasant dog-friendly hotel that makes owners and pups feel very comfortable and welcomed. The staff at Graduate and Moonstone were so accommodating and friendly. Jordan at the front desk always greeted Rocco and had the best demeanor every time I saw her. Lexi, the bartender at Moonstone was so pleasant and it was so refreshing to be treated so kindly. I will never stay anywhere else and can't wait to come back!! Cheers to an EXCELLENT STAY and STAFF!!!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Very expensive- cute room but VERY small. No coffee in the room- but you can pay $4 for a small drip coffee downstairs after waiting in line for 20 min- for just ok coffee. Had to ask for water and toilet paper and batteries for the remote and and and. - just seemed like for the price nothing was easy. The rooftop bar was beautiful but the drinks were ok and overpriced and the staff were rude. Will not stay here agin unless thy change a few things. I guess because of the location they can charge $$$$ and offer ok service. No room coffee?????
google avatar

Caitlin H.

Yelp
Wow! Truly rude staff. Check in at 1:30- rude. Man working at 9pm front desk on 3/6/24? Beyond rude. These people need training or a new line of work. I have had better service at an Econo lodge. Rooms are decorated in a bizarre and jarring pseudo desert design. I'm a bit afraid to go to sleep bc the colors clash so much. Spend your money elsewhere.
google avatar

Jenn F.

Yelp
GREAT location if you're visiting UoA. The hotel is well decorated. The beds are comfy with feather pillows and duvet covered comforters. Black out drapes as well as sheers make for great sleep as well as natural light during the day. Space is tight in the standard room and the water pressure isn't great, but the location and especially the staff will keep me coming back. The employees are so nice and responsive. They literally text to make sure you have all that you need.
google avatar

Yelp
This hotel makes a huge effort in the details! From the studying door pendant to the really cool plaid floors, to the rooftop pool and bar. It's a cool spot. Parking was really not convenient- if you have a larger vehicle such as a van/ sprinter etc.. it'll be a bit tricky. Otherwise the hotel is awesome. Closest to the campus and great service. Really cute little morning coffee shop too.
google avatar

Iliana M.

Yelp
It was ok. Was only here for one night but the guy who checked us in was nice and so was the valet. The pool has great views of the city but the bar is overpriced and the drinks aren't all that. The room is aesthetically pleasing but quite small so not a lot of room to move around. The bathroom is huge and everything is clean, the beds are also comfortable.
google avatar

Robbin M.

Yelp
Cute business model and rooms with character. Roof top bar and pool add even more flair. Small area so not a lot of room for crowds but a cute place to stay located right by the University Campus downtown Tucson. Tons of restaurants and bars walking distance as well as the town train. Friendly staff but don't mess with Max in the coffee shop. Guess he needs some coffee
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels in tucson. I live in tucson and have stayed here many times for a nice little staycation. It's close to all the action with great restaurants and bars nearby, the pool deck and restaurant have stellar views, and the decor is wonderful in the entire building. Love this place.
google avatar

Kirsten D.

Yelp
Did a staycation this weekend because we wanted to check out The Moonstone rooftop bar. And who doesn't want a little get away in the midst of a crazy world. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was really quaint and quirky, just as the website showed. The location of the hotel is in walking distance to tons of bars and restaurants. The pool was heated and we enjoyed the epic view while swimming. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
I would have to say, this is my new favorite Tucson hotel hands down. It's super trendy and the decor is definitely TUCSON. We stayed in a Graduate King. Rooms are super cute and Instagram picture worthy. I love that they have Malin+Goetz as their shampoo and conditioner! Shower was amazing, except the shower door opens inward. Bed was super comfy along with the pillows! Which is a huge deal! I can't wait to come back and visit the rooftop bar! Xoxo, @megsthemarketer
google avatar

Yelp
Was here for the grand opening. Came back for the next visit because once you've had an awesome stay why try anywhere else and be disappointed. Love it here! Will be back!
google avatar

Jeneka S.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Comfortable beds, clean rooms, killer rooftop bar with great drinks, and within a block of U of A & at least a dozen restaurants. Will stay there again next time I'm in Tucson!
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for Labor Day weekend. The hotel was clean and we appreciated the Covid safety protocols. The hotel is decorated so tastefully! The bar area was a great experience, however the drinks are over priced, about $14 for an adult Capri sun that was half filled. I would say the a downfall is the parking situation Valet only. $26 plus tax a day is a bit steep, but it was quick and the valets were friendly. We loved how close it was to bars and restaurants. We were able to easily take transit to downtown for shopping and restaurants.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a fun little hotel that takes an older guy like myself and takes me back to my college days. It's themed as a college dorm from back in the 70s but modernized...basically without shag carpeting and comfy beds! Rooms, hallways, and elevators were clean and the bathroom & showers were also very clean. Staff was excellent and friendly and was able to help out with requests and were quick about responding to said requests. The rooftop bar and pool were amazing!!! I was so into it, I forgot to grab pics of it. Very safe area if you want to go for a stroll and wonderful scenery!!
google avatar

Brianna M.

Yelp
This hotel is super cute. We felt very welcomed and taken care of by every staff member and enjoyed the hotel's rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. Our room was spacious with a great view and the aesthetics are playful and quirky. I don't think I'd bring our toddlers here but the hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway for my husband and I to explore Tucson.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Amazing hotel and the staff are freaking wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and there's a rooftop pool and bar. The first floor has coffee and light breakfast. I love this place. My husband got a bottle of Prosecco for when we arrived which was really nice. The amenities are fabulous and I really enjoyed being so close to U of A. The campus and Mountain View's are beautiful from the rooms. Great hotel!
google avatar

Lyndsey E.

Yelp
The Graduate is such a fun hotel. I have a huge appreciation for the way they engage the local community with events and provide a fun and whimsical getaway for a staycation or vacation for out of town guests right near the university. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the moonstone rooftop bar has the most incredible views in town. The rooms and rooftop pool are small due to the location but they fit a lot of fun details in the rooms like mid century style saguaro lamps to desert critter curtains to really make for an awesome experience!
google avatar

Danny L.

Yelp
Beautiful decor, friendly staff and comfy rooms. The aesthetics in this hotel were strategically planned/done and you can feel it as soon as you step inside the lobby and then your room. Rooftop bar and pool are amazing as well. This is our go to every time we visit Tucson.
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
Made a weekend visit to Arizona and stayed at this trendy hotel Graduate Tucson @graduatehotels near Arizona University. Entering the lobby you are met with the most enchanting fragrance. Visited the bar and pool area and you won't be disappointed with the balcony view they offer, city lights with a pitch black backdrop at night and the beautiful mountain canvass in the day. Four stars only because, the esthetic was really designed around the college students.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise that we encountered by staying here on a last minute booking! Located downtown with tons of restaurants within walking distance. Both street parking or Vallet (cost $10?). Front desk staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a coffee bar in the lobby and a Lounge/Bar on the rooftop. The pool has a wall that separates the lounge and the pool.. so the kiddos can play! The decor is very fun, vibrant colors with some wood accents. Rooms are a decent size and very clean. There are 2 wood tokens in the room for a free regular coffee from the coffee bar. Bottles of water are $5 each in-room. No ice buckets in room.. have to be ordered from the Lounge. Check out time is 11am. Would def stay again!

Yelp
Pro: Friendly staff at checkin. Nice rooftop bar with a small menu, good food. Friendly servers. Comfortable rooms, beds, bedding. Clean. You can smell the bleach on the bedding (no bedspreads, which I prefer) Provides large bottles in shower of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Conveniently located in walking distance to university blvd where there's is shopping and tons of restaurants. Cons: Parking. Valet at $29/day or park across the street 1/2 block away at parking structure for $16. Checkin: friendly, fast, I'm used to someone asking how many keys I want, but instead they handed me one, and I had to go back for another one. I've never been handed just one before. Sadly, the strong scent in the lobby became nauseating after a few times through, some kind of air freshener but it's so strong. Rooms are a tad small, not spacious, but do provide a large tv, desk and a chair/ottoman, Nice shower/bathroom, Extra towels near the elevator to take at your convenience so no need to call and ask for more. However you have to call and ask for ice. Small fridge provided. Two cans of water but not sure if they are free.
google avatar

Gemma G.

Yelp
Nice and clean.. rooftop has beautiful views. Pool is very nice. Staff very kind and helpful . Rooms have great views too. Close to lots of restaurants and bars..Would def stay again

Yelp
Really cute hotel with fun decor & furnishings. The hotel is in a great location which is both a pro and a con. The pros: it's new, so convenient to U of A, restaurants, bars, streetcar to go to Fourth Ave or downtown, registration was friendly & helpful, great views, nice rooftop bar (and pool). The cons: street noise can be loud if you're a light sleeper, bed has a firm mattress, close to university and student apartment high-rises, if you have a car higher than 7 feet then SUV won't fit in their garage, nearby street parking is metered except for weekends but it's busy and you better be able to parallel park. If you want a central location, then stay at Graduate Tucson.
google avatar

Victoria H.

Yelp
Favorite place to stay when in town. All the staff here are great, the rooms are clean and the hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The valet is convenient and the rooftop bar is a huge plus. Will be back!
google avatar

Pat C.

Yelp
I stayed here two night in July. The staff were great, attentive, and no overbearing. The hotel, the rooms, really capture the flavor of Tucson, the culture, and the university. The room cards have pics of famous alum. Steve Kerry's student ID card image was my room card. A fun, boutique style hotel
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
The hotel was clean and well lit. Employees are professional, knowledgeable and have great attitudes. The room was spacious, tech friendly and comfortable. Parking could be tuff, but you could easily walk to the university, restaurants, bars, stores and coffee shops in 5-10 minutes.
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
A Boho Glam Dream Each touch of the Graduate's first newly built hotel evokes a sense of boho glam from the persian rugs artfully adorning the front desk to the wall sized weavings, intentionally chosen art pieces and plaid carpeting. The bar ceiling is covered in dream catchers of all shapes and sizes, including a city view pool and crystals on the poolside tables. There's swinging chairs and enough Instagram worthy spots to keep your feed popping for months. The best part is with its proximity to U of A, Graduate Tucson is truly a hotel that both students and parents will love. The amenities and touches of an upscale hotel paired with hip, boho vibes and even fancy jello shots. This is the perfect hotel to book when you want to please the whole fam. Even if you're local, recommend popping into Poindexter Coffee in the lobby and enjoy working in a space sure to have your senses engaged and inspired.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night passing through on a road trip east. This place was new, fresh, clean, and cool. I had my dog with me and was mostly concerned about where I could take her to the bathroom. There is a university campus at the end of the street with tons of grass and grounds to walk on. This place was perfect for a traveler with a pet and will most definitely be staying here again on my way back home.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful. I stayed one night, after calling directly to see if they could match a 3rd party rate. The rooftop bar is stunning, and the bartender made me a delicious cocktail. The room was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and coffee. No probs with the service. One criticism--I could not use the pool, because there were a ton of people and I doubt they were all guests--unless this is suddenly UoA student housing. Also keep in mind that it is so close to the university that you will encounter UoA parents who all look the same--moms who are white, slim, tan, straightened long hair, skinny jeans, snooty...dads all coiffed and arrogant.

Yelp
Aside from the masks and posted signs about covid-19, one could almost forget about the pandemic while staying here. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We were up on the 12th floor and had a beautiful view of the city. The room was clean and well-appointed. The lighting in the bathroom will make you schedule a facial, however. The unfortunate placement of an overhead light *directly* above where you stand in front of the sink will add some years to what you think you look like. I quickly learned to stand 18 inches farther away to avoid giving myself nightmares. We had coffee in the downstairs cafe both mornings (Thank you Amy!), and drinks on the rooftop terrace next to one of the fireplaces our second night there. Fantastic service from everyone. Would absolutely look forward to staying here again (but I'll be wearing a hat anytime I'm in the bathroom).
google avatar

Janaury G.

Yelp
Must stay! The cutest hotel I have been to in a while. Pet friendly and even gave treats upon arrival. The rooftop bar is outstanding. Staff is so sweet and can't beat the price. I would stay here every time I'm in Tuscon.
google avatar

Sherry A.

Yelp
Cute decor, great checkin experience, good location, but everything else needs work. Waited 20 minutes for valet before ditching and self parking, waited 15 minutes at non-crowded breakfast bar for a cup of coffee and wasn't even acknowledged, waited 45 minutes at non-crowded rooftop lounge, left irritated. Room's bedside light didn't work, reported issue, wasn't repaired. Flashing light on smoke detector prevented a good night sleep along with extra large space under door that let in bright light from hallway. They've got some issues to reconcile before I'll stay there again.
google avatar

Carolyn N.

Yelp
LOVE this place! We stay here every time we visit Tucson - super friendly staff, clean cute rooms, and they're pet-friendly! Love the pool and rooftop bar, honestly, BEST place for the price! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
google avatar

Kasey G.

Yelp
New rooftop bar in town! I really liked the location of the graduate, between university and the high rise apartments, as well as the view. The inside was very aesthetically pleasing, not only the bar, but the whole hotel from what it looked like entering. Prices aren't awful for a "rooftop bar" and there's not too many true rooftop bars in Tucson.
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
Cute hotel in a great location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Staff is awesome! Very friendly and welcoming!

Yelp
This is our 3rd stay here. As always, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The valets are quick and courteous. There is a coffee counter in lobby that is good and quick. The rooms are clean and very quiet. The a/c works great. The shower is hot and the new tv is nice. You can check out a bicycle free of charge for a 2 hour period. The bar had good drinks and food. We will be returning.
